Chapter 9 - This Vampire Learn Even More Abilities Because of This God!

"Yeah." Kami said, going into a physical appearance in front of me, it was an appearance that reminded me of those cliche God types shown and on TV.

I held my hand towards Kami and held my face. "Hold up, man, I already have a fairly good amount of control over my vampiristic abilities."

In Kami's physical form, he face palmed, "Kurosaki, the only thing you learned was your nails! What I'm going to teach you is: Speed, Strength, Healing, Flying, and others, stuff like that—"

"Hold up, Kami, you said 'Flying' correct?"

"Yeah." Kami said as he walked up to me and pointed to my legs, "Have you, like, ever since becoming a vampire, gotten a light feeling in your body?"

"...Nope." I said with a slight shrug, and then put my hands behind my head, "Hey, I'm going to be straight with you here, I hate my living conditions currently."

"Oh, you mean the Monster Brigade?"

"Yeah. They treat me like I'm some sort of bad dog! I mean, who wouldn't hate that place? You suddenly get kidnapped, told to work with them, and when you disobey, you get punched. It's Hell."

"Hell, you say? Boy, you don't even know Hell."

"Haha, funny, Kami, so funny." I said with a sarcastic tone.

"I know, I'm really funny, I've had many millennia's to work on it—seriously, Kurosaki, let's work on your abilities."

"Yes, sir." I said, putting my upper body in a bow position.

"Glad you're on board. The first thing you're going to learn is: Strength."

"Strength…?" I said as I gave a defeated sigh.

"It's actually really useful, Kurosaki. It's for your nails, and can be used across your body, heightening your senses, and making things possible that weren't before."

"Oh? I'm interested, now." I said as I got up from a slouched position to a straight, ready one.

"Good." Kami started, "First, focus."

"Focus?"

"Yes, focus long and hard on the insides of your body. If you concentrate to a certain degree, you'll be able to feel the blood coursing through your veins."

"Easier said than done…" I said as I took a deep breath.

"Just concentrate, Kurosaki, just, breath in and out slowly. Make sure to take deep breaths."

I did as he said, and after, I don't know, like, twenty minutes, I could finally feel it, my blood going up and down my body like a river flowing downstream.

I took one last deep breath and said, "I got it."

"Good. Now, try to get that blood to move towards your hands—more specifically, your nails."

I did as he said, I kept focusing on my blood, and where I needed to move it too. Soon enough, some blood slowly moved to both of my hands, causing my nails to grow four inches long, two inches wide, and looked as if it had a reddish tint to it—probably because of the blood being moved to it.

"Good!" Kami said, clapping with a smile across his face, "Now, I'll place a dummy here. Slash it with your nails."

Kami did as he said, he made a dummy appear. I did as I was told, as well, and slashed it with my nails (claws—whatever you want to call them) and it completely split in half!

"Wow! I'm overpowered!" I spouted as I gave a rock n' roll hand sign.

"Calm down, Kurosaki, that was a test dummy. Not powerful at all."

I got a little discouraged by that statement that Kami made. "Please tell me the next thing I need to learn…"

"Flight, or also known as Levitation."

"Yeah!!" I yelled with a fist pump, "Flight! I'm excited!"

"I can see."

"Yes, just yes. But, teach me, Mr. Kami, how do I use the 'Flight' ability?"

"It's more or less not gonna fly for you, though, it takes months of training before you can actually fully fly. So, I will be teaching you slight levitation."

I calmed down from my excitement, "Okay, less intriguing, but, let's do it!"

"Okay," Kami started. "In order for this to happen, you have to focus on loosening your body."

"Are you basically telling me to just calm down, or something?"

"No. You need to focus on your blood control—blood is the main component in vampiristic abilities."

"Hmmm," I hummed to myself, "do I have to do the same thing for my nails towards my whole body?"

"No, Kurosaki. You have to—how do I explain this? Um, here, concentrate on your blood, okay?"

"Okay." I said as I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and was trying to feel my blood, "Got it, what else do I do?"

"Good. Now, focus on the blood as you jump up into the air."

"Yes, sir." I said, jumping up into the air, but not landing back onto the ground. I opened my eyes to see that I was levitating about a foot off the ground. "...WOW!!"

"Weird, huh?" Kami said, sounding impressed, "Usually, it takes about a week's worth of hard training to do this kind of stuff; but you. You just did it within about fifteen minutes! I guess I was right to bring you back to life instead of some other person that had died."

"That's...flattering?" I said, confused whether to be relieved, hurt, or anything.

"I know, I try my best."

"That's sad…"

"How so, Kurosaki?"

"Never mind!" I yelled, trying to think of a way to change the topic, "Oh, yeah! Any other abilities you can teach me?"

"Um, yeah, actually. But, it looks like we're out of time."

"Good, good—wait, what?"

"Yeah? I can't keep you in here forever. Plus, I have other dead people I need to send to Heaven, or Hell. Talk later, 'kay, Kurosaki?"

"Yeah, fine. Cya, Kami."

I woke up in a bed to an unfamiliar ceiling. I was back to the Monster Brigade headquarters. But this time, I was thinking only one thing: escape from this hellhole.
