Chapter 7 - Chapter 7. Flower crown?

The cool breeze playfully flowed across the meadow making the loose colorful flower peddles dance in the air. It was beautiful, truly a sight to behold, and in the middle of the meadow laid a still body. The body slept peacefully on the lush green grass that was still slightly wet from the day before.

My breathing was soft as I laid there under the warm sun, it was nice but it was soon interrupted as I felt something touch my nose. My nose wiggled softly as I felt the thing pull away, I yawned as rolled over on my back. I stretched my hands and arms up in the air as if trying to touch the fluffy clouds that floated up in the sky. My back arched, causing me to groaned once I heard a satisfying pop come from my back. My eyes fluttered open and I gazed up at the sky. It was probably around noon right now, I sighed as I sat up slowly pulling off some petals that decided to rest on my body. My eyes gazed across the field but suddenly stopped on something in the distance. My eyes widen when I seen the head of a person, I couldn't see half of their face because they were hiding in the grass and flowers. They had light blond hair that almost looked white, along with a flower crown on their head. It was decorated with all kinds of colorful flowers from the meadow. I could only study them for a second because Once we made eye contact they disappeared, I got up, dusting myself off in a hurry. I wanted to chase after them but then again they would probably lead me to the village Leo came from. I huffed and quickly turned around and started back to the forest. That's the best cover I've got right now, out here in the open like this I could get picked off easily. I continued till I got to the forest, I sighed as I walked back into the dark forest. I wanted to stay out in the meadow and soak up some more sun but I couldn't take the chance of getting caught after all I'm not really up to being a slave. I walked deeper in the forest but made sure to keep an eye on my surroundings just in case I was being followed. I continued to sometimes stopping to see some of the strange plants and creatures along the way. One time I seen a creature that looked like a mix between a bunny and a reptile. It had the bunny shape but scales for fur with a long slender tail that came to a sharp point. On top of its head it had furry bunny ears but horns as well. As soon as I tried to get closer to the creature it turned around quickly and launched its self at me allowing me to see the huge teeth it had in its mouth. Once I dodged it, I quickly took off running around the forest getting chased by a killer bunny. I finally lost it though when I climbed up a tree hiding from it. Just thinking about those huge teeth make me shiver. I sigh as I continued walking around the forest but I slowly came to a halt when I seen something familiar on one of the huge trees. My eyes widen at what I seen, it was a heart with a J + A in the middle. It looked like it was carved out with a small pocket knife. I bring both my hands up and rub my eyes then look at the tree again but it was gone that time. Why was that there? I felt a feeling in my chest I never wanted to feel again... heartbreak. It made my chest hurt but I quickly headed away from the tree I seen that on and into a different part of the forest. It was bright and more lively, even the trees canopy couldn't keep the sun from shining down on the earth below. I could feel the warmth on my face like back in the meadow but it was soon interrupted by the sun starting to fade over the horizon. It was beautiful, the pink and orange clashed together perfectly.

'I should find a place to stay for the night.'

I continued through the forest looking for a place to house myself for the night but I couldn't find anything that wasn't already... taken. A huge sigh escaped my mouth as I stood there in the middle of the forest in Defeat. "Why does this happen to me!?" I exclaimed out loud for the whole forest to hear.
