The kids twitched down to their core at Kaya's statement.
" Auntie, I hate to remind you but, the forest entrance is still on fire and I don't see you doing nothing about it. Or is it that you can't do anything about it?? " A questioning statement paired with a nasty grin was all it took for Nakash to put Kaya back in her place, holding back absolutely nothing.
Kaya and her magic was the bane of his life and Nakash spared no opportunity to express it.
Kaya on the other hand was rather stunned and left speechless for moment.
' First, a bunch of unleavened bulls and now this. Nakash, I swear!!! You're seriously asking for it. '
Red in anger, her mouth opened and closed like an air gobbling gold fish in silence for more than ten seconds. Sadly, by the time she was able to gather back her thoughts, Nakash already snagged her voted of confidence.
Nakash's direct attack stupefied even Lia. Feeling helpless, she gave her son a sympathetic look and bowed herself out of the argument.
' You're too good at courting your own death. '
Nitiya and Saaransh tried their best to stifle their laughter but, failed negatively. Brother Fernandez, Nani and Father stood shaking their heads at the bickering children.
" That's enough you two..." With time ticking away, Father Abraham was forced to end the happy moment. " Kaya, if my memory serves me correctly then, I believe it's Nakash who happens to be the six year old and not you. So I suggest that you to stop wasting your precious brain cells on trying to come up with a refutable comeback. It's a lost cause. Instead, why not utilise them on finding the meaning of Lia's words. " The elder pretended to be stern but, his words had gentle undertone. " Now that we're sorted, Kaya its time you join your brother and cousin in the frontline. " Father's voice cracked as his said the last word. Nani and Brother Fernandez too were ridding the same emotional boat. Their only hope was Lia.
Sparks had already began flying between the two parties as both reached the point of no return.
Meanwhile, there was a completely different story going on between Surbhi and Soham. Neither words could express the love they felt for each other nor could they understand why the other would avoid meeting them in the eye. One was drowning in guilt while the other was cold in fear.
They blamed themselves for their partner's pain. To the world and even before Saaransh they were just like any normal married couple. Only in the deepest corner of their hearts, they knew how strained their relationship really was.
Surbhi was terrified about the confrontation still she remained composed because she somewhat understood Lia from a mother's prospective. She knew that if Lia can return death back to its realm then given her way, she would do everything in her power to avoid this mess.
But every person has a bottom line and the triplets have crossed Lia's by a mile. Hence, this was a necessity.
Surbhi was grateful towards Lia as well. It may not have come explicitly but, if not for her intervention, there was no way Nakash and Nitiya would not have stayed back from the fight and if they joined, Saaransh would follow them without a shadow of a doubt.
Having her son return from the doors of death, Surbhi couldn't bring herself to send him back into the war zone again. Especially this time when both of her loved once were staking themselves.
Fate has cruely engulfed her in this tug-of-war as a price that she must pay. And this is where Soham blames himself for involving her in his life. If not for circumstances forcing them to come together, Surbhi would've been spared from all the horror, pain and worries that her life with Soham has bestowed upon her.
Forced though their marriage was, spending little time with Surbhi made Soham realise what inner gem her outer shell hides.
Heart is a mysterious thing ; powerful but kind that turned the technopath, humanoid computer into a die hard lover.
It was love that drowned Soham in guilt whenever Surbhi faced the out of this world ordeals of being with him.
On the other hand, it was love that gave Surbhi both the courage and patience to face ordeals such as this while, showing her glimpse of Soham in his ture sense.
However, the only point of difference between them was that while Surbhi gave her all to their relationship and accepted everything with open heart, Soham gave up on everything and did his best to bring an end to their relationship. For him, it was better to have a bitter end than to have a lifetime of trials and tribulations.
On the contrary, Surbhi believed in overcoming the obstacles of her new life and finding happiness for both herself and Soham. Because unlike Soham, she didnot just see obstacles but, also saw the pain and trauma that her husband and his family has been going through for years.
Away from the argument, Lia silently read the strained couple and the array of emotions that played in them with a delicate smile. ' Hold on just a little more, Sister-in-law. Your love and patience will not be futile. '
" Lia, we should really be stepping on things. The sunrise will be at four sharp. " Soham urged, pretending not to notice Lia's smile.
Instantly, Lia's delicate smile turned into a deadly smirk. Both she and Soham turned their gazes back outside on the fuming triplets.
By now the triplets finally reached the end of their wits and their desperation was at its peak.
With The Great Arcruz's reappearance, they realised that there is more to the Eye of Infinity than just the crystal itself. What struck them even more was how the kids remained unscratched even after taking a direct hit.
The Great Arcruz circled the mansion grounds from the sky above, the magic dome was back in place with a twist. This time the barrier not only protected the mansion from outside attacks but, also itself by absorbing the energy from the spells used to assult it.
" AARRGH!! HOW DARE THEY??? " Dominic roared. The fact that he was out smarted by three tiny kids was not something he was able to digest. In his fit of rage, he unleshed some of the most deadliests spells that even the gods had no means of counter. However, the moment those spells touched the barrier they dissolved into the barrier as if they were a part of it.
" Cool it, Brother!! Those kids aren't any ordinary kids. They did not just outsmarted us but, are even capable of mind reading and controlling. And they have the backing of some great power. " Dhar snapped. His eyebrows creased deeply at the train of his own thoughts and couldn't care less about his own brother's ego. " Can you not see, how those three are still in one piece without so much of a scratch while our spells disappear like candies. " Dhar was running thin on his patience with Dominic's irrationality and narcissism.
" What is it, Dhar?? Spit it out already... " Demetrius knew that Dominic was now a lost case even though he was back to himself. Therefore, instead of tending to him Demetrius chose to side with Dhar upon noticing the sudden change in his attitude and knew something was definitely wrong.
