'Now I need to leave the town and find a safe place to rank up into a 2-star life form. If I rank up in the town and I evolve into something that isn't a Yaban, who knows what the people here will do to me.'
Joshua then gets up from the residential area and head forwards the direction of the gate leading back to the fields.
After a few minutes Joshua is now faced with the gate that he once entered almost a month ago.
'It's been a month already? It really is about time I left. I am no longer the weak helpless Yaban of last month, now I leave stronger.'
Joshua exits the town thinking of the difference compared to when he first entered. Joshua has a look of nostalgia, but he continues walking with a firm determination.
'Since I came to this world I have been living life aimlessly. Living purely for the purpose of living. Now that I am stuck here I might as well set a high standard for myself.'
'I will become a god.' Joshua declares in his heart without a shred of hesitation.
'I don't particularly care why I came to this world, but now that I'm here I won't settle for second place. I either become a god or nothing!'
'But that is too far ahead of me for now. I first need to worry about my rank up happening in the moment.'
Joshua looks around the field of a place to rank up, but in an open field there really isn't any secluded spot to rank up.
Joshua supposed that he could dig a hole and rank up there as that's what he assumed was how the other Yabans ranked up, but that was risky as anything could happen when he was vulnerable.
Joshua was certainly not going to take any chances with his life so that option was instantly vetoed.
So this left Joshua with the question of where should he rank up if the field and the village was a no go.
Joshua looks at the dense forest around the field with reluctance in his eyes.
Left with no other choice he decides to head forward the forest, but makes sure to stay at the outskirts as going in too deep would definitely be more dangerous than ranking up in the field.
Not long after looking around the outskirts of the forest Joshua found a small cave naturally hidden by a bush and two trees.
'This will do just fine. It's naturally hidden and it's somewhat spacious so even if I evolve into a larger species there will be room to spare.'
'Though I am a bit worried about what might lay deeper in this cave, but I don't think anything is living here with it being so hidden.'
'It's better than digging a hole to evolve in the open plains anyways.'
'Well I guess I better start'
Joshua lays down and closes his eyes focusing on his status causing it to appear in his mind.

{Ready to rank up}
'rank up' Joshua declares in his mind.
{Host is ranking up}
{Host has gained title [Carniovre]}
{Host has gained title [Unexpected Predator]}
{Host has gained title [Wanderer]}
'Oooh... I actually got titles! The carnivore title from eating the skewers and the unexpected predator title for hunting the rays. I knew that they would come in handy, but to think I would actually get titles from them.'
'I can only think that my last title comes from traveling all the way to the village. Of course being a Yaban also makes getting these titles easier.'
'If I were say a human then eating a meat skewer and traveling the distance I did probably wouldn't have yielded any titles.'
'This is because to a human eating a meat skewer isn't really much of an achievement. I guess being a Yaban has its benefits.'
'Anyways let's see what else this system has to offer.'
{Hist has been given the following choices to rank up into}
{If host does not pick then a random choice will be automatically selected}
[Horned Yaban] (Tier 1)
[Warring Canine] (Tier 1)
[Forest Wolf] (Tier 1)
[Hunting Bear] (Tier 2)
[(Light-scale) Direwolf] (Mutated Tier 2)
'Five choices! I'm definitely only getting so many choices because I am still a 1-star life form and the achievements I got.'
'The Horned Yaban is what those "Mr. Biggies" were, but I'm obviously not going to choose that.'
'Two of them are even tier 2 with the direwolf being a mutated species.'
'Logically the Direwolf is the obvious choice, but I am kind of reluctant to become a wolf as they left a bad impression on me.'
'Additionally bears were my favorite animal in my past life.'
'But choosing to become a weaker species is effectively narrowing down my already slim chances of becoming a god.'
'Sorry bears, but I will still keep my love for you in my heart'
'I guess I'm fighting fire with fire. To get revenge on the wolves I'll become one myself!'
'I choose to rank up into the [(Light-scale) Direwolf]!'
{Host has chosen to rank up into [(Light-scale) Direwolf] (Mutated Tier 2)}
{Rank up process commencing}
{Warning!}
{Host will become vulnerable during the rank up process}
{Beginning rank up into a two-star life form}
At that moment a thin film of light enveloped Joshua's body.
It had looked as if the Yaban had was inside of a thin egg, but if one looked closely they would find that no matter how thin the egg looked they would not be able to peer into what was happening inside.
The "egg" softy beated rhythmically eerily resembling a beating heart.
