Jin had survived the attack that left a hole in this tower and lit up the night sky. "What were those celestials thinking? Thinking that some children come and stop me. Now I need to create a portal to the demon world," said Jin aloud while scanning the room. Quint, Shay, and Lucas woke back up, unable to move, just able to watch Jin and his actions. "I don't need this tower anymore! I'll destroy it and you!" shouted Jin to them. "Fire boy, I'll kill you first!" Jin raised his hand and gathered energy into it. A yellow steak of electricity flew right past him. Jin stood still with his mouth and eyes wide open. "What the fuck was that?" thought Quint. "It can't be you again!" yelled Jin as blood dripped from his neck. His head slid off of his neck and hit floor.
Quint watched as Jin's head hit the floor, leaving his body standing there, motionless and blood shooting out of its neck. "Who did that,?" thought Quint as he looked around the room looking for the person who easily lopped off Jin's head. He finally saw her, he could only see her from the back. She was wearing a yellow full body suit with black stripes along the arms and legs, there is a sheathe on her back, and a Chinese style straight sword. The blade is black and the handle is yellow.
She walked over to Jin's body and disappeared and reappeared in front of him. "That's fast!" thought Quint. After a few flashes of light, Jin's body was minced into tiny cubes and incinerated causing the orb to fall out and crack. The souls inside the orb escaped and returned to their bodies. After that, she walked to Jin's head and picked up with here sword by shoving it through the head. She then sent electricity through the sword and destroyed the head.
She turned and faced Quint. "What the hell are you doing here son?" said Mary. "Mom!" thought Quint. Quint attempted to respond, but she interrupted him. " Don't speak! Save your energy," said Mary as she approached him laying on the floor, "I know that this is a surprised, but we'll talk about this later. Can you walk?" Quint stood up and nodded. "Good, now grab Lucas and I'll get your sister and let's get out of here," said Mary. The tower started to fall apart. "Hurry! yelled Mary. They grabbed Shay and Lucas and exited the tower before it crumbled and returned home.
When they returned home, Mary and Quint put Shay and Lucas in bed to rest. "What was that, Mom?" questioned Quint. "That was me saving your life. How could you be so reckless?! Fighting a demon of his caliber without help," responded Mary. "I had to. I was ordered to kill Jin! The Celestials said I have to because I'm a Demon Hunter. That was the deal I made in order to come back to life," answered Quint. "We will discuss this tomorrow once everyone is up . Get some rest," said Mary while cleaning blood from her sword.
Quint spent the night thinking about the past. How he used to see his mother leave home in the middle of the night. How she would return with injuries or even not at all. How she would be gone for days at a time, supposedly at fighting competitions. He even remembered one particular night, when he saw her in the full body suit and disappearing. He thought it was a dream, it has to be, because people don't just disappear, right? Then it hit him, he thought about how she easily killed Jin, when he had absolutely no chance against him. How strong is she?
The next day, Mary had cooked everyone breakfast. Lucas, Shay, and Quint woke up to the smell of bacon, eggs, and pancakes. They all rush to the kitchen! " I see that you all are feeling better," said Mary while she fixes the plates for everyone. Quint looks at Mary and says, "Mom, are you going to tell us about last night?" Shay and Lucas turned and faced Quint looking confused. "Won't faced then and said, "Mom showed up last night and annihilated Jin! I wasn't the one to beat him, my attack didn't kill or weaken him!" Mary looked at him sharply as if he had said something that wasn't supposed to be said. "Is that true, Mom?" asked Shay. Lucas stopped eating and looked up at Mary. Mary sighed and said "It's true, I'm a Demon Hunter. I've been one since I was a child."
"That long?! Did Dad know?" asked Quint. "Of course he knew! He was actually stronger me," answered Mary. "Dad was a Demon Hunter too?!" asked Shay. "Yes, he was the best! He would've beaten Him without touching him," exclaimed Mary. The rest of the morning was spent discussing her past.
"That's enough questions! I need train to you all because if you're going to be fighting demons, you won't be bringing embarrassment to our name. You guys better be ready. This will be the hardest training you all will experience. If you thought my other training before you got powers was bad, this will be 10 times worse! Now I know I can up my game and let you feel the electricity of the #1 Demon Hunter, Yellow Lightning!" declared Mary.
Fear entered their hearts because up until now, they thought Mary's training was as hard as it gets. Her training methods were definitely illegal in most countries and now there's no telling what she may do. "Pack your bags, we're going off grid for the next two months! You all will be proper fighters and beating someone like Jin will be a piece of cake," said Mary. "You can make us that strong, that fast?" asked Lucas. "Yes, if you work your ass off," replied Mary. Quint squeezed his fist, excited that he can get stronger. Lucas looked at Quint excitedly and said, "Looks like our fights will be more intense than ever!" Quint smiled and nodded at him.
