Chapter 11 - Chapter 11. Ashford

It was dark, There was no light besides the small sliver of the suns rays that came from the window which the blue curtains covered. Even in the dark, one could see the huge luxurious room. There was a huge bed in the center, back of the room. It had dark blue covers, with golden frills at the bottom of the bed. The dark blue drapes on each side of the bed kept anyone from seeing what or who was on the bed. The rest of the room was Magnifique, with a chandelier, a walk in closet, a huge in ground pool that was meant to be a bath. But The thing that stood out the most out of everything was the huge set of armor and sword leaning against the wall in the corner that shimmered in the sun light. The room was silent but it was broken by the huge golden beautifully carved door that lead out of the room gently opened. The floating chandelier turned on vanquishing the darkness, lighting up the entire room. The walls were completely white but had a few symbols carved in gold on them. In the middle of the door way stood a tall older woman. By the looks of it she seemed to be around 50 years old. she had a soft smile on her face as her dark brown grayish hair draped on her shoulders. Her light golden eyes darted around the room before looking at the huge bed. she let out a soft huff but kept a smile on her face. She had on a long long frilly black skirt with what looked to be a white apron tied around her waist. She walked gracefully over to the bed, her shoes tapping on the ground.

"My prince, you do realize you missed breakfast."

Her voice came out in a soft, mother like tone that would ease any soul that heard it. A tired groan came from the bed as she pulled back the dark blue drapes allowing the light to shine down on the person in the bed. The prince quickly pulled the covers over his head in order to block out the sun. A mumble could be heard from under the sheets causing the elder woman to sigh. She shook her head gently and decided to leave him alone for a second. She turned around and looked over at the curtains. she walked over to them leaving the side of the bed. Her hands grabbed the edges of the curtains then pulled them back out of the way of the sun light. Her smile brightened.

"You have a two meetings today. One with your father, another with the princess of the Pogalla kingdom."

Another groan could be heard from the bed when the the woman said that. She sighed knowing that he wasn't excited for it. she turned around and walked back to the bed.

"It will be okay my prince. You just need to be a gentleman and talk to her."

Her voice held reassurance as she gently grabbed the sheets and gently pulled on them.

"I doubt that Amira... 'That' princess is not a easy person to talk too."

Amira sighed softly as her smile vanished and was pulled into a straight line.

"Please my prince, do this for the king and queen."

The bundle on the bed laid still for a few seconds but then started to unfold. The prince slowly sat up in the bed and looked over at the elder woman with tired eyes.

"Fine, but I'm not doing this for them."

The prince had dark black raven hair with side bangs that went down to his ears and went over his piercing blue eyes. his face was stone cold as he looked at the woman but then turned his eyes to the ground. he put his feet on the cold stone floor and got up off the bed revealing his clothing. He had on a baggy white button up shirt with some nice pants on like he had come back from a party. Amira looked down and backed away from the prince in respect but The side of Amira's mouth turned up slightly when the prince showed cooperation.

"Would you like me to ask the kitchen to fix you anything my prince?"

The prince didn't look at her as he stumbled over to the bath/pool door way.

"Some fruit will be fine."

The door closed as soon as he said that leaving Amira alone in the room. Her smile turned to that of a frown, her golden eyes drooped as she let out a tired sigh. She turned slowly and walked out of the room closing the door behind her and started towards the kitchen.

{back with James}

"HOW DO YOU DO THIS?!"

My voice echoed through the entire forest as my body tensed in anger and aggravation. I could practically feel Diana's smugness from here. I sighed and rubbed my hand over my face. I glanced at the pile of fish in front of Diana as she ate some of them while watching me. I had been at this for two and a half hours but I was still unable to catch anything... that was alive. I looked up, breathing in and out softly.

"I can do this.. I just need to stay calm."

I clenched the dull tipped spear in my hand as I spoke. I glared at the water in front of me and slowly lifted the spear up in my hand as I waited for a target. After a few minutes an unsuspecting little fish started to swim in my sights. The side of my mouth turned up as I got a good feeling about this one. As I aimed at the fish, I waited for it to get a little closer then... I threw the spear quickly into the water. The water fogged up and I swiftly made my way into the some what cold water over to my spear. I grabbed it and pulled it out of the water only for my smile to fall.

"A STICK! REALLY!"

As I throw my spear on solid ground in fury, in the water the fish I was trying to kill could be seen swimming away calmly with a smug atmosphere around it.
