Chapter 23: Dorian
When Liam attacked the boar he knew that he'll deal great damage but, he only dealt 1 damage after the boar reached 30%.
Rain saw Liam's dazed expression. It's normal! Every boss' like that!"
Liam snapped out of his daze and looked at Rain thankfully. He might engage bosses before but he never dealt the final blow when it was near 30% or he didn't expect to land large amount of damage. But, when he unleashed his skill, the boar had only 31% of life, while his skill dealt burst damage!
He was grateful that Rain was with him or else he might die with his stupid antics. The boar finally finished his transformation. The boar wasn't on heroic mode that's why it has a special protection that prevented the players from abusing it.
The boar's skin was like a spike and the eyes were red. There was also a smoke coming out from the boar's nose. He looked like an enrage bull that only knew how to see the red cloth. Well, at least it was supposed to be.
The boar snorted loudly and tackled Liam. Liam also activated his skill Flowing River. It increased his evasion and perception. It might be a low level for now and consume a lot of mana but he needed to level it up through battles.
Liam dodged the first attack. He felt his hair stood up because of the unimaginable force within that tackle. If it hit him, he might received at least 55% of his life. Liam retreated 10 meters before the boar changed its course. The might of the force within the tackle could send a clothed player for dozens of meters if it successfully landed.
Rain attacked the boar while staying vigilant for those with bad intention. This made the damage decrease but there's nothing they could do. They were only two and they had to divide their attention to the impending danger and the danger they were currently facing.
Contrary to the expectation of the 10 players, Rain and Liam were doing good. They looked like they could still spare some time for rest. The boss stared at them warily for awhile before making his decision.
"Let's kill this bitches!
"Yes!"
Rain perceived an arrow and a spell coming from his back. He dived to the side and rolled to widen the gap between him and the ambush.
"Tsk. Nice dodge, but you'll die miserably! Attack!"
Liam's brows were creased because of the arrival of the players. They were really planning to ambush them and kill steal their boss. Liam's contempt from these behaviors reached to the highest level. If they wanted to fight. He'll give them a fight! A fight they'll never forget.
Liam didn't spare them any attention and continued dealing damage. He's sure that Rain could hold on for at least 5 minutes without his help.
He made up his mind and looked at his ring. Dorian's Ring. A ring that could summon Dorian for a minute. He never expected that he'll use it. He looked at the incoming boar and dodged it.
He deactivated his skill and summoned Dorian. The ring lit up and the light moved into an open space. It formed a human form and summoned Dorian.
[Dorian the Guardian]
Level. 20
HP: 5,000/5,000
MP: 1,000/1,000
Dorian was equipped with golden armor all around his body with his golden sword and shield. Dorian knelt facing Liam "What can I do for you, milord?"
Liam looked at Dorian sheepishly but gained his composure. "Let's kill this boar."
"Your wish is my command, milord."
Dorian stood up and unsheathed his sword. "I'll open a path for my lord!"
The boar and Dorian faced each other. Liam only had a minute so he didn't have a choice but to attack the boar and let Rain entertain their guests.
When Dorian was summoned the ten players were surprised but the greed in their eyes also intensified.
"Hahahahaha! A summon knight and a world announcement. How lucky!"
Rain looked at them disdainfully. "Mere insects but blabbering like a giant."
"What did you say?!" the fat thief said. He was a thief yet he didn't use stealth.
"I said a bunch of weakling knew how to blabber nonsense."
"You-"
"Stop! Let them talk. This will be their graveyard! Hahahaha! Kill them!"
They first attacked Rain. Rain, with his limited stats, could only dodge some damage that may land on his vitals. He couldn't let them land a critical hit. He dodge and attack while keeping an eye to the on going fight within Liam and the boar.
He was also surprised when Dorian was summoned but it was only for awhile. He composed himself and could only buy time for Liam
Liam and Dorian's damage was enough for the boar to cry. Dorian tanked the damage while Liam dealt huge amount of damage. The boar intensified its attack but unfortunately, it was all futile. Dorian could use Lesser Heal while having a great defense.
Dorian was a guardian knight that could learn basic healing and protection spell. It was a branch of warrior with the ability to heal and protect. This made the 1 minute worth it for Liam.
The boar finally squeaked its final cry and died. Liam also saw Dorian fading. "It was a pleasure to serve you."
Dorian vanished and the light came back from the ring. This light might be Dorian's soul. He was imprisoned on the Tower yet wanted to repay Liam.
[Congratulations to: Liam and Rain for killing a wild boss: Boaris from Misty Forest. May your glory spread throughout the continent!]
Liam didn't pay any attention to the announcement, so did their enemy. They abandoned to attack Liam because of Dorian. Liam saw that Rain wasn't fairing well. He was almost dying and only relied on his great control and potion.
Liam dashed towards the mage. Of course, the boss saw Liam's plan and moved his two underlings to stop Liam.
The two underlings were also warriors. These party of ten was composed of 6 warriors, 1 thief, 1 ranger, 1 mage, 1 priest. A typical line up of offensive group. Liam didn't spare any effort to engage the warriors and jumped at them by using their shoulders.
Liam only had worn out clothes so he was light. But, he didn't depend on his defense but with his agility. Liam dodge the incoming fireball by rolling to the side and shoot out from the ground.
The moves that Liam did could make everyone jaws slacked. Every step he made was a combination of planned pattern that made everything seemed seamless and perfect.
Liam pushed himself towards the mage and attacked him without mercy. The mage was shocked combined with his slow movement he couldn't dodge the incoming attack.
Liam attacked twice and dealt an imaginable damage.

It wasn't a critical damage but a normal attack. But, if Liam checked his notification he would see that he learnt a new skill!
The mage perished after being hit twice. The priest shouted from horror and retreated towards their boss.
"You-" before the warrior could react Liam shot towards the two warriors.
With Liam's concentration he didn't give any of them to react. The fear and shock from Liam's moves were etched on their very bones. This made them fumbled with their moves and made it easy for Liam.
Liam finished the two unceremoniously. Liam finally glanced at Rain and saw that he also killed one of his attackers.
Liam breathe a sigh of relief. He didn't know that he was really concerned. Rain saw the exchange from Liam and their enemy. He smirked and retreated towards Liam, easily.
"Do you still want to fight us?" Liam looked at each of them menacingly.
The boss spat at the ground and looked at them. "Did you think that your threat would be effective? Brothers, kill them!"
