Chapter 44 - Elixir Of The Undead....

Lia's words served as a massive blow for Demetrius.

He stared at the being before him and from Lia's smug look, it felt as if she was the triplets and he was the virgin.

How ironic???

Demetrius stopped struggling, his body began to tremble violently. Staring at the burnt down mansion before him, he dropped to his knees. His shoulders slumped in defeat. His head hung low in shame.

Shame of being defeated by virgin....

Tables had indeed turned against him....

How the mighty have fallen ; once a hunter is now being hunted and that too with his own tactics.

Yet, Demetrius had nothing to refute. Harsh though it was, what Lia said was more than just the truth.

It was his own fault no doubt and he'll have to pay for that. He was too careless and too focused only on acquiring the Eye that he completely lost sight of survival.

His overconfidence was the cause of his downfall.

He looked around and caught a glimpse of Nitiya discussing at the center of the gathering along with look of acknowledgement, approving whatever was she was saying.

Demetrius closed his eyes. He could clearly feel his energy being sucked out from his core and being channelized into something else. He felt physically weak and drained for the very first time. But, things were far from being over. Infact, it wasn't exaggerating to say that Lia was just starting to have some fun messing with Demetrius.

Sometimes, people tend to get so lost in complexities that the simplest of things staring at their face gets over looked. It not that knowing such things would've changed history but, they were enough to turn the tables.

What Lia did or was doing, the whole idea behind it was to make the triplets as well as her family realize the true meaning of their circumstances. In this case, it was the power source of the triplets.

One must know that the triplets were anything but a vampire from the twilight series or closely related to any of the vampire concepts the humans are accustomed to. They were reconstructed and sent to the Dark Vortex after the three were burnt alive in their human form. Their desire to survive and bloodlust was something truly out of the world. As a result, they attracted three of the most unique elements of the creation towards them. Elements that were crafted by the Great Arcruz ; when combined together, they created the ' Elixir Of The Undead '. This unique, one of the kind potion was actually flowing in the triplets veins as the venom.

The elixir contained three components ; a droplet from the Infinity Ocean, an ember from the Dragon's Flame and last but never the least a fully bloomed Fredclarlisis Dark Angel.

Each component had it's own unique features and contributed it's magical core into making the elixir.

Lia, from the very start had wormed her way and managed to tap into the components of this unique potion. Now, she was actually extracting it's binding energy. By doing so, the components were begining to fall apart, causing a mess amongst the component's individual balance of power.

Demetrius, oblivious about the strings Lia was pulling under his skin he remained still inside his confinement for a few minutes.

" You have me exactly where and how you wanted, so what are you waiting for??? " Demetrius asked arrogantly. " Kill me already and lets have this over with. " He was a mess at first and he thoughts and emotions were all over the place until something crossed his mind and he regained his composure with a nasty grin.

" Why?? Can't handle the taste of your own medicine!!! " Lia said innocently but, in her heart she rolled her eyes at Demetrius for his pathetically stupid antitics.

Who did he think she was???

Did he really think she won't be able see through his trick???

Just how thick was he???

" That's not what I meant... " Demetrius said suggestively. " I just think that you claim to be so high and mighty, then why are you letting your siblings work as your minion. Don't you people take your virginity and righteousness above everything?? Then why are you letting them do what you should be doing?? Why are you letting them have the fruit of your hard work??? "

Ah!! Little Missy, when you were learning to walk on the branches, I was already gliding through the leaves.

Lia clicked her tongue holding her chin, she pretended to be in a deep thought.

' Wow!! I have to admit I underestimated your shamelessness, Demetrius... A thousand rascals must have died before you were born. ' she thought and quickly glanced at Nitiya.

Seeing the little one had almost nailed the puzzle she had thrown, Lia decided to give her a peek of her plan as a reward and pick up some pace.

" You're right Demetrius!!! We graudians have never allowed others to take advantage of our hard work. Neither should I...." Demetrius's eyes glimmered upon hearing Lia, he was under the impression that she took his bait.

Surprisingly, the feeling was mutual but, the subtext wasn't as Lia continued. " Therefore, I have absolutely no regrets in taking out this..."

The look Demetrius gave upon seeing what Lia showed him opening her palm was priceless and far more hilarious than she had originally anticipated.

Shaking from laughter Lia mercilessly gave Demetrius a through salt scrub. " Did you really take me for fool, Demetrius!! Even when you and your brothers are trapped in my crafted plan, you had the audacity to think I knew nothing about you and your existence?? " Lia responded sternly. Here was a sharp anger in her voice.

She now truly understood what her predecessors felt when facing these blood hounds.

It wasn't exaggerating to say that Lia was exaggerating when she that.

Horrified and Thunderstruck....

Yes!! That's what Demetrius and Nitiya felt respectively at that moment because what rested on Lia's palm was the ember from the Dragon's Flame.

And just as Demetrius was trying to wrap his head around this new development....

" AAAHHHH!!!. "

A painful scream echoed from the further depth of the mountains followed by another.

" AAAHHHH!!!! "

Demetrius looked panic. He was well versed as to whose screams they were and looked at the directions to where Dominic and Dhar flew off with the siblings.

CLINGG!!! CLINGGG!! CLINGGGG!!

As soon as the screamed died down, sound of heavy metal chains revebrated in the air from where Dominic's scream came.

Not just the sound, with it soon came the shackles too.

Everything happened within a fraction of a second but, none missed a single detail.

Especially, Demetrius himself.
