As I stepped out. I see a trail of rat tracks... It's not weird to see some but this looks like the tracks of that army... I guess I know which way I'm headed. As I walk down the path I notice the downward incline... It's heading towards the entrance but down. As I walk I see many of my old roots along the roof and floor lighting the way I didn't realize I had roots down here. Hmm... I keep walking as the temperture seems to drop abnormally quickly I notice a loud sound of the rats screeching. It sounds like the king... I keep walking on and find the sound... After stepping out a opening I am before a cliff below me seems to be two armies clashing. Half the battle field covered in flame and the other covered in ice. The middle a giant pool of water. The army from before is fighting a pretty even battle with a rather large group of... Miniature polar bears? Weird... They are not small but they are about the size of the rats but stand on two legs and hold weapons unlike the rats who go to battle on all fours and use there mouths and all four legs as weapons. They seem pretty evenly matched. However the polar bears have strange water creatures by there side which seemingly aid in preventing the kings magic from hitting. While the armor they adorned themselves in is preventing the enemies weapons from striking the polar bears don't appear to be taking any damage as the water creatures form and defend against all attacks while also supporting the ice magic by forcing water vapor into the air and the polar bears freeze that and bombard the enemy with it. The rats while being close in number and strength are definitely losing this fight. It looks like it'll be a rather protracted battle though. While the water creatures don't aid that much they do allow the polar bears to do damage while taking none. The rats can take there attacks but eventually there armor will wear out along with them while the bears are barely moving. The king is trying to strike them but every time he uses his magic more vapor goes into the air and the rats take more damage.
I've gotten bored... And I think that this battle won't be going that well for those I am expected to protect I guess it's my job to aid them... Hmm... I flap my wings and jump into the middle of the battlefield where the water sits and use my light skill to blind the bears. The battlefield lights up with the appearance of a thousand rainbows. Just as I flew down my ravens flew in with smaller bodies that could move through the tunnels much faster, the moment they entered they bore there claws down upon a bear a piece. The water creatures couldn't stop the shear force of sharp claws and leaves as half the bears went down in a instant. The rest would come shortly after...
At least I thought, as the kings flame came from behind me... I forgot that I was jumping into the fray of a battle with fire... He was blinded too he doesn't know I'm here. Almost instinctively I try to block and as I do the whole flock of ravens dive bombs before me with there wings stretched out blocking all the flame from hitting my main body but very little of the ravens I pulled away remained... With this the rats are almost back to where they started just with superior numbers... I flap my wings and return to my perch watching the battle field. Clearly jumping into the battlefield would only cause me to lose more pieces of myself at this rate I should wait for them to come out of there daze and hope the rats win with there better numbers. I sit down and watch.
The rats and bears seem to come out of there daze and refocus in on the battle at about the same time. The rats seem to have a lot more energy but the bears look like they are weak... Was it because my divine light aids those who follow me? But it blinded them too... Hmm... Well what ever... The king sees the pile of leaves upon the ground and looks up and spots me. At the same time the bears also seem to follow his gaze and see me. The bears seem to be about as smart as the rats. The rat king screeched louder then I've ever heard so much so that I wince a little at the loud noise and my eyes meet with a massive water elemental the polar bears are fleeing. The kings flame flew by me just as the water elemental goes to strike me. It strikes the elemental but doesn't seem to do any damage. I wave my wing at the king and it seems he understand and immediately all the rats rush out of the cavern the way they had come. I pick my body up and jump up to fly just as the water giant lurches forward like a giant wave the moment all the fire that was once on the opposite side of the room has been put out. The water giant is a bit smaller but it doesn't seem to be damaged. Luckily I took off or that would have hit me. I might be just leaves and wood therefore not possible to drown and not something you can simply put out but that force could have ripped me apart. I don't see a physical part of it's body I can strike either. I quickly call forth every single raven I had perched in my tree while evading the water elemental attacks the elemental had to give. I slice the bark guards at the front of my wings through the water giant but no real change comes no matter what I do. At this point I'm just buying time. It rises up and is about to strike when a hail of wooden claws pierce it from every direction like a storm of scythes every inch of it is cut before it can reform and the ravens swallow up each drop one by one lucky me I built far to many ravens... I send a raven down the hall to the army to escort them back as the others chase after the remaining bears. I move my hawk back along the path I took moving it back to my main body. After that I move my vision to the ravens to see how many bears remain. Much like the rats it seems these bears have a cavern of there own while I chased them down and killed them all it would seem some of them made it back to their base as a barrier of ice guarded by another giant water creature was before me and my ravens it hadn't spoted them so I quickly move them backwards a bit and began to attack the walls of the cave leading up to the water elemental moving most my ravens back to my main body I sacrificed two collapsing the path to the bears cavern. I also left one behind on the ledge to watch. I'll need to prepare for anything and get a way to prevent that from happening again I almost lost my hawk. I move it back to my body and perch it upon the branch of the ravens that all lost there lives. I begin... Hawk 2.0 here I come.
