After an hour or so, the boys are still walking.
"How much further?...." The boys kept whining over and over...
"Whose idea was it? Huh?" Kishi said to them, not bothering to look behind. He gave a nasty smile,
"Just shut up and move your feet instead"
They have been walking for a long time now, Rex was already dragging his feet, Lune was almost collapsing, and Airi had barely keep up. Kishi, however, was walking exactly the same way he did before, but a little slower in consideration of the others. He didn't show any bit of tiredness, he just walked as the others tried hard to catch their breathes.
Not so soon after, the boys finally gave up. Rex slammed hard on the ground, panting really hard. Lune lied on the grass, arms open wide, and breathing heavily. Airi held his knees for support, while trying to catch his breath.
Kishi finally took a look at them. He seemed pissed but dare not talk, he just sighed and turned his back on them once again. But little did he expect, he found himself on the ground.
"Ouch!" he cried
He felt a slight pain behind his head. He also felt some weight, slightly above his stomach. He opened his eyes, and saw Kira sitting prettily on him.
"Kira..." he spoke in surprise
She grinned brightly at him "Welcome home.....nisan"
Utterly surprised, he hadn't spoken any more words. Airi, Rex, and Lune now stared at them. Kishi bit his lips.
"Umm...Kira....get off me"
Kira was deeply offended in what he just said. She found it that all her efforts to make surprise him were all useless. She stood up immediately and turned away.
He got to his feet and looked at her earnestly, then asked in concern
"How long have you been her? Are you lost?"
"LOST?!" She shouted in embarrassment
"Yes, lost" he repeated
The others looked at him with disappointment. How could he just say something like that to a girl who is embarrassed to admit such thing, especially now that the clues are all laid in front of him.
Kira was already red in the face yet, Kishi didn't care as if he had not noticed at all. He tilted his head, sighed, then looked at her again, and patted her head.
"Don't you worry...come on, let's go home"
He continued to walk, then Kira followed him quickly as she smiled brightly.
All the five of them were now walking through the grassy path. Kira was skipping and dancing gracefully as the lovely petals, birds and butterflies dance with her. Airi, Lune, and Rex could only watch, barely taking their eyes off her.
More petals enveloped her, and Kishi too. They both disappeared as the petals that were circling them rode the wind, and gone from sight.
"Seriously! After all this walking, we JUST figured there's an easier way of getting there!!" Rex bellowed
"Save the complains later. We better catch up to them before we get lost...this place is quite big after all." Airi told Rex, disappearing into rose petals. Lune followed, disappearing into leaves, and Rex to dandelions
They reappeared shortly after wards. Kishi and Kira was now holding each other's hand, Lune was standing perfectly, but Rex appeared over Airi, who now lay flat on the ground.
"Were here"
They all looked up an was astonished on what they saw. Petrified as the breeze grew louder, the overwhelming place had completely devoured them.
The palace was big as mountains, it stood tall and glamorous, as the blinding light reflected from its golden walls. The clouds cleared out and still, the top was unseen. Dragons and snowy birds flew around it as well as fairies, so gloriously with their golden wings.
A beautiful lawn or more accurately, a garden full every kind of flower existing. Though since winter is coming, the flowers which cannot live in the cold was replaced with the winter type ones. Large fountains are all around the garden. The impression of elegance and luxuriousness of the place was so dense and far from fascinating
The three just stood motionless as they looked at it. Kira beamed at it and glanced at her brother
"It's been quite a while now, was it?" She said cheerfully, but her voice sounded like she'll cry
Kishi nodded at her, "yeah..." he looked at Lune, Rex, and Airi, who were still unable to move and speechless as they stared at the palace
"Just so you know...the palace is made mostly out of white marble. Which means, that what your staring at right now was not gold, but only an illusion caused by the dense magic around here"
He took his leave and followed Kira who's walking fast and excitedly ahead of him.
The others are still staring, came after him with a terrible sense of distortion all over.
They had not felt this way before. They always stood at the top and surrounded with beautiful and glamorous things. But little do they expect to encounter something that they are unprepared for. Their worlds are like twisting its self, after what they had just saw. Even if Kishi said that it was only an illusion, the whole thing was real, and that fact alone was already enough to make their heads explode.
To think that something of this kind existed, not to mention there's five of them! Just how on hell are they even able to hide these things from the public. But all of these did prove one thing. It's that they are all still young and inexperienced, and haven't seen everything they thought they had yet.
