Justin has gone to sleep, the plains were still ever expanding, and the sun was still shining bright. Shaun quietly left the compartment. He was ready... to die. He didn't think we could give up that fast be he was done. He tried to open the door to get out but it was completely shut. He slammed himself into it over and over until it finally burst open
He looked out... and it was night. They were completely stopped at an old town! Shaun ran back into the compartment... and outside the window was a bright sun and plains. How long had they been stopped? They could have gotten off so long ago! How annoying! He was almost embarrassed he was ready to... it didn't matter anymore. He shook Justin awake.
Justin's eyes cracked open "Shaun... are we finally done?" "Yes, turns out this window was an illusion, come on!" Shaun grabbed Justin by his wrist and dragged him out of the train, they hopped into the tracks and onto the platform. Just as they got off, the train took off suddenly. How strange. What was stranger was this town. All the lights in the city were shining bright but there was no one around. In front of the platforms were stalls with hot food and games, but nobody was there to manage them.
Shaun cried out "HELLO?! I ANYONE HERE?!" Silence. He ran into a nearby house, the doors were completely unlocked. All the doors were completely unlocked. It was as if they wanted them to say, if there even was anybody. It didn't matter, Shaun was so glad to be a proper bed. Justin and Shaun went into separate rooms and knocked out as soon as their heads touched the soft pillow.
Shaun woke up in a graveyard. Yet another dream, what fun things would he do here? He could grave dig, destroy the grave stones, anything. But something was different. He felt the urge to look for a specific grave, their name was Calum White. He searched all the rows but couldn't find anything. That's when Justin appeared behind Shaun. "Shaun, you need to hurry, don't worry, you won't find me here. Yet. You need to return to the real world soon, or you might find me here next time." Shaun was about to ask how, but then the ground beneath them began to crack.
"I'm sorry I can't stay much longer, but the train is they key to getting back! Look through the city! TRUST ME!"
Shaun awoke in a panic. Something in the city? What? Maybe... maybe he needed to look for clues on something? The existence of the train? Why nobody was around? He needed to know... God why couldn't he just know... did these people leave anything other than an infinite amount of food?! Maybe some sort of diary entries? Yes that could be it! He would set out tomorrow and search for answers! Finally... but for now he would sleep.
"Goodnight town, and don't worry Justin... or whoever you actually are... I'll save you."
