"Distributing of Tablets and Pills" °•○●

A few moments later, Ren found himself in a huge crowd. All the outer disciples were in this vast area. It was an area in the middle of the outer court area where the students usually sat and chat.

Ren had never dared to enter here before in the previous week.

There were several tall cypress trees and some small fruit trees around. It would be a very peaceful environment without such a huge crowd of people.

Lined up in the square, it was the first time in his life that Ren had seen anything like this. Seeing only twenty to thirty, at most fifty, children whenever he went out, Ren had thought the school housed only a few hundred students on the outside. But the number of students still growing in the square had already exceeded thousands!

How can they afford to house so many people? In addition, even the basic needs of these people such as cleaning, food and water should be at a level that would drive large clans or even kingdoms crazy. How?

From a business viewpoint, Ren knew this many people wouldn't be allowed to live here if they weren't helping the school. Somehow they were giving the school some benefits right? Nothing in this world was free or good. He was sure that there were reasons he didn't know yet for the school was housing so many potential wizards and warriors.

But Ren thought a little more about the matter.

Considering that such a large crowd were all at least first-level mages and warriors, such a large group was frightening. In the past, he thought that every student was worth even a little bit. He even thought that he was special because he was a mage. After all, the number of mages was less than the warriors.

But seeing this crowd, now the situation was frightening. Disappearances of one or two people would be unnoticed in this messy school. Ren would be dead and no one would find that out before a couple of months.

Maybe mages and warriors weren't as rare as he thought!

..

Half an hour passed. The crowd got bigger.

A smug-looking woman in her forties appeared at the end of the road leading inland. And she slowly walked down the uphill road towards the outer court area.

As soon as they saw the woman, the voices of all the students stopped. They were clearly under the effect of either fear or respect.

Ren was already quiet as he had no one to talk to, but seeing the impact of the incoming person, he tried to be more careful too. If so many people were afraid, it couldn't just be out of respect. Probably there was a reason. This woman was a very dangerous teacher or a powerful administrator.

The woman turned to a high hill from which the entire field could be seen, and stood there. She began to watch the crowd of children in the square.

Her short hair was white as snow. Seeing the woman's face and body, Ren saw that she was a very old but religious person. He was wearing very thick and dark clothes. She wore dark clothes, the kind used by religious people in this region.

But before Ren had a chance to examine her further, she raised her hand and moved it in the air. The woman's movement resembled a circle. A strange whistling sound began to form in the air as She turned her hand three times. As most of the students around were waiting in calm, Ren imitated them. He raised his head.

An unimaginable number of tablets were flying in the sky!

Seeing the pills go down with the woman's fourth wave of her hand, Ren finally understood what the woman had done. It would be difficult to distribute them to all students one by one. That's why the school was distributing tablets with such a method.

With Magic!

With each hand movement of the white-haired woman, the tablets descended further down, two at the top of each student.

Ren didn't know how powerful a mage would have to be to be able to move so many items so perfectly. Moreover, these tablets were small in size, and even separating them so that each student had two at the top required incredible control and skill.

The tablets that flew over all the children, including Ren, were almost impossible to find in the lands outside the school. Although Ren didn't care much, the other students knew that the strength of the "Battle Schools" came from the students they had and, most importantly, the resources they had.

Ren didn't care at all. He saw the school only as a place where he could get information and a hotel to live in. He didn't care about resources or anything else. This school was for him a crowded field that served as a hotel and where he could pass his boredom.

Every piece of information and tablet given to him was an extra benefit. If Ren hadn't been sick, he would never have come to such a ridiculous school, he would have built a huge business empire using the gold in his ring. He spent his money buying beautiful houses and plots and living a comfortable life. It was also easy to hire a private magician teacher when she wanted to learn magic.

But his illness made him have to try everything to speed things up.

..

Ren sighed and decided that if he could be as strong as this woman, he had a chance to heal himself. If he could use healing spells at the same level as this woman used, Ren would even be immortal.

And his main purpose in coming here was to see things like the white-haired woman did. Learning techniques and energy uses that he wouldn't have known on his own would have been time consuming for Ren out there. Expanding his horizons was a difficult thing, and Ren alone didn't even know where to start. Haeling Magic was rare. Not even Nuren wrote a healing spell to the book.

Looking at the objects flying through the air at that moment, Ren wondered what the name of this technique was. Then he added this technique to the list of "Things to Learn" in his mind. Though already there were sixteen unlearned techniques in this list (the list got smaller as he learned the Fireball). But there was no harm in asking for more.

..

With the tenth wave of the woman's hand, all the pills descended as far as the children could reach. All the students were silently waiting without stretching their hands. Ren did what those around him did and just waited. Everyone in the area seemed to be waiting for the woman to say something. Everyone was nervous and excited.

Indeed, after a few seconds, a voice was heard, both powerful and quite screechy, and stomach-churning. The white-haired woman's voice was raised with energy. But either the woman's natural voice was too hideous or there was something wrong with the magic she used.

All the hairs on Ren's body stood up, and a strange taste of vomit rose in his throat.

Ren added something new to his list of "the most disgusting sounds I've ever heard in my life."

"This woman broadens my horizons in both good and bad ways..hahaha…" Ren laughed for a few seconds and focused on the conversation.

"Next month the hunting season will begin for "wolves" and two months later for "red eagles." As soon as the woman finished speaking, all the pills in the air began to fall as the energy holding them disappeared.

The woman did not speak for a long time. But it was also their luck for this disgusting voice wasn't heard more than necessery. Ren wondered if the woman knew how bad her own voice was. "She is probably aware, right? After all she spoke very briefly."

..

All of the children standing ready about a meter below grabbed a tablet and an energy pill that had been left for them.

Although there were minor disagreements in some places, it was generally okay. In any case, no one dared steal energy pills by beating someone else in front of the white-haired woman watching them. Stuff like this has happened before. The quarreling disciples attracted a lot of attention and found the wrath of the sorceress on them with a single spell of her.

Ren stared brightly at the things he had picked up, wondering what level he would grow to be thanks to them.

While the woman's eyes were watching the crowd, the scattered students were constantly moving, standing at a certain distance from each other. The energy pill distribution was over. No more would be given until the next month. So the whole crowd began to disperse.

In some places, groups of three, five or even ten could be seen walking together. Having a group of friends meant having a security in the outer zone.

Ren started running towards his house, ignoring the dangerous-looking people around. He was unaware that the white-haired woman, still standing in the same spot on the northern hill, was watching him.
