Chapter 53 - Code Break

Haze looked out the window after clearing the code of bliss challenge. The city seemed to be rising quickly out of the earth. The sound of trees crunching could be heard as the patient in the background laughed and screamed.

"Ha, YOU GUYS ARE DEAD?! YOU GUYS ARE SO DEAD!"

"She's insane." Rail looked at her with a pitiful expression as she sighed and pointed at Zack's sword. "Kill her and get your sword. We can't leave it down here."

"She's kind of cute in a crazy way," Zack sighed and walked towards her slowly as Haze looked at the computer. There was a few apps besides for the code of bliss that were showing up now. One of them was a link to his account.

He opened it up and saw a new link at the bottom of the application called summon gods with a picture of a dragon next to it. It wasn't hard for him to understand that this new feature was because he completed the code of bliss challenge.

"You think this works?" Haze clicked on the link carefully as if he was worried that it might cause the computer to explode. It took just a second for Nicety, Lapis, Helm and Port to appear behind him. "Wow, I guess it does work."

"It's probably a temporary feature," Rail pointed outside as dust crumbled down the towers as the buildings slowly started to push through the ground. The sun appeared in the window as Haze looked at his application and noticed a message. "I wouldn't worry too much about that. We still have to kill nine more gods."

"Yup, however, Haze... Maybe you shouldn't look at the app right now?" Waist rubbed his shoulders as he opened his [chat window]. "We don't have time for that right now."

"He has time." Helm cracked his fists and walked over to Haze. "You mind if I look at that computer. If I memorize the code, I might be able to find something useful in a few days."

"What do you mean memorize the code?" Rail looked at Helm and raised her brow. "There must be trillions of numbers on that computer. You can't possibly memorize all of them..."

"No, but it's worth as shot," Helm sat down as Haze stood and pushed aside the chat window. All he got was a message from [Joke Land], and he figured it could wait. "This computer was put here by the company. I always wanted to take a look at their server."

"It sounds like a bad idea," Waist wiped the sweat off her head and smiled as closed. Helm opened up a black coders screen and started looking through the syntax. "Anyways, I-I have something to tell you Haze. It's about why I'm here."

"We don't have time," Haze pointed to the side of the tower as it finally pierced through the ground and decimated more of the trees. "It looks like we're on the surface now. Rail, can you teleport us outside now?"

"Yup, however, we can't just leave Helm here right?"

"Put a portal on me, Michigan," Helm yawned as his fingers moved faster than Haze's eyes could see. "If I'm in trouble, I'll scream. I doubt anyone cares about me. The company definitely has more to worry about that some low tier god playing with one of their computers."

"I want revenge," Zack said as he cracked his knuckles and pointed towards the [West Forest]. He could see it in the window now. "I feel like a character from an anime that lost his first battle to that sound guy. I will win this time."

"Well, let's go," Haze somewhat wondered what [Joke Land] could want, but wanted what Helm could tell him more, "Helm, be careful. If you find anything terrifying, let me know and stop."

"It's just code. Nothing terrifying about it," Helm smiled as Rail put her hand on Haze's back as Waist grabbed onto his wrist. "Finish the last mission as quick as you can. Don't worry about me."

"Nice meeting you!" Waist smiled before Rail teleported out into the forest. It had now been littered with dozens of buildings. Thousands of roots were pointing towards the sky ominously as the towers rose nearly towards the clouds.

"So, we just have to find nine gods and destroy them," Zack said as he pulled out his blade. "I'm excited. It should be fun."
