"A New Day in Cultivation" °•○●
Ren was lying in bed weeks later. It had been the day of a new tablet distribution the day before. But Ren didn't start a new spree after his previous win. He was both very reluctant and lazy these days, and even the energy pills he had obtained before were still unused.
Ren tried to avoid outside help until he became a level 4 mage. He was still a novice in many aspects of magic and techniques, and he had promised Nuren. Before the sixth level, he had to master all the techniques perfectly.
At one point, he went to one of the free classes the school gave to outfield students. But the environment was very cramped and uncomfortable. They were using someone who had been a student in this outer field a few years ago as a teacher. No expert mage or warrior was teaching. That's why Ren lost faith that school really taught anything until he became an inner disciple.
Ren now spent his evenings meditating and working on his techniques. During the day, he slept in his bed and ate fruit. He usually sat on his bed, reading under the window.
By this time, the first spring had arrived and the weather was starting to warm up. Occasionally, Ren would open the window and sleep with his legs stretched out as the wind blew in.
It was both a very ambitious and quiet time.
..
But one day, when Ren was lying on his bed eating fruit, he remembered something.
He had completely forgotten about the Idiot Isra God's Passive Ability!
For the sake of using the technique, he almost died to the heady energy he got from nature. And when Ren remembered that night, he immediately dropped the fruit bag and his reading book on the floor. Then he took the spellbook from his ring and opened the page he hadn't looked at in a long time.
*Breath of Isra (Side ability - Passive)
: This ability grants the blessing of the God Isra, who bestows Air to living things. It allows the user to use the personal breathing technique for a longer period of time. It increases personal control and calms the mind constantly. Increases Water and Earth element susceptibility.
Ever since Ren had learned this technique, he could feel that it wasn't helping him. Maybe it would help other people meditate or during energy cultivation.
But Ren had received training in these matters from Nuren. And he was also a very patient and calm person. So he didn't need any help in such matters.
It was ridiculous that he nearly died to learn this useless technique.
"Though maybe things would change if I could get earth and water element aura techniques. If Isra gave about twice the strength to all the water and earth element techniques, it would work.
Increasing the general powers of the elements was innate to every human being. For example, person A could be born with a body suitable for the fire element. No matter how hard this person tried, he would automatically convert the elementless energy in his dantian into fire energy after meditation.
Ren's fake mother also created a mental power with her energy and used this power as energy.
Ren still hadn't figured out which element was the best fit. But one day she would realize that she would fully embrace that element, her dantian and her entire body. The spells he cast in that element would be much stronger, and working in that element would yield more results.
At the early levels it was important to find the element that suited him.
"Nuren didn't even give me a clue. Why do I have to discover it myself? Tell me straight and I'll work in that direction.. it's ridiculous."
..
Ren had heard from his mother—his stepmother—what an elemental predisposition was in general. Later, Nuren talked about this a little bit. But he really didn't know how to find out. He decided to think about it for a while and see if he was inclined to the earth or water element.
After all, thanks to this Breath of Isra, if there was one, he could still control a water or earth element at the same power level as the Fire Aura, even without using the Aura technique.
Realizing that it was a big plus, he couldn't imagine the power he would gain if he found the fire-related part of the Isra Breath.
Both x2 from Aura and x2 from passive Isra : Fire techniques with 4X the power. Ren was excited by the thought.
Though, he could do the same if he acquired earth or water aura techniques. But Ren was a nine-year-old kid. How could he get magic any time soon?
The spells the school taught were only elemental techniques given with strict control. There were no auras or special techniques. For example, Ren was surprised that the school didn't even teach the overly simple and trivial technique called "Eyes of the Night."
..
He then took a break from eating to meditate seriously for a while. His throat hasn't stopped at all lately. He was always eating something or dreaming of the food he craved. He had even gained weight recently. He might never be able to meditate if he didn't now put the bag of fruit on the floor back into his ring.
He meditated neatly for a while, and then studied the dantian in his belly.
Dantian's stony surface was rough and uneven. Wondering how he would change in the future, Ren began to study the disease in his chest without breaking his concentration. Although he couldn't see what was there, he could feel it. And he felt that what was there was indeed some sinister powerful disease or some kind of organism.
He wasn't sure which one yet. Ren would have been dead long ago if Nuren hadn't sealed the disease with her own blood so that it wouldn't cause trouble any time soon.
Ren concentrated on his chest for long minutes. He even felt eight drops of Nuren's blood for a while.
His illness was such a strange organism that it even sealed within him 8 drops of Auriel Family blood that needed to be mixed into Ren's body. Although Ren wondered what to do about it, he had no idea. Therefore, he forgot about the subject and studied his other abilities. Since there was no light inside, there was always plenty of dark room, and it was bright at that moment.
After the Eyes of the Night (Passive) technique, Ren, who was more comfortable in the dark now, thought that this technique was not even a technique.
Two indescribably tiny energy strains in his body were going through two small channels towards his eyes, increasing his vision. The continuity of the energy flow also showed that the technique was always on, except during sleep times. That's what (passive) meant, of course.
Unsteadily, Ren stood up and used his fire aura to generate a lot of flame energy. The huge flames in his hands were his favorite thing. Looking at his hands for a while, unable to burn anything, Ren then wondered if this technique could be used in other ways.
For example, is it possible to shape the flames in your hand?
Ren started working right away. But it did not develop as fast as he expected. But he kept trying because there was nothing better to do.
Finally, he was able to move the flames with the thoughts running through his mind. Then, with the gas of that success, he worked even harder. And he learned to influence fire with his body as well. For example, with a simple movement of his arm, he could increase the size of the fire or extinguish it directly.
It was all simple stuff, but it was fun to improve in the end. Ren had completely shaken off his laziness in those seconds.
After a few hours of work, he was able to do small-scale movements easily. For example, he had started to spin the flames in his palm like a whirlwind or a whirlpool, creating a longitudinal storm of fire and wind. But the size of this thing did not exceed 30 to 40 centimeters in total.
"It would be fun to send a whirlwind of hundreds of meters mixed with fire to my enemies."
So Ren was still too weak to do big things.
For example, "A person in perfect form of Windsteps needs to triple his speed. But Ren's speed doubled if he barely pushed himself. And if he pushed too hard..!
Ren's amount of energy, his muscles, the strength and quality of his energy channels, and finally his skill all affected the speed of the technique.
Obviously the techniques were still not in perfect form. And he was determined not to advance to the sixth level without perfecting them.
Ren wanted to learn the simple techniques of the Xarnin Clan when he was still low in level, and to learn Nuren's techniques when he was at level four and five.
Inside the room, he experimented on the energy channels he used in his legs, learned to control fires better, and meditated.
Ren had unwittingly emerged from a laziness period of depression.
He started to work constantly with great enthusiasm and energy in his eyes.
So he spent the rest of that day sitting entirely in his room looking for books and information where he could learn the tricks of the techniques. Of course, he practiced the most. After a while, the change was not only in techniques. Ren's overall energy control had also increased.
It was peaceful to be able to move the energy in his body with gentler touches and commands. He was forcing himself to use techniques without knowing it beforehand. He was forcing the energy he had passed through the channels in his body. He learned that day that he had harmed himself with such an approach.
At the end of the day, he was thinking about the things he had learned when he lay down in bed and picked up the fruit bag again.
He sighed. "The difference between knowing something and not knowing is huge. And I'm one of the most ignorant people in this school. I need to find myself a Magic Teacher..."
