Right after I said my name I could see surprise cross his features but it quickly vanished just as fast as it came.
"It's nice to meet you Rune, My name is Gaius Laurier, I am the healer here."
I nodded slowly in thought, he's probably also the one that governs this place.
If I can remember from all the animes and fantasy I've read and watched. The elder in an elven village is usually the one that leads since they are considered the most wisest. Some bigger villages or cites have a elder council, those in the council consist of war veterans, magical users, or any elder that has done something to be appointed in the council.
He's a healer (a green magic user) also so that would add evidence to my theory but I can't be to sure right now... I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts by a hand waving in front of my face. The elder put his hand down and chuckled softly.
"I'm assuming you have many questions. I will answer as many as I can."
The elder stated respectfully making me smile brightly, I can get all of my questions about this world answered! I nodded my head rapidly as I opened my mouth and began to fire off questions.
"Are you perhaps the leader of this place?"
The elder smiled making more wrinkles to appear on his face.
"Yes, I am but not for long because my daughter will be taking over soon."
I looked at him in confusion before asking another question.
"Is it normal for the title of leader to be passed down through a single family in elven villages or cites?"
He chuckled again making me rethink what I said before looking down in embarrassment.
"Yes, but not just with my kind. Many other villages and cites do this as well, take your kind for example. The Demi humans usually have one leader and they pass their title down to one of their children. If they don't have children then they pick someone capable to take on their role or adopt."
I nodded while taking in the information, so their are cites of Demi humans? I'll need to visit one if I can... I shook my head as I realized my thoughts was getting off track.
"Could you tell me where your village exactly is?"
I asked in a soft, nervous voice as I watched the man pull out another drawer in the night stand. To my surprise it had some really nice clothes, he pulled them out and gently set them on my lap.
"We are in the human part of Drogia."
My head flopped to the side a bit in confusion.
"What's Drogia?"
The mans face turned to that of confusion.
"Drogia is what we call the whole world in that we live in. I am sorry if am being rude but, How do you not know this?"
I could feel my sweat falling like rain drops as I tried to come up with a white lie to fool him with then an idea came to mind. My hand went to the back of my neck as I sheepishly looked at the elder.
"I... I kind of don't remember anything besides my name."
The elders face morphed to that of concern making me feel a little guilty.
"I guess you must have lost your memories in the fall. No worries I'll help answer all your questions."
I smiled brightly.
"Thank you!"
The man just chuckled and gently asked me to continue to ask any questions I have.
"What's the name of the human part of Drogia?"
The elder simply answered my question.
"We call it Pogalla, it was named after the first ruler of the humans."
I nodded again.
"What's the other species that rule in Drogia?"
The elder thought for a second then started to explain.
"Well, we have the humans, who live in Pogalla. The elves, my kind along with fairies, and sylphs, who live in Eaerlann. My village has a treaty with the king of Pogalla so we live here. Then your kind, the Demi humans, spirits, and many mythical creatures, who live in Khesian. The demons, devils, dragons, vampires, and werewolves, who live in Drogia. Though I hear the dragons are trying to get a kingdom of their own. I personally think they should, dragons shouldn't be with devils. Their intelligent and usually peaceful creatures that—"
I raised an eye brow with wide eyes and tilted my head in interest but I guess he thought I was wanting him to get back on track cause he seen my movements and snap out of his information rant. He coughs into his fist as he gets back on track.
"R-Right... The mermaids and mermen along with other sea creatures who live in Weobia. Then the Dwarfs along with ogres, and goblins who live in Dwarnian. There are many other species out there that have their own villages but those are the main kingdoms."
I sat there, eyes wide as I listened to him speak, felt my heart thump against my chest. So many things and people I can learn from in this world. This... THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!
I jumped slightly as I heard the elder start to cough.
"I will gladly answer more of your questions later but for now I suggest you get dressed and get some sleep. We will talk more tomorrow."
I nodded softly as I watched him get up pulling the huge log back over to the desk. He didn't look back as he closed the door leaving me in silence.
I look down at the clothes in my hands and sigh, they were blue almost as bright as my eyes but just a bit darker. They also had some of the symbols I seen on the wall painted on them.
The clothes consisted of a flowing cloak that shimmered in the moon light, along with some loose dark brown pants and a dark loose shirt that hung off my shoulders. I sigh as I look down at the clothes that are now on my body.
It was a lot warmer but I had to keep the Pants lower so my tail wasn't confined. I wrapped the cloak around me and laid down on the wooden bed. I sigh looking at the nicely carved wall as my tail wrapped around me and I realized...
I didn't even ask how I got here...
Why am here...
Or
Who shot me...
Damn it!
