The meeting room was once again left speechless due to Li Han's actions. Just who is the person that can make him stop a two-hour meeting without consequences? Zi Hao looked at everyone, shrugged and caught up with Li Han. In Li Han's office, Mei Yin was starting to wonder what was taking that person so long. They clearly don't know how rude it is to keep a person waiting.
Zi Hao hadn't realized that he didn't tell Mei Yin where he was going. He was too excited to receive praise from his boss that he had just left her in the office. She had been waiting for Zi Hao for what seemed like an eternity. She was scanning his office with her clear hazel eyes familiarizing herself with the mystery person's office. Mei Yin assumed it was a male's office since the furnishings were quite masculine and simple.
Just as Mei Yin thought to get up, Li Han walked through the door dissolving any plans she had to leave. This man looked so familiar, but Mei Yin couldn't remember where she saw him from. He doesn't have a face that is easily forgetful though... Li Han extended his hand with a well-hidden smile on his face.
"Sorry to keep you waiting. I'm Li Han." Oh, what a nice name. Li Han? Li Group's Li Han? He's ... "I'm Mei Yin. She stood and took his hand in hers. You're my Airline's new CEO aren't you?" "How kind of you to read my letter. Please take a seat." While Mei Yin sat in her original seat; on the loveseat, Li Han moved to the chair directly in front of her. Most men in a position of power want to sit at the head of every table, meeting, and gathering. Mei Yin found this man to be quite strange and unconsciously let out a giggle.
"May I ask what has Miss Xin laughing?" Li Han gazed into her eyes almost lost in them. Pulled away from her thoughts, Mei Yin tried to give him an answer that wouldn't offend him. Rich people tended to have very large power complexes and she really didn't know what Li Han was capable of. "Mr. Li, please don't take my words offensive in any way." Li Han gave her a nod and leaned forward towards her, waiting for her every word.
"In my humble opinion, most men of your status almost always sit in that seat over there." Mei Yin extended her right arm and pointed to the chair placed at the head of the table. She pulled her arm back and placed it on her lap when she couldn't gauge his thoughts. Was he angry, did I offend him? Li Han was just as giddy as a six-year-old girl getting candy and an extended bedtime. He couldn't help but be happy. His girl was concerned about his image and how people saw him.
"I don't think I'll need to sit there today." His face softened as he looked at her. Huh? What does he mean? "Oh. Okay." Maybe she thought too much into it. "If it's okay with you, can we move forward to the subject that has brought us together for today's meeting?" Without giving her a second to digest, Li Han jumped straight to discussion.
"On behalf of Li Group and SkyAir, I would like to formally invite you to participate as the face and brand ambassador of SkyAir." He extended out his hand and Zi Hao handed him a contract. "I understand that you naturally have things to look over and think about while you contemplate your decision. Allow me to just highlight some of the important details. The contract stands for 1 year.
Your obligations are as follows: you are to appear at all company-related events whether they are by Li Group or SkyAir. Of course, there will be several concept photoshoots and pictorials that you would have to attend and complete. The contract goes more into detail, but for now, do you have any questions?" This man has left no room for the word no. Li Han truly was a businessman and he was a good one too.
"I just have concerns about my current work schedule. If I were to say yes to this contract, how would that affect my schedule at work? I'm not a reserve flight attendant anymore so what if there is a conflict as far as flying goes?" Mei Yin was concerned that she wouldn't be able to handle both flying and ambassador events. Li Han understood her concerns and only wanted the best for her and to see her happy.
"Do you happen to have your schedule with you?" Mei Yin nodded, pulled out her phone accessed her schedule. Since she was sitting on the loveseat, Li Han moved closer to her to get a better view of her phone. It was full of 4-day trips and what days she did have off, were scattered throughout the month. You could say that she was just as busy as Li Han... if not busier.
"I see what you mean. Be sure to follow up with your supervisor and Zi Hao. By that time, they should have more insight as far as what steps you should take." Mei Yin just nodded. Li Han had yet to go back to his original seat. "I have one more question though. Will I be getting paid for any work pertaining to this contract?"
Li Han's brows raised a little when he heard her. "I'm not being greedy or anything like that, I just see this as an extension of work...and there are workforce labor laws..." Her voice trailed off almost non-existent at the end of her sentence. Li Han let out a friendly laugh surprising Zi Hao, Mei Yin, and more importantly himself. Zi Hao broke character for a split second to reevaluate his reality. She was so diligent he just couldn't help himself.
"Don't misunderstand me. My intentions are honest and yes you will be paid for anything under contract. Any amendments to the contract; if any, will also be paid in full to you. The contractual agreement is valued to be about 1 million. Zi Hao." "1.5 million, sir." Mei Yin's face fell to the floor. "Are there any more questions for me to answer Miss Xin?" No words came out. All she could do at that moment was shake her head, but it barely moved.
"Well then, I shall let you take this contract and read it over properly. Once you have come to a decision you can come back to me personally and we can sign it then." What? Were they not signing now? Zi Hao was confused. Did his boss work him to death and back just for a 15-minute meeting that wasn't even finalized?! Mei Yin nodded and rose from her seat. "Zi Hao, show her down." Zi Hao bowed and escorted Mei Yin to the lobby.
