Chapter 18: Unbeatable Opponent

"The next floor…"

Everyone had a serious expression after someone utter the most dreadful topic they didn't want to bring up. But, sadly, they have to.

"Everyone here should be cleared about the danger we're facing right now. We don't have a healer and the next floor…"

"How about this, Ye Han, Velkner, and Zigz will hold Tristan. While the other will burst Azalea."

"Yeah, we should do that. Also, Misha provide a buff that will increase evasion, and Olivia, provide a support. You don't have to be a damager."

"I'll only use single target spell. I won't be of help anyway. Those two have a great magic resistance."

"Everyone, be careful."

They all ascended the stairs. Each of them, thinking of how they could bring out the best in them.

They would face Azalea and Tristan at the same time. The 7th floor would be the last floor but they couldn't be sure if there were more enemies.

Besides, since from the start, the information they had about the tower was tossed outside the window.

The only information they could use was the class of each boss didn't change. Azalea as a priest and Tristan as Paladin.

Both were a healing type boss. Fortunately, Paladin was a branch of warrior which prioritize strength or vitality over intelligence.

Azalea, as a priestess, only have a healing spell. Azalea's soul was divided into two different entity. The main body and the shadow. The shadow was a priest while the main body was a mage.

They could only hope to burst Azalea especially with her big mana pool and mana regeneration.

She was an INT type priest. Burst heal but lower health. While Tristan was a balance between strength and vitality.

They arrived at the sixth floor and saw a door. It reached the ceiling. If the tower was operating normally, the tower would definitely give a feeling of sacredness.

It was the floor where the priestess do her things. They arrived at the door and opened it.

They saw a hall and the torch lit one by one until it arrived at a altar. There, they saw the shadow of Azalea, facing the altar. Tristan was also near the altar looking at it like he was mesmerized.

"The guests arrived." Tristan faced them and drew his sword and buckled his shield. "May the God of Light shone upon us."

A ceremony that every Paladin and light element user do. Azalea didn't move let them face Tristan.

[Tristan, the Keeper of Wish

MP: 900,000/900,000

Description: Tristan did his duty until the end. Whoever, bring malicious idea towards the Tower of Wish should be eliminated.]

"Everyone, to the position."

They all spread out. Liam and Leonel did a pincer attack towards Tristan.

Tristan swung his shield towards Leonel and his sword parried Liam's. With an opening, Rain nocked an arrow and shoot Azalea. Zigz also was a range fighter. He also used his skill 'Deck of Cards' to deal explosive damage to the vulnerable priestess.

Xavier attacked at the front while Ye Han at the back. This combo should have been perfect but Tristan suddenly sped up. He pushed Liam and Leonel to the side and leaped to the air.

This should have been impossible especially with Tristan's heavy armor. But, to their horror, Tristan leaped into the air easily. He swung his shield and threw it towards the arrows and cards.

The shield emitted a yellowish barrier when it arrived near Azalea.

No arrow or card arrived at Azalea. She was undisturbed and do her ceremony. They collected themselves and attacked the airborne Tristan.

Rain charged his bow, while Ye Han used the a ninjutsu 'Petal Barrage' to knock Tristan up. It was a knock up AOE skill with overtime damage.

Ye Han did an amazing job. They saw that Tristan was still airborne and released their skills.

Olivia used a single skill 'Icicle'. Rain used 'Fatal Shot' with 'Concentration'. Liam used 'Hundred Sword Cut'.

Leonel leaped up and used a knock up skill. The combo was perfect. But, it only did minimal damage because of level gap and Tristan's massive defense.

Tristan was unfazed with the storm of skills that hit him. Contrary to their expectation, it seemed Tristan knew what they would do.

Tristan's feet touched the ground. He extended his hand towards his shield. Like an invisible force, it shot out and arrived at his stretched hand. He made a stance and released his domain, trapping everyone inside it.

Now, they would truly face the true horror of this Tower. Tristan shot out and attacked Misha. Before she could escape, she was slashed and flew out of the domain.

Everyone was shocked and stayed vigilant.

"You should have known that you can't defeat me. Why are you still fighting?"

Everyone gripped their weapon but didn't move. Yes, how strong was their opponent that made them feel an oppressive aura giving them a dangerous feeling.

"This is a reality. You are all weak. Even if you band together, no one would leave a wound on me. Surrender, and leave this tower."

Everyone sucked a breath. The dungeon was truly different compared to other difficulties. It felt like they entered a different dimension.

"I recommend not to be a fool and risk your life trying to fight me."

"Then, why are you fighting us?"

"Because you wanted to enter the forbidden floor."

"We needed to find the truth."

"The truth would never leave this tower."

"Why?"

"Because… urk." Tristan went on to his knees and let go of his sword and shield. "Run!"

They didn't know why but the domain of Tristan flickered for a moment before it gone.

Velkner and picked up her sister. He went downstairs. He didn't know but he felt that his life was truly in danger. It was only a game but… he felt it.

Liam, Xavier, Rain, Zigz, and Leonel also moved. Leonel picked up Olivia and ran.

Ye Han only looked at the kneeling Tristan and unmoving Azalea before, he too, fled.

While at an unknown place, 7 people were surrounding a circular table sitting on a chair watching the events that took place on the monitor.

"What do you think?" a man in his suit asked the people with him.

"They're not ready." a woman said with long white hair said.

"Yes, they're too weak." a youth uttered disappointed with the people showed on the monitor.

"Well, you're also weak before." a handsome man spoke and looked at everyone near him. "We should take it one step at a time. Remember, this is only a trial."

Everyone nodded their approval on what the pale turquoise haired man said.

"We should train them from the start."

"We still have a lot of time. We still have 5 years. So, we should double our effort."

"Why does Rain acting like a weakling?" the youth asked without malice in his voice.

"I told him to only move when needed. Remember, we're only doing this for them to be ready."

"Yes, I forgot. Anyway, they should be ready before it was too late."

"Don't worry. Liam is almost there. How about on your side, Elina?"

"Velkner was great but I'm not the one who should train him. Misha was an exception because her style and mine, were quite identical."

"How about you, Nifa?"

"Olivia's good at handling the timing but she lacks the motivation." the hazel brown hair woman said. She wasn't wearing her favorite wizard hat.

"Leonel was also good. How about Xavier?"

"He had no one to guide him and he didn't need one. He will get there on his own. Rather, a find Zigz interesting." The youth said expressing his opinion.

"We'll prepare the necessary things and level up their training. The league is approaching, we'll get busy." a long haired blonde man said and rose up from his seat. "Dismissed."

Like a smoke, everyone vanished into thin air except the youth still looking at the monitor. "I'm looking forward to a new companion."
