"The cursed spawn of lucifer has betrayed me."
Michael threw a ball of angelfire at the wall inside I smiled she is still alive, he really does care for her.
"Get ready Gabe we're leaving."
"Where too?"
"To bring that traitor back to heaven and finish what Dantalis was meant to do."
My heart sank
"Still you intend to kill her?"
He glared at me
"of course she may have disappeared somewhere that even the pool can not find her but Im certain Dantalis knows her whereabouts. Plus he must answer for his failure I will find her."
Sweeping past me he ordered
"Say your goodbye Gabe your coming with me, but just remember…"
He stepped closer
"you will help me in this or this goodbye will be your last."
Clenching my fist I left the room.
Heading to the holding cells I nodded to the guard on duty as I passed my heart beating only very rarely did Michael allow me to see her and every time broke my heart.
Her cell was lavish in its furnishings however a cage is still a cage. I approached silently watching as she sat at her easel painting her long blond hair flowing down her back. Her features unmoving in her concentration. At her back her red wings flared a habit she often did when worried.
"Sariel?"
Startled she turned
"Gabriel!"
She smiled approaching the trinium bars separating us once closer she frowned
"What has happened?"
"I can never hide anything from you my love."
I longed to feel the touch of her skin I had not felt it in 20 years to know she was here and to not be able to feel her was the was torture.
"She has turned my love."
Her hand went to her face as she gasped
"Gabe please be joking."
"I wish I was."
"you must save her."
"I cant if I do he will kill you too."
"forget about me, this is our daughter you must help her."
I ached to hold her in my arms
"I cant loose you, there is no way to save her Michael can not be persuaded, hes convinced she is the one to bring the downfall of heaven."
"there is hope."
Her eyes widened
"Dantalis has hidden her Even the pool can not find her."
"Dantalis? The cursed one why would he do that?"
I smiled
"She is his mate, perheaps he can save her where I can not."
She reached out as if to take my hand through the bars.
"Let us hope he does not fail."
Suddenly a white feather appeared before me, Michael was ready to go. I looked into her eyes I did not want to leave her. I turned slowly but she called me back
"Gabe promise me…"
"anything."
"promise me that if theres a way to save our daughter you must do it no matter the consequences."
"Sariel-"
"Promise me Gabe she is our daughter she is all that matters."
Reluctantly I nodded
"I promise."
I left her just as one tear escaped her eyes and my resolve almost shattered.
Michael waited in the court yard impatiently
"Come let us end this once and for all."
Taking to the air I followed as we and three others headed to earth.
