Chapter 4 - Heaven or Hell (2)

Footprints?

Was someone else here? There was no other signs of life.  Maybe they had woken up before her and the slam of the door was them leaving. But did they leave through the waterfall?

Lilia  took a step more into the room. It was very strange as the ceiling itself seemed to be illuminated. Green runners were taking over the wall and a little of the floor. It was all a surreal image.

A chill ran down her spine. She had better

close the door. It was better to go to the kitchen and grab a knife just in case she would need to defend herself in the future. She didn't know what kind of person was here with her or if they would come back.

She stepped backwards and grabbed the handle and closed the door. She turned around.

Her heart stopped for a moment before she instinctively went in to fight mode.

Staring back at her was a pair of murderous deep black eyes on a devilishly handsome chiseled face.

Lilia  was momentarily distracted by his looks. He was well built and at least a head taller than her. His long silvery blue hair seemed to be half wet, mostly slicked back. He wore a deep blue robe with silvery- white designs. He looked like someone who stepped out of a history book. A deity even.  He had a strong aura about him. This was the type of man she was attracted to.

Lilia  almost shook her head. This man's eyes were screaming death. He eluded a suppressive aura that caused her to remain rooted in her spot. He was definitely the type she should stay away from. She was done with men for the next hundred lifetimes.

Neither of them made any movements. The man's eyes scanned Lilia . A wave of confusion passed through them and his nose crinkled before disappearing.

To Lilia  he looked too out of place in this home. If this was her dream she couldn't guess why a type like him would be here.

"You having the nerves to show yourself before me again means you must be ready to die." His voice was frigid. Lilia  felt like she found herself in some deep sh*t.

"Excuse me? I'm sorry, you must have the wrong person. I don't know you." Lilia  tried to sound as polite as possible.

"What kind of games are you playing? Do you think that if change you soul a bit I would be unable to identify you?! You clearly have the deal on you!"

Was he yelling at her?

Lilia  stared at him. Her mind was blank. She was going to ask if he was crazy but she thought about the recent events and wanted to laugh instead. This was too much. She must have been lost in some corner of her mind.

"I'm sorry. I don't know you and I don't know what deal you're talking about. I don't even know where I am!"

Lilia  wanted tmo ensure her understood hey points. If she had met him before she would remember. She couldn't forget a face like his in any lifetime.

An unusual pressure surrounded her, making her slightly nauseous.

"Little girl don't play tricks with me. I don't know where you ran off to but you better cooperate with me and don't waste my time."

Little girl? She was a grown woman. Who was he calling a little girl. He couldn't be that much older than her unless she miscalculated his age. The nerves on him.

"Well I don't like to repeat myself: I said I don't know you."

An invisible force picked her up and slammed her into the wall in a fluid motion. Stars  clouded her vision as pain exploded in the back of her skull and spine. Lilia struggled to regain her breath. What was that?

The man watched her for a moment. His face didn't seem to change much, it anything it got darker.

Lilia  pushed against the force but she couldn't move. She was truly helpless. What kind of black magic was this?

The man took a step forward, coming slowly towards Lilia . His eyes didn't leave her face. Was he going to kill her? She didn't even do anything!

He stopped so close to her, she could feel the cool silk fabric brush lightly against her skin. Her stared up at him like a wide-eyed doe, her head tilting slightly to the side. She realized that his eyes were a true black and he was definitely not much older than her. Why was he so close to her?

"Lilia . Do not play games with me. I am not one of you gullible humans."

He knew her name?

Hearing him say her name, she began to realize something. To be in this house again and to be in the body of when she was the happiest and him knowing her name it had one explanation. He had to be the devil.

The only question is what deal did she make with him? If she were dead shouldn't she remember what had conspired to land her in this situation? As far as she could tell, there was an incomplete deal and the man was almost ready to kill her over it.

She had a feeling she should have been begging for forgiveness from the beginning but that was never her style.

Lilia  smiled. "My Good Sir, I'm telling you the truth when I say I don't recall what you're talking about and I don't think I'm the type to put my word on something that I don't intend to do, so how about we do this in a civilized manner. You can release me and tell me all about this deal again and you can tell me who you are and the terms and conditions that apply. What do you say?"

The man smiled. It could have overturned the world. He could have been the world leader with those looks. Unfortunately, Lilia  was certain he was the least bit happy.

He leaned closer to her, his nose just a few millimeters from her face. There was quietness in his voice the next time her spoke. "If you always keep your word, whether or not you remember won't be important to keeping the deal."

What kind of logi-

Lilia  did not have time to fully ponder the words that left his mouth when a cold hand rested on her cheek. The small distance between her face and his closed. He grasped her lip between his. She was stunned. What was the deal again? Her hands were stuck firmly at her sides while his other hand moved to the curve of her waist.

The only part of her body she could move was her mouth. She was being taken advantage of. She bit down on his lip until she broke flesh and the coppery taste of blood filled her mouth. He did not let go. Instead, he bit her back and used his tongue to lick her wounds. She remembered she wasn't breathing too late.
