Eons and eons ago, when the heaven and hell were still under the process of development, Lord Icarus's thought took a turn for the worst. Feeling his creativity to be stagnant and unchallenging, his thoughts became the seed of what later came to be known as the root cause of all the problems in the creation.
In the realm of Zenith, it was an evening like any other. The sky blushed at setting sun than welcomed the inky night. Somewhere deep in the ocean valley, following the gravel pathway that wound it's way through the mystic garden lead up to the gazebo.
Eight humongous and intricately craved stone pillars placed in pairs on every edge supported the gazebo. Covering the gazebo was stone dome equally craved as the pillars. The grandeur of the gazebo was no less than that of a palace. In fact, sitting on the centre of the lake Roca Lucha and surrounded by waterfalls, the gazebo stood as proud as a palace.
However, grandeur was not all that the gazebo held. Admist the grandeur, there stood the creator himself ; Lord Icarus wordlessly gazing down at his still incomplete work ; gazing his imperfection.
The evening breeze teased his bangs. His sheen white gown fluttered alongwith the rhythm of the wind. His adorning silver ornaments glittered, reflecting the rays from the setting sun.
It was a sight to behold.
It was the picture of the creator, created by his creation.
And yet, it was flawed...
For his golden blonde brows creased together in disapproval. His condemnatory eyes inspected every inch his creation searchingly. In his mind, floated over and over the picture of the creation that he so wanted to create.
' Something's amiss but, What??? '
Everytime Lord Icarus confronted this question, he felt both frustrated and exhausted. No matter what he created or much he racked his brain, his creation by far matched with his imagination.
" A frown doesn't suit you, my Lord. Only smile makes you look attractive. " A gentle voice addressed him, pulling back him from his train of thoughts. It was the most sweet and calming voice that one had ever heard.
Instantly, a smile replaced his frown as turned to the owner of the voice. His frustration and exhaustion were now a thing of the past.
" It is you who attracts me the most, my love. " Lord Icarus replied lovingly.
With coolingness of the moon light on her procelain face, sharpness of knowledge in her almond shaped eyes, melody of the seven notes playing in her voice and mercy in her nature there she was ; there Lady Arika was bathing in the rays of the setting sun.
Sacred and pure as the driven snow, her bewitching beauty enslaved the creator's heart in more than many ways.
" You honour me but, is this all there is to it?? " Lady Arika objected, clearly upset.
" You know better than anyone that its not true yet, you woundingly accuse me. " Lord Icarus joked only to receive a threatening glare from a sulking Lady Arika.
" I'm not falling for your pretty words. I know some thing's bothering you lately but, you simply refuse to share your troubles me. Why, do you not trust me??? "
Lord Icarus signed, having nothing to say in his defence. Indeed, he had not shared his worries with her as he didn't intended to unnecessarily bother her. On the other hand, he understood how insecure and neglected she must've been feeling because of it.
" I apologise for hurting your feelings, Arika. Believe me, I had absolutely no intention of doing so. I didn't want to unnecessarily bother you, that's all. " Lord Icarus pleaded, gently wiping away a tiny drop of tear before it even had the chance to drop out.
" Unnecessary!! " Lady Arika was visible surprised. " My Lord, how can something bothering you be unnecessary for me?? If anything, I'd be more than happy to help you. "
Lady Arika's words hit him square on his heart, stirring up waves of emotions as he stood there grinning like a fool.
" I'll remember that from now on..." He said clearing his throat, trying to get back to himself when Lady Arika's words hit him again but, in a completely different sense.
That's when he realised what an actual fool he was...
He switched gears immediately and signed again, this time it was one filled with frustration.
" Actually Arika, I would like have your opinion about something. " Lord Icarus asked as he arranged his own messed up thoughts.
" Of course, my Lord. May I enquire as to what this is about?? " Lady Arika's enthusiasm was infectious enough to make Lord Icarus look forward to creating changes again. Something that he has been dreading for awhile now.
With disappointment clouding his deep blue eyes he said looking back at the heaven and hell. " I don't understand... No matter what I try, nothing seems work. This is a far cry from what I had imagined to create. I feel like I'm making everything but, can't seem to keep it moving. "
Lord Icarus spilled everything in one single breath. " Something's missing... Something's lacking but, I don't know what ??? " He further added. Desperation and helplessness was evident in his features.
He was on the verge of giving up.
Lady Arika on the other hand, was an exceptionally good listener and from her smile it was clear to Lord Icarus that she understood everything in the sense he wanted her to understand.
After a quick glance at the incomplete heaven and hell Lady Arika spoke, chosing her words very carefully. She understood the full weight of what was bestowed upon her.
" A reflection can only be seen in calm waters and not in rough, my Lord. "
Lord Icarus was literally thunderstruck by those words.
Lady Arika giggled upon seeing his stunned expression but, continued anyways. " Your answer is right in front of you, my Lord. Calm your anxiety and see for yourself. "
Lord Icarus couldn't fathom as to where Lady Arika was leading him but, he gave in anyways.
" You said that something is lacking in your creation. Something that you're missing. I believe that your answer lies in your question itself. Everything you're doing is because of lacking. " Lady Arika continued.
" Lacking??? What I'm doing is because of lacking??? Arika, I really don't follow you at all. "
" Lack is exactly what's lacking, my Lord... "
