It was the second time in his life that he had stolen. He laughed happily, not even realizing the stuffiness of the room he lived in at that moment. He never regretted what he had done. He would do it again if he had the chance.

While he was filling all the pills back into the bag in his hand, he left only one and stored the rest in his ring. Ren was bursting with excitement. For a while, his body could not calm down from happiness and the intensity of his emotions. But finally, having already corrected his position, he was able to breathe.

Instead of taking the pill for the first few minutes, he thought of going to level 3 on his own, confident that he could do without it. After examining his dantian a little, he realized that he still needed time. Then he couldn't stand it and popped the pill into his mouth.

Although he didn't care much before, the sour taste of these energy pills was actually more than disgusting. To say it just tasted bad would be an understatement. While he was struggling not to vomit, he let the pill that had come down from his throat to dissolve in his stomach with meditation. The first minute was very calm…but things changed the moment Ren started to get serious. The strange thing happened again in his stomach.

Even though Ren didn't want to admit it, deep down he knew that this awkwardness was useful, so he wanted it to happen again!

The pill in his stomach instantly disintegrated and dissolved completely in a matter of seconds. All the energy contained within began to spin, both brutally and with a control that Ren couldn't understand.

Ren was beginning to call it "whirlpool."

Huuuh (sigh deeply)

Since he didn't even need energy work (meditation) anymore, Ren just sat there waiting for the energy to enter his dantian. Although the same thing had happened a week ago, this time the level he was going to pass was the third level.

He was finally reaching the level where he had to learn the eight techniques of the Xarnin Clan. In fact, he could learn these techniques at any time until he became a level 6 mage. But he would follow Nuren's advice. At low levels, he would learn and practice the magic of the Xarnin Clan.

In fact, he wanted to rise to higher levels as a mage directly. Using these pills, he could reach an unbelievably high level. But he had promised Nuren.

Also, even if he was a tenth level mage or even rose to the higher level and became an Elemental Master, he wouldn't be strong enough to heal his own body. What chance did Ren have on his own when even Nuren couldn't find a solution to his body?

For a while, forgetting his dantian and contemplating, Ren did not give himself enough to the event that other people would envy. Normally an energy pill is used by a second-level mage in about a month.

For Ren.... in 1 minute.

Spasms that were beyond his control began to form in his dantian.

Even though half of the energy he had drawn from the pill had already gone, he still hadn't achieved his dantian typical growth. When 70% of the energy coming out of the pill entered the dantian, he felt a great roar from his stomach, as if there was a loud noise. The sound, as if a small animal was screaming, came from the center of his dantian. But it must not have been enough because the remaining 30% of the pill entered the roaring dantian.

And finally, as the voice faded, Dantian began to develop.

First, the dantian, the size of the index fingernail, swelled a little. Before the swelling-growth was over, the outer part cracked. Ren had previously wondered what to expect and had read it. This cracking was also a natural part of the process.

When Dantian's growth ceased, a small but powerful vibration increased the speed of the cracking. Soon after, the small shell outside Dantian completely shattered and disintegrated. When his body destroyed the shell fragments made of pure energy, what was left was a dantian of the same small size as before. But this dantian was not a hard piece of meat, but a stone.

The reason why it is usually more difficult to pass from level 2 to level 3 is that dantian changes both in form and material.

Ren put his hand on his stomach. He examined his body.

It wasn't enough to grow this much using all the energy of a single pill. After all, he was already at the second level, showing 90% improvement, with very little development left. And it took an entire energy pill to get to the third level. Moreover, if this was just to move from 2 to 3, he didn't know how to find the energy needed at 8th or 9th levels.

Maybe the pills in his hand were like a cheat code for now. But even these pills wouldn't do much good as his level increased.

As Dantian evolves, he obviously needs more energy. And Ren didn't know anything about magic yet, how it progressed, its general rules, or briefly how magic was developed. Ren simply didn't know anything.

Nuren had told him how things work on other planets. He also narrated it in a funny and sweet way. They were fun times. But when it comes to describing the magic in this world… neither of them knew. Ren still remembered the silly smile on Nuren's face.

He weighed the speed and duration of the new energy meditation for a while before breaking his position. It looked like Ren could now meditate for 50 minutes non-stop.

He didn't have the patience to measure exactly, but maybe even an hour. And his body was able to carry much more energy than before, and he could also store the dantian.

Clenching his teeth a little more, he calculated that he could continue the breathing technique for 60 minutes if he forced it. His body was no longer shaking or coughing like before. But the safest and most comfortable was 50 minutes.

He checked the elemental pills he hid in his ring, as he used every other item. He was really excited, even though he was just looking to reassure himself.

139-1: 138 Energy pills remaining!

While waiting for the evening hours to come, he only read his book on meridians and worked on the things he wanted to go through. He now knew the functions of the prime meridians, the element types, and the locations of some major channels.

But since he had no chance of making a mistake, he left the house when he was sure that what he knew was correct. With the great luck of not seeing anyone around, he moved further south instead of the square side. He had to walk for about 10 minutes until he entered the forest part of the mountain that came after the houses.

When he finally entered the forest where there were no houses, he felt a great relief. Having spent most of the last year on a hillside looking at the sea, it was not comfortable to be stuck in closed places. Even though he didn't want to encounter animals in this woodland, he couldn't stay in his tiny house either.

He had read in the school's rule book that while there weren't many animals in this forest, there were wild squirrels, chickens, dogs, and wolves in the other hills where the woods met.

In fact, if they advanced towards other mountains, there could be wild predators and animals that power their bodies with energy, just like humans.

Ren had known from a young age that these advanced ones were commonly referred to as "monsters". Although they are predators, they are more intelligent and rational than normal animals. Because Ren just wanted to spend time in the woods, he put it out of his mind to head for another mountain.

As he wandered a little, he went to an empty clearing that comfortably took in the rising moonlight. When he decided he had enough open space, he made a few final checks from the book in his hand.

He wanted to learn the easiest movement technique in the book first.

He sat on the floor for a while, breathing in and out until the channels in his feet felt comfortable enough. When he sent enough energy to his legs, he had already noticed the necessary points. When he stood up again, it was enough to send energy to the same points as he was walking.

After a few seconds, he began to feel a thrust building up under his feet, even just walking. The force pushing forward according to the body's position also stopped the moment Ren cut off the energy.

*Wind Steps

Since the wind steps are a technique that has the basis of the foundation, he could use it as he wanted as long as he got used to it a little bit. In fact, it was written in the description that there are those who do not even see this technique as a proper magic.
