Chapter 58 - Chapter 58 - Same Foolish Eyes

The group knows how to enjoy their food. The dishes are almost wiped out. Even the sea foods paella to share is almost gone. Tim's phone which is place on the table with screen facing down kept on vibrating. Someone is not giving up with the calls. When the phone rang earlier, he casually flipped it so the sound would go off, however it kept on vibrating. He knew who it was.

"Come on, it's probably an emergency pick it up." It never stopped from vibrating; Pam thought the call might be important but Tim is ignoring it.

At the height of his annoyance and anger with what happened, he blocked Lissy on chat. Upon Pam's suggestion, Tim answered the phone, his voice was very formal. "Hello?"

"Tim, why did you pick up just now? I was trying to call you since the other day, but I guess you were in a flight already. Are you back home?" Lissy was really worried he surprisingly paid her a visit and left abruptly.

"I am back safe."

"Thank God, I am worried. I was sending messages but seems it's not getting through."

"Is that why you called?" Tim's voice was cold as ice.

"Can I not be worried? Even if we broke the engagement, we still have a relationship." Lissy found a way to put the situation into a gray area.

Tim: "…"

Lissy continued to play dumb, "I know you felt bad when our engagement is broken but are, we really separating just like that?" She wanted to make sure this is clear as she started to execute her 'plans' with Li Bin.

"What? Should I pretend it did not happen?"

"Will you not wait for me? I will be back when I am ready."

Rather than feeling hopeful about salvaging the relationship, Tim felt like he is getting played on. Who would be so stupid to continue to be in a romantic relationship after an engagement break up? It is not like they have agreed to call it off. Tim indirectly answered, "do whatever you want to do."

Tim's response was not good, but it was not bad either. If in case her plan fails, she will take it as being allowed to be free momentarily. Tim cannot refuse her if she returns, if and only if she will be returning his side. Lissy knew that he is the only one that can heal Tim's broken heart. She is the only one who was able to capture his heart after resting for a long time. She also gave him her first.

"Excuse me for a while." His voice was still heavy, he stood to avoid the questioning eyes of the 3. He went to the restroom to cool down.

"What was that all about? Do you have an idea who called?"

Mark ignored the question and continued eating, picking the last chorizo. "Babe?!"

"Can we not talk about it now? He would be back anytime soon." Mark explained, he actually doesn't know if Tim is ready to tell everyone what happened.

"Forget about the service then!" Jenna put a lot of stress on the word service.

"You are cruel!"

"What service is this?" Pam was clueless of the topic.

"Something you are avoiding." Jenna answered Pam looking at her, but her left hand was rubbing Mark's thigh. She is teasing him.

"What?"

Mark is getting tight with the stroking, "pretend you don't know, the engagement is off."

"What?!" The two ladies answered in chorus.

"No further details, you have to wait. He could be back any minute." True enough, Tim is actually on his way back to the table.

Pam was looking at him as his figure become near, his presence is suddenly blinding her. Something is off with her stomach. She stood right before Tim is seated. Pam rushed to the restroom.

"I will go follow her. She might faint again." Jenna knew that Pam is struggling with some eating disorder. As she was not eating enough and was throwing up her intake, Pam's stomach is probably shocked with the amount of food she had.

"What happened?"

Mark looked guilty for spilling the news, but he has not idea if it is related to Pam's reaction. Was it very surprising? "I think her stomach is upset."

No wonder she was complaining of the shrimps he placed on her plate. "I almost forgot, put in so much on her plate. It was probably too much for her to take."

Mark is relieved hearing this.

In few minutes the ladies were back.

"Are you alright?" Tim was looking at her face the moment he saw them walking back to the table until she is seated beside him.

Pam nodded her head. "I probably had to much food." She could feel that Tim is still gazing at her from the side. She drank some water to avoid feeling awkward.

"I think you need to increase your food intake slowly." Jenna said this while looking left and right the two persons in front of her. The way Tim gazed at Pam was very familiar. "Remember you are having the procedure by Wednesday so make sure you don't get sick anytime. Most importantly stop treating food as your enemy!"

"Yes Mom!" Pam chuckled with Jenna scolding her. She is so lucky to have met her.

The four continued to be together, accompanying Pam in buying the stuff she needed to bring. The four of them together was surreal but it felt good. She never imagined this time would come. The four of them in one space and frame like before. Although they are no longer in a relationship it made her happy.

Jenna and Mark ended up dropping Pam first, then Tim before heading back to their nest. Just like Pam, Jenna felt extremely happy today. Her wish came true, she wanted the two to treat each other like human being. Before Pam was like a prisoner who is trying to escape Tim while the other one is like a predator hunting for his prey.

"Babe don't you feel good about Tim and Pam?"

"Of course, I am! They wasted so much time apart. I don't know where this is going. Tim is actually broken hearted. We don't want Pam to be a rebound girl. You know well what happened to her."

"I really admire how you can go from 10 km/hour to 200km/hour. I was just describing the friendly situation. Are you thinking that they would be romantically linked on an instant?"

"That is why I said I don't know where this is going…were you listening to me babe?"

"Why bring up she should be a rebound girl. Foolish words to say!"

"Can you blame me? Have you not seen how he looked at Pam in the restaurant right after you guys came back from the rest room? Those were the same eyes that foolishly looked at your best friend!"
