Finally arriving at the station, his vision catching the two ticket booths as he moved up to the right one that seemed free. His vision looking down to the bored-looking human woman as she took a lazy tilt of her head, looking up at the man.
Though as her vision caught Darien she felt her entire body tense. She had been lazing about with a vampire direction watching her. What was a vampire even doing at this ticket booth, vampires had a separate entrance.
"H.. How can I help you, sir?"
She stuttered out as she felt like her entire life was simply going to implode at this point.
"One ticket, day pass."
His voice soft and filled with dominion though she thought she heard a hint of kindness. Her stunned expression made Darien raise an eyebrow as the woman quickly snapped out of it, clearly mistaken as she just began to stutter.
"Sir… Vampires do not need to pay, you just need to get on."
Darien simply nodded, turning and eventually heading onto the platform. Another woman moved over to her college as they stared at the vampires back.
"I thought I was going to die…"
The other one laughed as she slapped her back.
"He was hella handsome, though I bet he only takes the finest woman to be his thralls."
The girls both blushed as they stared at his back. Sadly this was the most common line of thought for most men and women nowadays. Servant and obedient.
As Darien eventually reached the platform, his vision staring at the tracks as eventually, the train pulled in, doors opening as he stepped into the train. Though he blinked as the door closed and the many people around him began to stare at him.
He could hear the heart rates of everyone increasing as they began to back away in fear. Eventually leaving his entire side of the train empty while packing themselves in like sardines in the other end of the train.
It was not long till his gaze simply looked to the other side as he noticed a few vampires watching him, humans looking at him with curious gazes.
The vampires began to laugh as they spoke, most humans unable to hear them due to the distance between the cars, though Darien could read lips as well as hear them.
"Come on dude, scaring the humans like that. How bored are you!"
They all began to laugh before going back to the original topics of conversations.
He simply turned to the humans who simply turned and looked away, trying to appear smaller to the vampire now in the train car.
The next twenty minutes felt like torture as he noticed many people simply stare as the doors opened, eventually having his entire section empty as people decided to leave and wait for the next train.
It was at this point he quickly stepped off the train and walked the rest of the way to Sharon's residence.
Sharon lived in the upper-middle-class residence for humans, thanks to her connection to the vampires.
These living areas being higher quality as they looked more like blocks of apartments instead of slums or run-down shanties.
Darien eventually reached the third floor of her apartment complex, heading to the last room as he noticed two names on the door.
'Sharon Kerish'
'Lessly Vermont'
He knew where Sharon lived but had never been before, she normally spent not much time inside her apartment.
"Coming!"
A voice came from inside, Darien confused as this was clearly not Sharon. Though he really had not planned for anyone else Sharon to be in.
The door opened to a rather strange sight, a woman in hardly any clothes. A loose-fitting shirt covering herself that seemed rather crumpled, booty shorts that hugged her waist rather well and tanned skin that seemed rather sun-kissed.
The woman's hair was wavy, red and long. She seemed to have a mischievous but confused look as she stared at the vampire. Though like Sharon she had visible bite marks along her neck.
"Well hello, I'm guessing you are Sharon's Vampire Sire?"
Sire was the technical term for a mother or father. The one who changed them would be referred to as a Sire. Though in human terms a Sire was someone who had taken them as a thrall as well.
"I'm not her Sire. I simply need to meet with her and discuss a few things. Is she not in?"
Those words made the redhead simply begin to smile, a massive grin appearing as she felt like she had just hit the jackpot. Her voice became even more smooth and a hint of aggression now coming in. She was not like the standard humans who feared vampires.
"She's out, she won't be back for a little. How about you come inside and we can wait for her together, Oh I'm Lessly."
Darien felt his breath catching at this strange situation, confused as he simply responded.
"I know."
This response caused Lessly to feel her heart beating rapidly. This man knew her, had he come to also meet her and maybe do more. She felt her breath catching as she felt like he was playing along.
"Oh, and how do you know me?"
Her voice filled with honey as she began to give a flirtatious smile, though it was wiped away when Darien simply pointed to the sign on the door, showing her name. Her frown growing as she realised the man had simply read her name from the sign.
"Oh, well. Then come inside." She said moving out of the way, letting the man come inside.
His features were rather defined as each step seemed like he could simply change the world with a gaze.
The apartment was rather small, though still three times the size of his. Having two separate rooms for bedrooms as well as the bathroom, a large kitchen and living area.
Darien took a seat before he felt the rather forceful woman on his lap, her smile growing as she looked at him.
"I know you may be hungry, coming all the way here… So how about you enjoy a light snack before she comes…"
Her voice was very soft as her lips came closer to his. Her whisper was enticing as she did.
"Just… One… Little…Bite."
