One hour and thirty minutes, that's how long it took them to finally finish all twenty laps. The sun is already shining brightly when they all made it back to the house fully drenched in sweat. At least their aunt had the heart to ask some of the guards to give them some water along the way, thus they managed to make it through not dehydrated.
"You exceeded the time limit by 32 minutes and if I deduct to that the 8 minutes you've wasted complaining you would have arrived a few minutes earlier. Not bad though, I was thinking that you'll be done for more than 2 hours seeing how out of shape the 5 of you are." Selene then started assessing their state.
"Thanks to the cameras that were installed I was able to monitor you thoroughly. Julian though you've got the more stable speed among the five of you, your body is a bit stiff I think it's because you started to gain a bit of muscle, which is still not enough. Jaden your run is graceful but you can still improve your speed. Jake, you have the worst coordination. Jin you have a great beginning but along the way your speed slows down you have to learn how and when you will increase and decrease your speed and Jazz…" She paused then looked at her niece that is panting loudly.
This makes Jazz hang her head low.
"Your coordination and control in your speed is perfect but you have the lowest stamina. You need to improve that so expect your routine workout to concentrate on improving your stamina."
"I understand." Jazz mumbled.
"Alright, for now, go and take a shower don't forget to do some stretching before and after as to not strain your muscles. Mrs. Zhang will call you once breakfast is ready."
Without wasting any more time they all went to their respective rooms.
An hour later Jin was about to go downstairs when she noticed that the door at Jaden's door is ajar that's why she went to check on him only to see him looking a bit lost.
"Hey, are you okay?"
This makes Jaden startled. After regaining his senses back he looked at her and smiled. "Yeah, I'm okay I was just thinking how... I mean not that I am being over concern here…"
"You are…" Jin cut him off.
"Right, it's just that I'm worried people might recognize me especially that I will be at a public place and will be encountering a lot of individuals being myself." Jaden finally admitted to being worried.
"I have no problem with the hair thankfully I have dyed it to black before flying over here I will just have to cut it later as it is quite long. I also have a series of glasses to use but I don't think that would be enough to cover up."
Understanding the situation Jin had an idea and went out of his room and went to Jazz room without knocking startling the later who is in the middle of combing her hair.
"Holy ***** Jin, ever heard of knocking?" She sarcastically told her cousin.
Jin did not answer, instead she went and pulled her without warning.
"Yah couz what are you doing… ouch!" She tries resisting by pulling her hand but Jin's grab is tight that's why she just lets the later drag her.
"Hey, why are we going to Jaden's room?" She wondered but received no response.
Only when they entered her brothers' room did Jin answer her. "He needs your help. He needs a beard."
"Okay, well he could just grow them. I mean he's a man for crying out loud." Jazz rolled her eyes and was about to go back to her room when Jin pulled her back.
"Now." Jin countered.
It took a while before Jazz finally got a grasp as to what Jin meant when she said Jaden needed a beard.
"Ohhhhh… I see. That's no problem." She runs back to her room to retrieve the items that she will be needing.
One minute later she came back with her kit that contains materials needed for disguises as well as various makeup.
"Let's see…" she checked her supplies of fake beard and looked for something that would fit her brother.
"Perfect…" She squealed later on. "So why does he need a beard now if I may ask?"
"Because he is fussing that people might recognize him if he starts to work at the hospital. So while waiting for his natural beard to grow he would need to use a fake one in the meantime." Jin explained.
Among the 5 of them, Jazz is the one that is marvelous at creating various kinds of disguise because of her fondness of cost playing and makeup thus the reason why she was pointed to be Lexi's personal makeup artist.
10 minutes later she is already done and quite pleased with the result of her work. Jaden now looks a little hard to recognize from how he looked earlier and especially how he looked eight years ago due to the addition of beard and nerd glasses.
"Oh wow, I couldn't quite recognize myself for a second there." Jaden keeps checking his face in the mirror and he is impressed at how real the work of his sister is.
"Hey, Mrs. Zhang said breakfast is… whoa… what are you ladies doing here?" Julian stops on his track upon seeing both Jazz and Jin in Jake's room.
"Bro do you… ahhhh why is everybody here?" Jake also stops upon seeing everyone in his twin's room. "And you look weird." He then afterwards criticized his brother's appearance.
"You're the one to talk." Jazz eyed her other brothers taste of disguise.
"I'm worried that people might recognize me at the hospital so Jin here has an idea that I should have a beard and asked Jazz to attach one." Jaden answered.
"And that's why we're here. Julian came here to tell us that breakfast is ready. Now, why are you here?" Jazz asked.
"Oh right, I almost forgot. Do you have a black suit? I only brought 3 suits and it's all 'blindingly colorful' as aunt Sel described and told me to wear a black one for my interview instead." Jake asked Jaden.
"You're lucky I happen to have one." Jaden chided his brother for having suits that are as colorful as the rainbow.
"Well, I'm hungry. I'm going to go ahead and have breakfast." Jin announced.
"Wait I go with you, and Jaden though the glue I used for the beard are waterproof it's best if you don't stay too long under the sunlight and sweat a lot for it can deform the fake skin I attacked around your beard." She reminded her brother before pulling Jin down the kitchen.
"What the hell are you wearing?" Selene asked Jake who is coming down the stairs.
"A black suit just as you said?" Jake answered confused as to why his aunt is scrutinizing him yet again.
"I can see that, you brat, but what are you thinking wearing a polka dot tie?" His aunt scandalously said.
"And a bright red one if I might add." Julian snickered they are all currently in the living room.
"But aunt Sel…" Jake started to protest but was stopped by Selene.
"No more but's, go change that sinful tie into something appropriate for an interview…"
"But…"
"NOW!" Selene shouted making Jake run back towards his room.
Jaden, Jazz, and Julian all laughed even though Jin managed to crack a little smile.
After Jake finally manages to wear a decent tie he and Jaden headed off to their appointment for the day leaving the three at the house. Selene asked Tristan to drive them to their destination.
As Jaden needed a haircut he was dropped off at the mall. Meanwhile, Tristan dropped off Jake a few blocks away from Pristine as a precaution since he should appear as a regular applicant. Being dropped off by a luxurious car would surely raise some suspicion.
He then walked for about 10 minutes before finally arriving in front of Pristine's building.
"Here goes nothing." He whispered as he walked through the entrance.
