A soft hum could be heard deep in the forest as someone walked under the canopy of huge trees full of different flowers and fruit. Some poisonous while others just as sweet as a strawberry. It was a beautiful morning, the grass and tress wet from the morning dew making it shimmer in the light from the sun. I continued to him happily I made my way through the forest sniffing for the sweet delicious scent of berries. The basket made of vines in my hand was very light which it wasn't going to be in a few moments when I found those berries. Where could they be? My eyes scanned the area as I looked around for a few berry bushes. A soft whine escaped my lips, they were here just yesterday. I looked through bushes, around trees, and I even climbed up a tree to get a better view but still nothing! I hopped back down on the ground with my empty basket in tow. My face morphed into that of dejection, a mopey sigh came from my mouth as I turned around to try and look in another part of the forest. That would mean I have to get closer to that guild of people... that one person with the piercing purple eyes sent shivers down my spine. They were trouble and I plan to stay as far away from them as a I can, I shook my head as I thought. I'll just head back to the cave, it's safer to wait until those people are gone. As I was about to start walking back to the cave I caught a hint of something in the air. Sweet... delicious... Berries! I turned my body around quickly and start to speed walk to where the smell was coming from. I just knew those berry bushes didn't just disappear! The stronger the smell got the more my mood lifted. I continued to walk till I seen a clearing up ahead but as I got closer I slowly came to a stop. How... how are they here!? In the middle of the clearing was the same group of people I seen back over in the east part of the forest. THIS IS THE WEST! I seen them not even an hour ago, am I going insane? I seen the light brown haired fellow start to look over in my direction but I quickly ducked behind a bush in front of me. I looked through the bush at the group watching from afar.
"Hey do you guys fell like we are being watched?" I looked through the bush as I heard the voice coming from the light brown haired guy and at the group sitting on the ground munching on the berries I was trying to find! I clenched my hand into a fist, I really wanted those berries... I don't like eating the meat of poor bunny looking creatures all the time. I turn my attention back to the group as I seen the girl with the orange bob look over at the male that just spoke.
"Why do you feel like we are being watched Arch?" The girls voice was full of worry and confusion. she started to look around at the dark forest around them as she clutched her staff close to her. She seems like a shy girl. I don't think she could kill anything or anyone. That might give me an advantage if I get caught, though I know I won't. My gaze quickly turned over to the big guy who let out a hearty laugh as he held some berries in his hands.
"Don't worry you two. The villagers said that this forest only has small game besides the guardian, and don't forget the elves live in the forest across the meadow!" This seem to put the other two at ease as they visibly relaxed. They seem like a group that gets along but my eyes drifted to the other people that sat a little away from the others, quietly eating a few berries. The long blond haired guy with a stone cold face sighed not looking up.
"What the villagers didn't tell you is that the elves sometimes come over here to forage if they need too..." The blonds voice was calm and relaxed. he gently ate another berry as the other two became more tense and worried. I could see it on their face as the girl and the light brown haired guy looked around cautiously. The big buy tried to ease the other two but it hopeless. Everything he said the blond contradicted saying something else to get the other two worked up. I sighed as I realized I wasn't going to be getting my berries for a while. I gently backed away on all fours from the bush and clearing with my basket still in my hand. I crawled away till I couldn't see them anymore then stood up. I placed the basket on the ground then I dusted my knees and hands off. I grabbed my basket and started on my way back to the homey cave where Diana is. I didn't want to get caught by those humans... wow... I've already started to refer to humans as... well, humans. Never the less the heartless blond and scary hooded figure gave me bad vibes so I quickly made my way out of there.
