Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Michael was so frustrated when he left the office that a stray tear fell from his eyes but he quickly wiped it away. He headed straight to the shooting range to take his anger out.

There he was going to imagine shooting Felix then he would imagine that he was watching him beg for his life while he humiliates him the same way he did to him.

Felix had watched the whole conversation between Bertha and Michael on his computer.

He had a camera everywhere in his company but his security viewed them all. It was their job to do so and he made sure that they took it seriously because he wanted their eyes everywhere in his company. He didn't want to be betrayed or worst still used by his own workers.

The only camera the securities didn't have access to was the cctv in his secretary's office and it was because he trusted her so much and he did not want her privacy to be invaded on. He also did not want her to feel sad or uncomfortable in her own office.

So the link to her office was left in his office in case of emergencies like when he wanted to know how his investors react to news given to them and how they spoke to his secretary. He didn't want anyone of them being rude to her for any reason, whatsoever.

Even though she was a secretary she was still human.

He rarely ever watched it though, but now he couldn't fight the urge to.

When Michael angrily left his office Felix immediately switched on his laptop to watch how Michael's reaction would be as he walked out.

As expected Michael looked all sad and gloomy. It tugged at Felix's heart to watch not just because Michael was sad but that he was the reason why he was gloomy.

He wanted to rush out, to correct his wrong but fear kept him rooted to his sit. He placed his elbows on the desk and watched with fear.

When Bertha started to make excuses for him he couldn't have been more grateful to her for her understanding_ that was exactly what he loved the most about her. How she seemed to be the only one who truly understood him and looked passed his horrible mask.

He was feeling hopeful that maybe, just maybe she would be able to convince Michael that he was not as cold as he thought him to be.

Even though on his own part he had done nothing to help correct the impression Michael must have had about him before walking into his office. He had foolishly confirmed the rumors about him and it was all because he was so afraid. Too in tune with his heart. Too weak.

He may have grown past the little fat boy Michael saved but whenever he thought of Michael, whenever he was near him that little fat boy who was so shy to speak to Michael rears his stubborn head out and torments him.

He makes him do things he ends up regretting and he didn't know how to control himself.

Hearing all Michael had said about him hurt him so much he buried his head on his hand. As expected Bertha could not successfully convince Michael of his goodness when he had done everything bad to him.

He was so frustrated now. Why did he act so cold? Why couldn't he control himself?

Damn it!

Felix sighed.

"God! I keep making things bad for my self!" He screamed in anguish.

What was wrong with him? What!

How the hell was he going to correct this wrong that he had so awfully committed against himself. He thought, shaking his head.

He exhaled in frustration and rested his head on his chair, then he looked up at the ceiling.

He had to do something to remedy the situation. He knew that he had to but he didn't know what to do.

"What does Michael want the most? And what can I give out in abundance?" Felix thought as he counted the chandelier diamonds in his head. It was a way he had developed to keep him calm. Counting.

"What?"

He was thinking and thinking until the answer hit him like a bomb. "Money. Yes. Money."
