Ellery's POV
What the hell was he doing here? Here. Of all places.
I quickly left the concert hall and went into the lobby with Holly quickly trailing behind me.
"What was that?" Holly asked when she caught up to me. "What is happening?"
"Let's just say that my new boss turned out to be the jerk that bumped into me on the street a few days ago." I said as I tried to catch my breath .
"Oh, him. What would he be doing here?"
"I don't know! He was at my place eating dinner earlier too."
"Whoa, that's totally not creepy at all. Hey, are cheating on your boyfriend? Since when did the Elle I know know how to two time someone?" Said Holly sarcastically.
"Holly, this isn't funny! He's been torturing me at work all week, then all of a sudden, he came to my house ordering me to cook for him." I said hotly.
"Sounds like he likes you." Holly said smiling devilishly.
"As if! Next, you're gonna say that I'm going to become a billionaire." I said as opened the door leading out onto the parking lot.
"I'm telling you. He totally likes you!"
"Even if in the slimmest chance he does like me, it doesn't matter anyways because I already have a boyfriend."
"Yeah, an a**hole of one." Holly muttered "Elle, I have no clue what you see in him. You deserve so much better."
"He's really nice once you get to know him."
"You say that every time." Holly said as we came to a stop at my car. "If he breaks your heart, don't come to me crying."
"He won't, but thank you for caring so much about my wellbeing." I said rolling my eyes.
"Because that's what best friends do!" Holly said nudging my shoulder slightly.
"Did you come by yourself?" I asked.
"No, I came with Ashton but he left early because something came up. So you get to take me home!" Holly replied giggling happily.
"Get in the car." I said as I unlocked her door with the key since the buttons inside the car didn't work anymore. I walked over to the driver's side and unlocked the backseat door with the key and put my cello in.
"You call this thing a car?! It's more like a death box."
"Oh my gosh. You say that every time you get in this car." I said getting situated in my seat.
"It's not my fault that your 'car' is old. I mean come on woman, it's 25 years old! It's nearly as old as you. What if I die in here one day."
"One day, but not today." I said snickering. "Do you want me to drop you off at your house?"
"Can I sleep over at your place tonight? We could watch a movie too!"
"Yeah. Are your parents out of town again?"
"Mom is in Milan at some conference and dad is in California for a business meeting too." Said Holly sounding bored.
Holly's parents were often out of town for work or an event so sometimes Holly would come over to my place. She preferred to be around people rather than being stuck in an empty house.
"What about Junior and Hazel?"
"The au pair is taking care of Junior and Hazel went with mom."
"Should we pick him up and let him hang with us?"
"We don't have to. He's probably asleep already."
"That's too bad. I haven't seen him in awhile. I miss the little guy."
"What are you doing tomorrow?" Holly asked. "If you're not doing anything, we could go shopping!"
"I'm going on a date with Cole tomorrow."
"How fun."
"Oh give it up Holly." I said jokingly and laughing at her sarcasm.
You can never win with Holly.
