Chapter 19: Azalea and Tristan
Everyone descended the stairs. Velkner laid his sister down and panted.
"This game is really…"
"No shit! I thought it was real. Almost pissed my pants."
"What if it was?"
Everyone looked at Rain like his joke wasn't funny. Liam studied Rain and thought 'What if it really was? Well, that's funny for sure.'
A sigh escaped on Leonel. "Let's collect ourselves. Don't think anything else. Remember, every situation when we started. Is there something fishy about it?"
"Now that you've said that… I think there was."
"Remember the quest that Dorian gave? It said to free his soul. What if his soul was…"
"Nah, it can't be. That's like making a game that no one would clear."
"Then, how about the Wish Potion?"
"What about it?"
"It says here 'Use to gain a small wish inside the Tower of Wish'. What if we use it to make Tristan weak?"
"Possible but, I thought we have to use it on the altar?"
"Remember that Tristan only blocked the arrow and cards. What if we didn't attack the Priestess and only wish?"
Everyone had a serious expression on their face. They could only try. Each one of them were included at 1% of talented players inside the game.
They're almost at the top yet a problem would make them stop and give up? Think again. They fear nothing but to be disappointed in themselves because they gave up.
They planned for almost 20 minutes. Misha was also included because she only fainted. It was a hidden function when you dealt 90% damage.
With one slash Misha almost died. If she didn't evade and let it land on her vitals then she might actually die.
They reviewed their plan and tactics. It only came up with a plan with 10% assurance to run.
They only have one chance if this failed again. They all wore a serious and solemn expression on their faces.
They ascended the stairs and like before, Tristan was standing near the altar vacantly staring at the priestess. But…
"You came back again, you're seeking death."
Unlike a reset that they expected, it felt like it was a continuation of a battle they retreated once.
"Shit!" Velkner cursed and readied himself to make a move.
Tristan walked leisurely towards them. When he was near them, everyone made their move.
Xavier, Liam, Leonel and Velkner engage into melee battle against Tristan. They never gave him a chance to retaliate against them.
Rain, Zigz, and Olivia also gave a cover so they could keep Tristan busy.
Ye Han dashed on the altar. Before Tristan could react he arrived on the altar near the priestess. The plan was to use the wish potion without attacking the priestess to be safe.
[Do you want to use the Wish Potion?]
Ye Han exclaimed a "YES!" and bright lights surrounded him.
[What is your Wish?]
"Please weaken Tristan and the Priestess!"
A white light descended both the priestess and Tristan. When they checked Tristan's status, it lowered his health by 400,000!
Everyone had identical looks on their face. The plan succeeded! 'Try doing it again!" someone shouted at Ye Han and he used the potion again.
He used the 9 potion they got from Wilfred but they still had a potion each.
Tristan groaned and knelt on the ground.
"Well done. Now, I could finally rest in peace. I've done my job." Tristan finally fell and his whole body disintegrated like an ash blew up by the wind.
Everyone had a solemn looked unlike their achievement. They felt like they were a villain unlike a hero. They killed someone who only did his duty but they…
The priestess slowly stood up. She looked at everyone and made a vow.
"Heroes of the future, I must congratulate you for coming this far without succumbing to greed. May the God of Light shone upon us his blessings."
A smile was on the priestess lips. She looked back at the altar and made a final bow. She slowly disintegrated like Tristan. But, they could feel that the priestess was happy.
They only stood and watch everything that was happening. They have their own opinions but there was one identical conclusion that they arrived.
'The game felt real.' Yes, they felt that the game was showing them a true events that happened before and they were only experiencing it through a flashback.
Ye Han saw items where the priestess was once. He inhaled another breath and also picked up Tristan's drops.
He looked at everyone and gestured for them to gather. "Look at this items."

Everyone forgot to breath when they saw the items, especially the wish. They may used their 9 small wish potion but they gained an even better potion which was also a Legendary consumable item.
They never heard having a 'Legendary' attached on a consumables. Unfortunately, they didn't know how lucky they were. If they successfully landed a blow in Azalea they might not gain even a small wish potion.
"We should give the sword and shield to Xavier or Leonel."
"I agree. Just give us remuneration."
"Let's give it to Xavier. I won't need it for long." Leonel conceded and they decided to give it to Xavier.
Xavier gave them 3 silver each. 300 copper coins. It wasn't enough but they considered Xavier's prowess since the start of the dungeon.
Also, everyone wasn't that petty to argue something they shouldn't have. Unfortunately, Dorian's item drops were on Black Hope.
They also confirmed that the party was dissolve when Black Hope suddenly disappeared. Fortunately, the game wasn't petty enough to kick them on the dungeon.
The experience they gained was based on their contributions not on last hit so they were thankful. If the game wasn't fair then they might cry a river because they might stab each other's back.
Each one received a wish. They gave the ceremonial robe to Misha for her buffs. It made the greatest contribution because they succeeded on making Tristan busy.
Also, the ring went to Olivia and Rain after rolling. They decided to let the fate decide. Yes, they wanted the ring but they all would get a wish so it was only a bonus item for them.
They stepped on the altar one by one. They used their wish and gained their item. It wasn't showed what they gained. It was sealed on a box like a Christmas present but it would only be opened once they stepped out of the Tower.
They concluded that the Tower wasn't done yet because there was no announcement.
They also used their small wish. Liam felt a stinging pain on his head. Information about the 2 divine stone was loaded inside his head.
He wished to clear one of his quests, luckily, the most difficult and no clue about the quest, was chosen.
After the group finished their wishes, the altar shook and produced stairs made of lights.
Everyone looked at each other and confirmed that this might be an additional boss. They all ascended the stairs.
On the stairs connecting the fifth and sixth floor, unknowingly, a shadow was observing the 9 people…
