Syra and Naomi were busy cuddling with one another. There was still some work left for them to do but they were almost done.
They were just having a good rest when all of a sudden, they heard an explosion coming from the kitchen.
'BOOM!'
Syra and Naomi found themselves staring at one another after they heard the sound and they saw the same shocked and perplexed expression reflecting in each of their own faces.
"I wonder what could possibly the cause of that explosion?"
Naomi thought out loud as they hurriedly made their way to the kitchen to come and check for the source of the explosion.
When they arrived, they saw Clyde standing in front of the kitchen top. He had his back on them that was why he had no idea that they were already there.
His hair and clothes were all messed up and he was covered with black dirt all over his body. Likewise, smoke also rose atop his head and there was even a small fire that sat on his shoulder and he just casually swatted it to put it out.
"What is this commotion about Master Clyde? What are you doing in the kitchen?"
Naomi asked in confusion as soon as they arrived and saw the situation. Clyde, on the other hand almost jumped on his feet when he suddenly heard Naomi's voice as he was caught off guard by their sudden appearance
He had no idea when did they arrived but despite how awkward he felt inside, Clyde did not allow that to show on his face nor actions, so tried to act as casual as he could as soon as he turned to face them.
"I was in the middle of doing something when the accident happened."
He replied simply then he put both of his hands behind him in his attempt to make it seemed that he was nonchalant.
However, despite his effort to put on some air, Syra still found the entire fiasco as a complete ice breaker. Especially so whenever she saw Clyde's helpless yet handsome face in such a sorry state.
The other party tried her best to fight back her laughter when she saw Clyde's unkempt appearance but she simply could not contain it.
She tried to look away and turn her back on them as she pretended to look around the kitchen, yet her shoulders could not help but tremble nonstop and that was what betrayed her purpose.
"Do you find anything funny, Miss Syra Wright? You seemed quite entertained on your own. Would you mind sharing it with us?"
Out of the blue, Syra heard Clyde speaking directly to her. The look that he gave Syra that time was intimidating which made the other party gulped down subconsciously.
"Nothing."
She replied right away as she hurriedly bit her lips to wipe the smile pasted in it, then she sported a blank expression afterward.
"Master, are you trying to play Chef?"
Due to the intense staring that has been going on between the two, neither of them noticed that the cat already approached Clyde's location to check what was his master up to.
That was when Naomi noticed a burnt casserole beside Clyde and judging from its condition, it was highly likely the source of the previous explosion.
"Yes."
Clyde replied bashfully when he realized that he had been busted by his cat. But when he remembered that someone else was present in the scene other than the two of them, he regained his upright disposition.
He straightened his back and boldly put the blame on Syra.
"This is all your fault."
