"Grandpa?" Julian asked in confusion, recognizing the voice and looking at his opponent as if it grew another head.
The other four also looked at his opponent totally confused as to what is currently happening.
The man which Julian referred to as grandpa chuckled and removed his mask confirming his identity.
"Surprise." He enthusiastically said as if nothing happened.
But even before Julian can utter a response he was cut off by loud gasps coming from the twins, Jin and Jazz.
"DAD?"
Julian creases his eyebrows and turns around seeing his dad and uncle in law in the process.
"Dad and uncle Isaic?" He then looked back towards his grandfather. "Grandpa, what is this all about?"
Their grandpa smiles and then points at the camera that is in the hallway.
They looked confused at first then suddenly realized what their grandpa meant.
"Aunt Selene." They all grunted at once.
"I knew it. That's why I feel chills on my neck when butler Zhang was informing us with aunt Selene absence." Jake exclaimed which made the rest roll their eyes with his exaggeration.
"She has mentioned about assessing you five that is why I've suggested that why not see for myself how much you guys have improved this last few months." Their grandpa explained.
Although over seventy, he still looks like someone in his fifties and is still physically fit thus he is able to fight Julian evenly or even at an advantage earlier.
Their grandfather Jeremiah Cole Rhodes, the current head of Rhode Clan is a man that exudes quite an elegant aura and seems harmless with how gentle he looks but behind that is a dangerous man that could raise hell above ground.
Their grandparents have four children. Three daughters and one son. The Eldest is their aunt Sel whose full name is Selene Jewel Rhodes and then their mothers which happen to be twins. The first one of the twins is Jin and Julian's mom Joeanna Seth Rhodes simply called Anna and then the twins and Jazz mom Johanna Seph Rhodes simply known as Hanna. Then lastly the youngest of them was their late uncle Jericho Soul Rhodes.
"Okay I get grandpa's point but how come you and uncle Nathe is here as well?" Jazz asked her father after hugging him.
"Your grandfather somehow mentioned this assessment in which Nathe and I took interest and as we're actually planning to come to visit you guys, might as well fly in here earlier. Aren't you a lot glad to see us?" Her father answered expectantly.
This man with a dashing look is Dr. Sebastian Isaic Villaneuve a renowned neurosurgeon who has contributed a lot of things into the medical world. He came from a family with a long history of doctors and is also a strong influencer towards Jazz and Jin thus they also have considered entering med school.
Though he became a member of the Rhodes clan it is not his interest to be part of their business but his father in law has bought the hospital he was working and has him manage it, reluctantly at first but he learned to enjoy it along the way.
Growing up with his grandfather who is a master of Kung Fu he was able to master its arts and become a strong fighter considering the fact that he also accepts patients from the underworld so he must be able to defend himself if worst comes to worst. It is through one of his dealing with his underworld patients that he is able to meet Hanna by coincidence.
"Of course we are happy that you guys came just a little surprise and distorted I mean it's still four in the morning. Can't your assessment wait until at the later time of the day?" Jazz whined hanging on her dad for support, the fighting earlier is finally taking it's toll on her body.
"We can but where is fun in that." Jin and Julian's dad answered patting Jazz in the head in an attempt to placate her all the while giving support to Jin who is about to collapse due to exhaustion.
Meet Atty. Nathaniel Charles Harrington, a respectable high profile lawyer from country ***** and owner of a Law Firm which has a branch in other countries as well.
He came from a family that is highly respectable and powerful. Thus with a constant threat in their family, he was raised to learn and master a different kind of martial arts making him a very skilled fighter.
Being the third son in the family he chooses to become a lawyer and establish his own law firm rather than to partake in the fight for the succession. His family engaged him with someone they chose as fitting to be his wife but he chose to break it when he met Anna estranging him from his family.
Both Nathe and Isaic didn't marry into the Rhodes clan easily. They have to go undergo various tests given by the old Rhodes and have to fight him themselves to assess if they are able to handle being part of the clan. With great determination, they were able to gain their father in law's blessing to marry his daughters. Since then they have trained more to be one of the greatest fighters.
"So where is aunt Sel then?" Jaden asked sitting on the floor while leaning on the wall.
"Monitoring at a hotel somewhere, it is true that she went to handle some business related to Emperium and by the looks of it she wasn't able to make it back home." Their grandfather said and started to fix some of the things they damaged with their fight earlier.
The rest of them tried to help but were too exhausted and aching all over to actually do anything. It was by this time when the maid servants came with some first kit, water and ice packs.
"No wonder none of the guards came earlier. With the gunshot from me and all the noises coming from here there is no way they could have not noticed it." Julian noted as they started to tend to their wounds and bruised area.
"They probably saw all the fighting as well through the cctv. Where is mom and aunt Hanna by the way?" Jin remembered to ask.
"They have some things to deal with back home so they didn't fly with us but they will be joining us in three days' time." Nathe answered his daughter.
"Grandpa, is aunt Sel really going to take over Emperium now?" Jaden has to confirm for it is no secret that their aunt didn't like to run a company and preferred to be an officer instead. Thus it was Anna and Hanna who both run Emperium and their grandfather's businesses at the same time this last few years.
"I actually don't know for sure, she did accept to fill in your grandmothers' old position though, so let's hope for the best, for now, why don't you guys go back to sleep." Their grandfather stated.
They didn't object to the idea of resting after some intense fight and bid their elders goodbye.
