(Evan here: sorry if the chapter isn't to your liking!)
"Don't mind what I had just said, okay?"
Kurosaki said, wondering about something very important going on through his mind.
"Can you tell me why we can speak here?"
He finally asked.
"Oh, yeah. You must be confused about that. Since, we're still technically in the void."
Silvia said, getting herself into explanation mode.
"Yes, very."
Kurosaki said with a face of confusion.
"Well, this light we're standing on is kinda like an air bubble. Outside here, you can't speak. But, here, you can."
"Ah, but what ab—"
Kurosaki got cut off by his vision getting black. Almost like he was going to pass out once again.
"You must be out of time…"
"Out...of...time…?" Kurosaki said, barely able to contain his consciousness.
"Nothing. Talk to you again, Kurosaki."
—Kurosaki woke up with Zanya, and Nero next to him. He sat up, and yelled, "What am I doing here?!"
"What do you mean, Kurosaki?" Nero said to him, "After you got flown out into the void, Mr. Scientist rescued you. You had already passed out when he saw where your location was."
He once again gave a confused look. Was all of that...'was talking to Silvia just a figment of my imagination?!' he thought.
"You learn your lesson, Kurosaki?"
A voice came from behind him. A voice that he didn't like. It came from no one other than Mr. Scientist himself.
Kurosaki clicked his tongue as he said, "Yeah, totallyyy."
"That's good! Now, don't cause no more trouble."
After he said that, Kurosaki got up from his laid position, and walked away from the spot they were at. Nero followed me, but Zanya stayed behind.
Kurosaki was thinking about his interaction with Silvia, but certain words came into his head when he tried to remember what they said. He didn't know what the words meant, and probably didn't care.
"Kurosaki...what are you planning?" Nero asked him, tapping on his shoulder with concern.
"Planning? Oh, nothing. Probably my imagination, to be honest."
"Oh, imagination?" Nero said, giving a look of distrust.
"Yeah, man. Got a problem with the mind of the vampire named 'Kurosaki'?"
"Not particularly… It's just… You don't have the brightest brain in the world."
Kurosaki put his hand on his chest in acting pain. "You hurt me—you, my dear old Werewolf friend, have wounded me so much!"
Nero didn't seem phased by this, and even had the audacity to give him a thumbs up. A thumbs up!! Completely disrespectful!
Kurosaki walked away from Nero after he gave him his hideous ("hideous" being italic) thumbs up. He went down to the cafeteria looking area and picked up some food—for free, might be necessarily important to add.
It wasn't too good, but no bad, either. It tasted like school food. Kurosaki clearly had much better food, but could settle with that any day.
"So, you're Kurosaki?"
A male person said, moving his way closer to the confused vampire.
"Yeah. So?"
The guy who walked up to Kurosaki was startled by Kurosaki's reaction to him moving up to him suddenly.
"I've come to check you out!"
He confidently stated as he looked down upon Kurosaki eating his food.
"Yep."
Kurosaki said, not caring what the man was implying, or trying to imply.
The man got visibly irritated and grabbed Kurosaki by the collar. He held his fist up, but Kurosaki didn't even look at the man who had grabbed him. Only staring down at his food.
"Listen. The only thing you've accomplished once coming here has been getting in trouble, and getting your stomach beaten in. The boss really hates you."
The man said with a strange bit of anger brewing.
Kurosaki gave a smirk after the guy said this, and pushed the man off his collar.
"Oh...how that pains me so. I wish I could earn the respect of my pure, super strong master who has kidnapped me from my home, and into a place that is full of failed experiments."
Kurosaki said, knowing what he was doing, and hoped he would walk away from him.
"Tsk!"
"I struck a nerve. Yes!!"
Kurosaki said, knowing what was going to come next.
The man clenched his fist, and sent it flying at Kurosaki. He dodged it, but the man didn't stop throwing punches at him.
By the time the man got tired, Kurosaki had no marks on him. He was completely unscathed.
The man walked away from Kurosaki, and Kurosaki began to eat his food once again. Too bad it already started getting cold.
"You get any intel on how Hachi Kurosaki, the vampire, suddenly appeared on our radar a few days ago?"
Mr. Scientist said, talking to another man that had silver hair, blue eyes, and wore a pure black trench coat.
"Still no clue. There hadn't been any readings on mythical beings across the world. But...we suddenly find out there's a teenage high school vampire? It makes no sense."
Said the silver haired man, rubbing the hair on his chin with confusion.
"Yes, indeed. Are you okay with conducting background checks on Mr. Kurosaki for a while?"
Mr. Scientist said, being polite to this man who seemed to be his superior.
"I don't want to, but I will. Only because I want to know what the hell this bastard is."
The silver haired man said, giving an attitude.
"Kurosaki!"
The loud werewolf named Nero yelled in Kurosaki's direction. Who was still eating his now half-cold food.
Kurosaki let out a groan of displeasure and turned his body in the way of Nero.
"What is it now, can't you see I'm trying to eat my food here?!"
Kurosaki yelled, irritation coming out of his voice like there wasn't any time to say it softly.
Nero recoiled in response to Kurosaki's yelling. Not expecting this kind of reaction from his friend.
Hesitantly, Nero opened his mouth to tell Kurosaki what he was coming for in the first place.
"W-well, I came to give you a message."
"What kind of message is it? If you can't tell, I'm busy eating some food."
Kurosaki said, waving his arm around his plate of food, which was now cold.
Realizing this, Kurosaki grabbed his plate, and started moving it towards the trash.
"The message states: 'Kurosaki, you are given permission to have a free day tomorrow at 8:30 AM. You will be returned when the sun is setting.'"
The werewolf said, reading out the given message.
Kurosaki's jaw dropped in response to the message, and could only think one thing. 'Day off?'
