As the hours turned into a day and than two. Thoughts begin to come easier. Not a word had been spoken between the ever glowing man and myself. He would appear and go about daily tasks constantly handing me bowls of hot goodness. Though quickly I would become sleepy so my wariness grew after a time. Parts of me wanted to just be taken care of with no worries but the dreams would come and the beast would emerge in my mind . This time my senses were picking up on a change of shape or physical being. That terrifying thought was recurring.
I was jarred back to the present as I smelled bread baking and a funny sound . There wasnt much in the little cabin. A pallet to sleep on, the fire , table and chairs. Wind kept the curtains blowing about . The door was kicked open as I glanced up at the glowing man more green than usual today. He nodded curtly and proceeded to toss a limp chicken on the table . Efficiently going about his routine. I wondered if he would even notice if I tried to leave. The thought kept rolling around as I assessed my situation. Good food wasnt going to keep me safe nor was a place to lay my head.
