As Zi Hao stepped into the elevator he couldn't stop thinking about what he just witnessed. He raked his brain but couldn't come up with a solution. His boss found a girl but she doesn't know he exists. His boss disregards meetings and his employees but he tiptoes around this woman whose head just barely passes his shoulders. His boss made him go on a wild goose chase and had the PR department rush a 1-year contract with such lenient terms. All of this for 15 minutes and she didn't even sign the contract. Just what were they possibly thinking?!
The elevator doors opened and Zi Hao quickly got himself in order. He stopped and ordered the usual bacon club and green tea for his boss. After confirming the delivery status, Zi Hao knocked on Li Han's door. "Sir, it's well past lunch. Would you like to eat, or resume the meeting from earlier?"
"I'll take lunch. Relay to the intern that she has 2 days to resubmit her work." "Yes, sir." That intern should pray for Xin Mei Yin to have good health and fortune in the future. Li Han's good mood just saved her life.
While waiting for his lunch, Li Han couldn't stop thinking about Mei Yin. They have obviously met each other before, and yet she still doesn't have a clue about him. It's so strange that she could be so diligent with other things...and yet she still acts as if she has pregnancy IQ. He made himself a promise to feed her lots of eggs and fish.
After Mei Yin got home, the first thing she did was look over the contract she got from Li Han. While the idea and shock were still fresh in her mind, she decided to do a full run-through of the contract in her hands. 'Party A and B willingly enter into a mutual contractual agreement.
For a 12 month term, Party A shall appear on behalf of and or with Party B(any designated representative appointed by Li Group) for any and all contractual and negotiated events scheduled here or after the signed agreement date. Party A is required to participate in photoshoots and ad campaigns pertaining to the company. All costs and expenses shall be covered in full by Party B including payment of any conflicting schedules from the signing date of this agreement.
Early termination of the contract from any party before the contract separation date will result in a breach of contract. The compensation for breach of contract for either involved Party is 5 million. The separation fee shall be distributed immediately upon termination of the contract to the affected Party. This agreement is confidential and should not be disclosed to any party outside of this agreement unless otherwise notified by Party B and or the appointed representative(s).'
Mei Yin finished going through the contract details and besides the contract termination fee, it looked like a good deal to her. Now all she had to do was sign it. Mei Yin set up an appointment with Zi Hao for the following week so that she could sign the contract. When Mei Yin arrived at the Li Group building she was escorted straight up to Li Han's office.
Because she bypassed so many people and departments with so little credentials, Mei Yin received a plethora of looks ranging from surprise, shock, anger, and pure jealousy. A particular junior secretary felt all four of these emotions in the pit of her stomach. She clutched her fists so hard her knuckles turned pale and transparent. If she pressed any harder, her nails would have pierced through her skin.
Li Han's secretary knocked on the door and showed her inside. This time instead of waiting for him, Li Han was waiting for her. "Miss Xin, it's nice to see you again. Please, take a seat." She didn't really know how to respond so she opted to nod instead. Mei Yin sat down on the same neutral colored loveseat as she did the last time that she was in his office.
She watched as Li Han sauntered from his desk to the chair placed directly across from her. His aura was magnifying and charismatic without being overbearing and aloof. It was one of self-confidence and assurance while still allowing her room to breathe. "Have you looked through the contents enough? Is there anything you don't understand?"
"Yes. No. I think I'm good to go. I've looked through everything and I understand the terms." Li Han took out a pen from his navy-blue Burberry suit and handed it to Mei Yin. "If you're ready, shall we sign?" Mei Yin signed the contract and handed the pen back to Li Han. After everything was finished she unconsciously let out a deep breath that she had been holding in for some time.
Mei Yin still couldn't believe that she just signed a 1.5 million dollar deal with her boss's boss's boss. That's 10.5 million yuan and some change! 93,450 yuan to be exact. Li Han strolled over to his desk and depressed the button on his interphone. Within a minute, Zi Hao entered the office with his Ipad followed by a medium statured woman who appeared to be in her late 20s.
