It has been two weeks since I was thrown into this world by the cat god. The good thing was, I hadn't died yet. The cat gods probably laughing at me... I'm kind of embarrassed to say but probably the only reason I survived this long was because of the beast, or now known as, Diana. I didn't just give her that name because it was the first thing that popped in my head.
Diana was the name of the goddess of the hunt and wild animals. She's proven her skills as a hunter but also as the leader in this forest. All the strange creatures seem to respect or fear her. They either move out of the way when she's coming or run completely out of the area. Speaking of her hunting skills, during the first week I made sure next time when she comes back with a dead animal to have a fire Started first.
I was able to create a nice warm fire with help from the knowledge I collected from my Boy Scout years, I miss those days. Diana didn't seem to like it at first but after she ate some of the freshly cooked meat. she kind of preferred it even though she still eats raw meat... most of the time. she did start to eat a few berries here and there. After these two weeks I've finally started to understand her body language.
She was like an over protective mother with really, really bad anger issues. It seemed like she understood what I was saying most of the time... it's kind of freaky. I also managed to make the cave more homey. I made myself a nice bed out of grass. I made a fire pit with some carved wooden stakes to cook the meat on.
I had craved out some areas in a huge crystal with a rock to keep some herbs and berries I thought safe enough to eat or use. It kind of looked like shelves on a wall. I one time brought in a mushroom that was really pretty and had tons of different colors all over it like red and pink. Diana quickly took it from me and ran out of the cave. When she came back she growled at me in a very harsh manner.
I could guess that the mushroom was poisonous from the way she quickly took it from me. I was also successfully able to get the chain on my ankle off! I was able to use a rock and repeatedly smash the chain till it broke. It took three hours but I still kept preserving... During these two weeks I hadn't seen Leo once. I was hoping to see him again.
I just was desperate for human communication. Sure, I talked to Diana and occasionally a plant or an animal but I wish I had someone that would actually respond. Never mind about that, I did try and make some clothes out of the animal fur and leather from the dead animals Diana brought me. It didn't turn out well, so I just stayed in my own dirty rags. It was to hot out in the forests for fur right now anyways.
After a two more weeks I started to learn a lot more about the forest, the creatures and even my kind. I felt my animal instinct start to come out more. when Diana is coming up behind me I can feel the hair on the back of my neck stand up. My sense of smell was fascinating, I could smell berry's a mile away. I could smell if a creature had cross my path, or even the scent of humans occasionally.
Though most of those smells had faded out a while ago. My eyes are sharper as well and I could see in the dark. At the fifth week humans had came back into the forest. I made sure to watched from afar so they couldn't see me. it looked as if they were looking for something.. as to what I have no idea.
One of them had really expensive armor on, is a male with bright blond hair that went down to his mid back but was put into a lose ponytail. He had a lean, very shiny sword on his back. He looked to be in his 20s. while another one had beautiful robs with marks on it. They had a staff in their hand and as I could see from afar they were female with bright orange hair that was cut into a bob.
she looked to be about 15 or 16. she's probably not that young though because it takes a long while to study, learn and help strengthen their magic enough to actually do something.. the staff just helps manage and control that power. Another was a big guy with shoulder plates, knee plates, and a huge sword on their back that could easily chop me in half. They had green clothing on underneath the plates with black hair cut into a short hair cut.
He had a huge scare that went across his nose and another on his cheek. he could be in his 30s but I'm guessing 20s. One of the other guys had light brown hair that was pushed up. He also had a huge backpack on with a red bandanna on his forehead to keep the hair out of his eyes. As I could see he didn't carry any weapons but I did see many potions around and and on his belt.
He also didn't have a... shirt on... thankfully he had pants. he did have a dark grey cap on his back that covered half of him up. he looked to be around his early 20s. he was one of the only ones that was smiling besides the big guy while talking to him. They seemed to be very close.
There was also another, but this one was covered head to toe in black cloth so none of their skin could be seen. They had a hood over their head with no armor and no weapons I could see. They had a lean build probably really swift and light on their feet. As I watched my fan boy side took over.
OMG! It's a real guild! They look so cool with their swords and cool clothing!
My face turned up into a huge grin.
I had always watched movies and series with guilds in them when I was younger. I basically grew up with anime at my side.
As I watched from behind the great huge tree. I seen the one with a hood over their head turn around quickly and looking in my direction. My eyes widen as I freeze when our eyes made contact, I felt something wrong with those eyes... they looked to be in pain.
I unfroze and pulled myself behind the tree out of sight. I put a hand cover my chest as I tried to calm my breathing.
'They seen me...'
I gulped softly as fear welded up in my chest. I seen their eyes, They were deep purple. A beautiful color but what made me scared was the malevolent intent in their eyes along with pain and sorrow.
It terrified me what they would do it we came face to face with each other. I wanted to stay and watch a real guild in action but I quickly took off away from them as the fear got the better of me. I kept running until I got back to the cave where Diana was sitting, waiting at the entrance for me. I could feel her glare from here.
"I'm sorry okay, I just wanted to take a look at them.."
I say as I look up at her, I could here her huff then give me a Giant lick on my head making my hair stick up.
I growled at her as I pushed my hair back down trying to wipe her saliva off.
"That's disgusting!"
I revolt as I looked at the slobber on my hand. I could hear Diana let out a noise that sounded sort of like a hyena then stand up on all fours and walk back into the cave. I look at her then sigh as I walk in after her.
"I'm washing this off.."
I mumbled softly as me and Diana walked into the crystal cave.
I walked over to the running spring and crouched down next to it. I look at the dirty face looking back at me, I sighed then got up and walked over to a huge crystal. I looked at the berries and herbs i put in the carved places I made in the crystal. I huffed then looked over at Diana.
"Did your eat some of the berries I stocked up on?"
I asked while crossing my arms looking at her as she licked her paw.
she glanced at me then laid her head down on her paws facing away from me. I sighed harshly.
"Fine, I'll go get more then..."
I grabbed a small basket I crusaded from vines and headed for the exit. I could hear Diana growl in protest, I didn't even look back at her.
"Don't worry, I'm going to the west side of the forest away from them."
I say casually then walk out of sight from the upset Diana.
