Her words echoed in the room as even Lessely appeared to listen, she had taken a quick shower before she watched what was happening.
"To start with, we can rule out you being a Lessard vampire. Turning in a Lessard takes years, the process is slow but the actual turning ritual is about a week. I doubt one of them would simply change you at the drop of a hat, which is actually bad for you."
Those words caught Darien off guard as he raised an eyebrow.
"This is Lessard territory, if you are found without the proper documentation you can be captured and killed. Only the highest-ranking vampires can be around these areas without worries."
It took a few moments of thinking before Darien looked up at them both, sitting back on the chair with a groan escaping his lips. His vision looked off as he was thinking. Trying to think of a question.
While he was doing this Sharon felt sorrow and anger pressing to the surface, she knew that her friend was going to change, most vampires changed rapidly just after the switch. It was dubbed by vampires as losing one's mortality or humanity. Celebrated in shaking the weakness of one's body to become stronger. Though to humans, it was a dreaded prospect as friends and family turned into someone different.
"What can I do then, I have no idea about anything and I don't want to be screwed in something like this. I never asked this and I have no idea about the woman who had changed me."
Both women nodded as they looked at each other. Lessly now invested in the man, though mainly down to the fact that the addiction caused by the vampiric bite was influencing her mentally while Sharon had a duty as a friend to try and support her friend. Though in reality she was scared that he would turn into one of those terrible vampires.
"Well, I think we should test your magic. Let's head back to the beach first off. If you have magical powers then we can rule you out as a scab vampire."
The term Scab vampire confused Darien as they all stood up, walking out and into the street as he followed along and listened to Sharon explain the vampire Hierarchy.
"Scab vampires are the lowest intelligent vampires. Ghouls being ferals and at the bottom. It's legal to kill Ghouls as they will mindlessly attack anyone without fear or regret. They are just failed vampires."
"The strength of a vampire is measured on who changed you. If you are changed by a regular vampire you should become either a Lesser vampire or a scab vampire."
Darien would interrupt her friend with a question. "What is the difference between a scab vampire and a regular vampire?" He asked.
"Well, Scab vampires are vampires who can't cast magic and are also on the lowest pecking order. They are basically the landless knights of society. Worthless in the eyes of higher vampire society but still worth more than the standard humans. If you still had your light magic you would be on par with those vampires."
She continued explaining the structure.
Original Vampire
Pure Bloods
Ancient Vampires
Noble Vampire
Elder Vampire
Greater Vampire
Vampire
Lesser Vampire
Scab vampires.
Ghouls
The Original being the six known vampires at the head of each of the clans. All of them having gone missing and without trace for a while. Pure bloods being the rulers of each country or areas.
It went down, though normally an Elder Vampire would rule an area or city while a Noble vampire ruled several cities or districts and lastly a noble vampire ruled a part of the country and an ancient vampire ruled the entire country.
The Purebloods ruled over the entire clan now that the Original vampires had vanished, they had to rule over entire regions or continents in some cases which left them very busy.
Passing through the streets many people stared at the vampire walking with two women at his side. Many humans looking away and getting out of the path. It was rather quiet till they reached one of the checkpoints, a few vampires looking at the woman as one of the 'Brave' ones moved up to Sharon with hunger in his eyes.
"Hey, lets go. I'm hungry and you look absolutely tasty."
The guard was a simple Lesser vampire stuck at his post to look after the stupid Scabs. He was better then them with his ability to cast his magic. Though he asked in reality he could have simply picked her up and left. Though he was a Lessard and had to act somewhat noble in his pursuit.
"Oh, I'm sorry… please."
Sharon's words felt hollow as she saw the vampire as her own addiction was kicking her hard at the offer, she felt the need rising but her duty to her friend pulled her back to a need as she saw Darien walk behind the man, tapping his shoulder.
"Buzz off Scab, I'm busy so get back to work otherwise I'll have you skinned!"
His words were violent but effective in his mind as he slowly turned, his gaze shifting up to see the tall vampire, his mouth popping open as he felt oppressed by the gaze as he began to gape like a fish.
Darien felt his anger rising, a voice deep inside him beginning to rage out as he felt like a lion was trying to break free of a flimsy cage made of rotting wood. The gaze and words made him finally lose it as he had all this pent up energy.
His arm pulling back as his fist finally collided with the vampires face, the sound of explosive force echoing out as the vampire was fired off like a rocket, slamming into a wall with a crash as the building shook for a moment.
If this vampire was human he would be dead, though thanks to his strength he simply flopped over unconscious with a massive dent in his face as his nose had gotten broken. The scab vampires doing nothing in part due to the fact the man had been an asshole to many of them and the other part was the vampire seemed to be higher rank, no one wanted to speak in case they felt the wrath next. The vampire taking the two ladies before his words resounded in the silence.
"Let's go."
