After I came out of the shrine I saw many of the rats had taken up my fallen leaves and had begun to take roots from the nearby RootTrees and make armor out of them... Before long countless rats were adorned in the odd leaf armor. I guess they had assumed that I was giving them a gift? Ah what ever. With this I guess I'll be able to see everything the rats do from there own perspectives... Cool... Are they still root trees? I mean while all these trees were once roots now they appear to be real trees. I continue on with these thoughts as I wobble over with my little bird body and place a... leaf? Wing? Ah what ever I place an arm on the tree...
Ringing... I turn my gaze to Alex but nothing... As I turn my head back to the tree and blink in confusion I saw a flash of words in the split second my eyes were closed... Wait...
I close my eyes and see it...

Huh... So I guess I'm like inspecting them...
I then wobble over to one of my leaves... and try the same.

Wait... My leaves will petrify? Why... Is it because they are a part of my body that I am no longer connected to? But then the RootTree's should all be dead... Also did the rats just make armor out of my leaves as a sign of worship? Hmm. I guess I should constantly shed a small number of leaves to allow my followers to grow... I don't know their use... But a Divine creature is a godlike entity correct? From what I know a god is defined by those who worship it. Does that mean I'd die if all my followers perished? Lucky me I decided not to kill all those rats... Well then... I guess I should explore the new home of mine for awhile. I am sick of wobbling let's try and practice flight some more... I mean a flying tree seems like a absurd thing but I'm just a leaf right now... It should be possible... The cavern has gotten quite wide the once massive Rat city is now just about a third of the cavern. I guess I did blow up... But what happened to all the dirt? Did I like vaporize it? That's insane... Is that possible? If so then how did these rats survive... How did anything survive... Also we aren't that deep underground the entrance isn't far from here... While there is a mountain directly above the cavern... Wouldn't that mean that we are near the edge of a tectonic plate? Wouldn't a explosion or digging risk finding magma? From my basic knowledge mountains and volcanoes are made by the collision of two tectonic plates causing the earth to rise up as they grind together or one overlaps the other. Or at least something like that... It's kinda vague. If that's the case then that was super dangerous... What if the entire cavern had filled with magma... I'd definitely have died... I'm still just a tree...
Anyways after awhile I'd wobbled my little bird legs over to a large field that I think the rats used to grow mushrooms in... Hmm I guess mushrooms were their only option as a crop before I came because light is needed for most plants to grow but as a fungus a mushroom can grow in darkness... Interesting... Well I hope that they can grow more interesting things now... Wait... Do they even grow things anymore? Would they even need it... They have a endless supply of fruit that grows in seconds and completely covers the inside of the mile long wall that surrounds there city... I... Might have over done it... I was just testing out my new abilities at the time... I didn't realize that I'd make such a insane thing... I wonder if these fruit have any special traits... I mean the rest of my body seems to have changed into some sort of divine thing... Are the fruit divine now... I can like inspect them now so should be possible to figure out... Ah who cares let's test out this flight thing... I spread my little leaf Wings and begin to sprint as best my stem legs could take me while flapping my wings. I managed to get a little air but not much then I fell down again... Hmm... Maybe I need more training...
I quickly transfer my vision back to my main body while just sitting there flapping my wings with the leaf bird... It's somewhat difficult to control my body so precisely seeing as they aren't even connected I guess needing to concentrate isn't exactly a big request... I mean I'm already doing the impossible... As I force my bird body to continue flapping it's wings I begin to start producing an army of LeafBirds one after another they split off flapping there wings as they fall to the ground. A few rats are still nearby but the large army had already left and gone home they seemed to be confused but didn't really react more then just starring. It gets harder and harder to control each little bird so their actions get even sloppier but I think I can do it... Training myself with thousands of birds at once... My leaves regrow almost immediately so as I struggle to keep all of the thousands of birds flapping I begin to work on growing a extra large leaf... A giant LeafBird is my goal... One of the rats scurried off towards it's city seemingly about to go tell their king... Maybe they will perceive this as a threat... What ever they understand that I am the one who bares the fruit that keeps them alive they probably won't attack freely. The other few rats that stayed behind just continue starring at me. I guess it would make sense to freak out a little if a tree you perceive as your god suddenly started dropping thousands of birds made of it's leaves... As I grow the leaf I leave it connected to my body it seems to be harder to manipulate individual traits of something after it's lost connection with my main body. As It grows I change the number of stems to two... Was difficult to walk with the first few birds had to break the one leg into two... Sound painful not really though but yeah the legs become stronger this way. I begin to bulk up the leaf and stems and change the ends of the steps into feet while they are still connected molding sharp talons out of some of the wood from my body and forcing bits of wood into it to make bones and a beak... I am going off of some general concepts of what bird skeletons would look like in my head... I try to make the bones as sturdy as possible while also making them hallow... Cause... Birds... I gotta remember it has to be able to fly... I then split up each piece of the leaf along the wings and regrow them trying to make some feathers it's not that easy... Anyways as each feather is made more rats seem to come. I guess maybe the king wasn't the one that guy went to tell... After some time a small white rat walks cautiously up to my body... Ooo a princess... Interesting... One two three four five six seven eight... Eh so many feathers... Wait... why am I counting one by one... I'm doing a hundred at a time... Eh what ever I'm weird... While I work many of the smaller birds become even harder to control but some are actually doing pretty well. Managed to hover for a few seconds with one of them. While another's wings falls off... Eh... I mean their whole bodies are only made up of my leaves it makes sense that they wouldn't be able to sustain to much stress. Almost done with the upgraded version. What shall I call him?
