As they went on, Fang suddenly asked Jinyong to stop the car. She said It in a way that got him suspicious of her action.
What could have made her sound that way? like someone who had foreseen danger ahead of them and had wanted to stop it from happening.
"Stop!!!" She said loudly. As if the person she was talking to was at a far distance from her.
"Are we at your residence already?" Jinyong asked In a calm tone. Not minding the dramatic behavior Fang had displayed.
"Not really, but you've got to stop driving. I am exiting your car here, my house Is a once from here."
"Oh, I get what you're trying to stop from happening. You don't want me to know where you stay, I don't have any issue with that since your house Is walkable from here, you can go"
Jinyong was right about Fang not wanting him to know where she lived. That was exactly the reason why she had stopped him from driving. They were already about 2 kilometers close to her house and when Fang realized that, she quickly acted fast.
She hated people knowing her house, especially persons like He Jinyong she was just meeting for the very first time. The only person that knew her house and almost everything about her was her best Friend Zhang Min. And her Ex-boyfriend Li Wei.
Zhang Min and Fang had been friends since they were kids, they grew up together in Country C.
Li Wei had got to know her residence because of the day they had planned to take an outing, their Initial plan was to meet somewhere so they could move to their fun outlet together.
Li Wei had waited for her for more than he initially thought. He called her phone several but didn't go through. He then put up a call across to Fang's Friend Zhang Min, who had told him Fang's address.
He hurriedly drove to Fang's house and discovered she was not feeling too well and had switched off her phone on that account.
"You're right, I don't want you to know where I stay." She uttered with all sincerity.
"What are your reasons for that?" He asked.
"For Some personal reasons," Fang answered. Not putting into consideration how he would feel about her response.
"Is alright, I just hope you're really closed to your house, I don't want anything bad to happen to you."
"Nothing bad Is going to happen to me, thanks for the ride, I do really appreciate." She said thankfully and exited his car.
He Jinyong had not moved away from where he had been. He was trying to see her out of his view before he could turn his car and leave that spot.
Fang, on the other hand, knew Jinyong was still there and had wondered why he was still there. She was becoming uncomfortable, She was beginning to suspect he was trying to know where she could finally stop at.
She was, on the contrary, Jinyong was only there to be sure she was safe as she walked to her house. As soon as she was out of sight, he drove away.
Fang had deliberately walked past her house on the account that Jinyong could easily guess her house if she had not done that.
She stood somewhere stretching her neck to see if He Jinyong was still there. She could still see the spot where he had stopped, although not very well but if there was still a car parked there she would know.
She then walked back to her house knowing full well he had left.
On getting to her house, she found her door opened although she was not surprised because she knew her girlfriend had a spare key to her house.
"Min?" She called out loud, expecting Zhang Min to open the door from inside. When she didn't get any response, she then dialed Min's number.
Min was not picking, she was almost at the verge of anger due to the day's stress coupled with getting to her own house and standing at the doorpost when she was supposed to be inside trying to prepare dinner.
She dialed the number again, still no response. She heard the footsteps of someone walking towards the direction of the door, then she was a bit calm the person got the door opened. It was Zhang Min, her best friend.
"Only heaven knows why you didn't open when I first knocked at the door." She spoke as she walks inside her house.
"unch, I was fast asleep, your call woke me up." Wang Fang talked, as she yawns!
"Really, fast asleep? when you're supposed to be awake knowing fully well I was still yet to be here, I guess it was even my second call that woke u up."
"You called before? Fang asked with a voice that depicts her sleep was interrupted, she was not yet done sleeping.
She was this type that hated to be disturbed while she sleeps. Each time her sleep was interrupted, she always had this serious headache that only sleep could cure.
" Are you serious right now? asking me If I had called before now? I knew it, you were not only fast asleep you were dead asleep " Fang said mockingly.
"Why are you coming back this late? I've been awake waiting for you to come back before sleep came. I tried reaching you to know what's up but your number failed to connect."
"What else do you think would keep me outside till this time if not for the normal inability to get a taxi as quickly as possible. Fang uttered tiresomely.
She got up from the couch she was sitting and hurried to the bathroom to take a bath.
" I hope you prepared something for me to eat?" Fang asked while in the bathroom.
"I didn't, I was expecting you to have eaten at your workplace before coming home since you are used to getting home late," Min responded.
"You this girl, since when did I start eating at work? you don't know you ought to get dinner ready before I get back right!
Well, is not too late because you're still going to do that for me. I've got no strength for that as it is now being exhausted and famished!"
"You know that am your visitor and you should be the one doing that for me not the other way round, you didn't even ask me if 'I've eaten today, you only think about yourself"
"Who made you a visitor, did you even tell me you would be coming? you know I'm not like you if you had told me I would have prepared enough food in the morning before going to work." Fang said as she walks out of the bathroom to her bedroom where Min was seated.
" I need not tell you, get in the kitchen, and serve yourself the quantity of meal you could exhaust, I've eaten already."
At the hearing of this, Fang quickly dashed into the kitchen and did exactly what Min had asked her to do.
Min had already prepared dinner for the two of them before Fang got back from work, she knew fang would be very tired after the day's stress. She thought it wise to do the cooking to avoid Fang stressing herself further.
" You this girl, you will never change. you're so unpredictable. We've been friends since our childhood days and I still find it hard to predict you."
"Really, is good I'm unpredictable."
"Aren't you going to eat with me?" Fang asked her friend to join her as she eats.
" I've had mine already, eat to your satisfaction."
"So how did you manage to get home, taxi, or a lift from someone?"
"Please I'm eating, you know I don't like talking while I eat, it's not proper."
"Okay, fine when you're done eating wake me up."
"How come you didn't tell me you were coming the time you called?" Wang Fang asked her friend.
"Must I let you know? I thought it better to come without telling you, who knows maybe you would ask me not to come."
"Shu! I've never stopped you from coming to my house."
