"Six Kids vs Carnivore Tree of Pitaya - 2" " °•○●
After taking a few seconds to make his voice, he ran across to the trunks with huge leaves that looked like a tropical tree with strangely giant leaves.
He ignored the bewildered boy behind him and studied the condition of the tied children.
First, the black-haired sorceress who was using fire magic went to the girl. Ren shouted several times as he tried to cut the ropes with a small dagger that suddenly appeared in his right hand. But despite Ren's voice, the girl couldn't keep her eyes open. Counting the other three, the four tied children weren't in a position to help Ren or move. They were very battered and had trouble moving.
Ren gave up hope and continued cutting the ropes on his own. Although the dagger in his hand was very sharp, it couldn't break it as fast as Ren wanted. But he did not give up and persistently attacked the thick ropes. As they tasted the joy of being rescued among the four children, whose hands were covered with ropes and rags over their mouths, they saw that there was someone other than Ren. Their joy increased even more. What was better than one savior was two saviors. The second boy, who had come running from afar, came near Ren, but did not move. He was still frightened and restless among the trees.
At that moment, the children tied with ropes were looking at Ren as if they wanted to say something. But there was only one person on the other side that Ren couldn't see, who could have shouted even with their mouths open. He just whispered "thanks". But none of them could understand Ren's haste as he cut the ropes like crazy.
Ren yelled at the boy behind him with a great rush that was reflected in his face.
"Help me cut the ropes. AND HURRY! THESE TREES ARE A CURED PREDATOR! THE TYPE OF FLESH EATING PLANT!"
He has never shouted so sincerely before. But he had tried to be as frightening as he could, as he anticipated a difficult situation. Either his shout or his words must have been effective because the other stalker boy came running and tried to untie the ropes. But unlike Ren, he tried with his hands, not with a knife.
In a fury, Ren thrust his hand into his robes as if pulling a knife out of the robes he was wearing, and instantly pulled another dagger from his ring. Instead of giving the dagger politely, he literally threw it where the boy was.
Ignoring the way the boy was holding the airborne dagger, Ren muttered something to himself. Ren and this muscular kid cut the strings right away. Ren was still nervous as they carried the four injured children aside.
He was serious about what he just said. In a forest like this, the only place where there will be no animals would naturally be a dangerous place. The number of things that could happen in a place that was not compatible with animal life but suitable for plant life was very few. Ren had read a sentence in the books he read that "if an environment is under the control of plants so that even insects cannot live, there are plants that kill animals".
And there was not a single fly here.
"Boys and girl...! Get up, y'all, we have to run as far away from here as we can. If we stay here, we're dead!" Ren adjusted his voice in a tone that showed he believed in what he was saying. He wasn't actually pretending, and he was really worried.
But he didn't think that they would die as long as they paid attention. A bit of exaggeration wouldn't have been bad for them to have an innocently dramatic moment.
Ren wanted these children to be grateful to him and, if possible, feel indebted in the form of "life debt."
The children all listened to Ren and stood up, even though they were all looking at Ren like he was crazy. The sorceress was the most difficult. Although She was a powerful mage, her body was very weak. As a little girl, being beaten didn't hold up well.
Just as she thought Ren was making such a fuss for nothing, she took the first step when a shrill scream came from behind her.
A strange vine started to move at the top of the tree that the children were just attached to. She moved as if she had felt what had touched her trunk and wanted to grab it and drag it down her throat among the leaves above her.
The plant moved with its vines and branches towards one of the tired children still leaning against the tree. It was as if he was intelligent and acted as if he had a brain. After the first vines and branches, others came out and went down. But when they found nothing, they stopped moving as if nothing had happened.
Vines swayed a little as if they had eyes, and they went upstairs with the same screaming sound. Ren, who doesn't know how strong they are, would have left the quartet to die if these vines had just emerged, not even trying to fight. The sound of the ivy was terrifying.
Even Ren did not expect such a scenario. Despite their plight, the children were frightened, running behind Ren and away from the trees. Ren, on the other hand, was stunned by the realization of his exaggerated idea.
[I wonder if I'm a seer? Or is it just luck? Hahaha..]
All four bonded children were in bad shape. Of them all, the boy who opened his eyes and thanked Ren just now was the only good mover. He was older than the others and looked to be about fourteen.
He had a black earring in his right ear while half of his hair was white. He was the one who coped best with his injuries and the frightening situation. He smiled at Ren and the muscular boy and nodded gratefully again.
Although he was better than the others, even he was not in a position to open his mouth and speak. He was in very bad shape with nausea in his stomach, constant pain in his eyes, bloody nose, and ribs he suspected were broken. It was surprising that he actually lasted this long after what he felt.
Ren suddenly formed a very confident expression on his face. He called out to the boy and the others, "My name is Ren. I'm okay with you. Rather, I'm only here to help. Now if you want some sleep, I'll stand guard and protect you. Rest well in peace, because it's going to be a long way back to school..."
Even though he heard all four of them, only the white-haired boy could nod. All four of them began to sleep as their heads fell to the ground where they were. And they trusted Ren's word as he turned his head and looked at the muscular boy.
...
Seeing Ren who didn't move for the first minute, the muscular boy stopped looking and entered the conversation himself. "My name is Nebua. The Bulls did the same to someone very close to me. They said they would take him to the woods and punish him. But when they got back to school last night, they didn't bring my friend. So I came today to find out what happened to him. "
The boy was very upset and frightened by his facial expression looking at the trees around him.
While the boy's voice was silenced, they both stared at the peaceful and beautiful sight of the tree, which was now far away.
If Ren had not intervened, the tree would probably have killed all four children. And even Ren knew it wasn't his wits but his haste that saved these kids. He deliberately took each step slowly, giving him some time to think. The moment he realized the strangeness, he had already won. But still, even he didn't know how this tree moved so fast or how it reached out to the children with its branches.
Maybe it's sound? So if me and this muscular boy hadn't come, the tree wouldn't have moved until one of these four woke up and made a sound. But they would die in the middle of the night or early morning.
Anyway, I've been their savior... Strange.
Just like in the stories his father told, there were a total of five people who trusted him and owed their lives. Even Ren had planned for four at best, but with this muscular boy, he had five companions-helpers. He cleared his throat to give himself a cool and powerful image before opening his mouth.
"Your friend is probably dead, but if he's not dead and needs to be saved, I'll help."
Surprised, the boy took his eyes off Ren and stared at the ground. He was emotional. Ren was the second person to treat her well since coming to this school. And the other was a childhood friend.
The Outfield too had heard the kindest and kindest words anyone could ever hear from Ren. He forgot even a bit of his fear of forest and vegetation with his feelings.
And the already innate little skeptic side in him did not interfere with him. For example, he didn't use a bad sentence like "what do you want in return". He was starting to trust Ren.
