"HAHAHA!"
Syra on the other hand could not help but burst into hearty laughter when she heard Naomi's comment. Indeed, she must have to admit it, she made his simple act of sending her a dinner way too emotional.
But who could blame her??? No one had made an effort for her before, that was why she could easily feel touched by a simple act of kindness of others towards her.
"Yeah, how silly of me."
She agreed as she wiped her tears of joy. Then she accepted the tray that Naomi had been balancing in his two little paws.
"I must have made you feel uncomfortable. By the way, thank you for this. Would you mind joining me inside?"
Syra offered and she was surprised when the other party agreed readily. From how it looked, it seemed that Naomi was only waiting for her to invite him inside.
"Sure"
The cat said and without waiting for Syra's response, he already proceeded walking inside the room.
"Well, I honestly don't mind the dark as I have good night vision, but I don't think that it is the same case for you. So I wonder, why your room is so dark???"
Naomi asked in confusion as soon as he realized the situation inside Syra's room.
"Err... It is not exactly like I wanted it to be this way. However, I don't have light in the first place. I found candles but I can't see anything to light them up. In fact, I was actually in the middle of finding a flashlight when you arrived."
"A flashlight????"
Naomi asked back in confusion when he heard Syra's answer.
"Are you serious? Why do you need one?"
He added afterward.
"Obviously, for a source of light."
When the cat heard Syra's reply, it only sighed in exasperation.
"Right, you must not have an idea as no one told you yet."
Naomi said but rather than talking directly to Syra, it seemed that he was actually saying that more to himself. Then without giving Syra an explanation as to why he said that, he suddenly turned into the empty space and placed his paws at his what to pass off as his waist.
The cat even cleared his throat as though he was preparing to speak with someone hidden in the dark.
After a short while, he said out loud,
"Alexa, turn on the light!"
As soon as Naomi issued the voice command, the multiple lights that were actually installed inside the room started to turn on one after another.
Meanwhile, Syra was surprised by this sudden realization as she did not expect her room to be equipped with a voice-activated lighting system.
She made an audible gasped of amazement when she started to see the entirety of her room.
"This was truly a state of the art room."
She muttered under her breath as she looked around her room, but what left her even more shocked was the sheer size of the room itself!
It was even bigger than the combined size of her house's living room and her actual room before!
Meanwhile, seeing her reaction, Naomi could not help but ask her.
"Is this your first time being in a room like this???"
"Hmmm..."
Syra replied honestly while nodding her head. The tray of a piping hot meal, still in her hand.
"I have only seen this on the internet before. I never imagined I would get a chance to live in a place like this in this lifetime. So warlocks can also be this techy. I thought given their gift, they would prefer doing things on their own."
She added afterward. There was an obvious edge of joy in Syra's voice when she said that and that did not escape Naomi's notice.
"That is an unnecessary waste of energy. And believe me when I said that Master Clyde hates using his magic over trivial things. By the way, I am glad you like the place. I personally suggested all of it to Master. Go on, eat up before it gets cold."
Naomi's ushered as he walked towards the bed and jumped on it. He curled up at its center and lie down in a cozy position.
Syra, on the other hand, followed Naomi's to the bed and sat down beside him. Then she placed the tray at the small table that was placed next to the bed.
