After successfully intimidating the mortals, he disappeared and left them to stir in their own fear.
He returned to the position that he left the former key at. Currently the crappy god did not show signs of movement and this caused Tezcatlipoca to be surprised.
He didn't intend to kill the little mutt, it was an important study material.
"This is a seriously weak ass god..."
The corpse of said god: .....Even when dead, people still insult it.
He never intended to kill the punny little thing and from his previous search he knew that it was closely related to a primordial god. Tezcatlipoca should be considered the same generation as the mutt.
"But why is it so weak?", pondered Tezcatlipoca. The closer a god originated form a primordial, the stronger the blood line, the stronger the power it should have.
He took out his divine mirror and conducted a scan again. He started to fully immerse himself in a deep mediative state. The use of the all knowing mirror required massive amount of concentration.
While Tezcatlipoca was concentrating, the key that he plucked from the mutt was starting to fluctuate. The requirement of the mirror where strict, so Tezcatlipoca was not able to sense this as he was busy channeling his powers to operate the mirror.
The key was fighting the seal that contained it! It wanted to be free, if had enough being controlled! It didn't want to see his children under the rule of a man sacrificing god. It has had enough!
The seal stood strong. The key kept ramming its formless body against an invisible barrier. It grew desperate and agitated. It was angry and wanted to break its bonds. It has dreamed of this for millennia. For some reason when it was in the crappy gods body, it sensed a deep connection, but once Tezcatlipoca tore it away form the punny god, it was alarmed. It didn't want to be separated from it, but it was powerless.
When it saw that its new owner let down his guard and was near its previous host, it saw hope!
Alas, the seal was too strong..... But! It was far weaker than before. Perhaps it was due to it switching inhabitants multiply times in a short period, or due to long span of time it has been sealed, but it was able to poke a hole!
A wisp of it body started to flow towards the corpse of the god. Like a thin thread it slowed integrated it self with the punny creature.
Its plan was to slowly transfer as much as it can thought the hole it created in the seal. Its plan was succeeding, but Tezcatlipoca was slowly coming out of his mediative state!
The key had no time left! It couldn't transfer that much or that quickly. Using every last once of its power it compelled itself to transfer more of its essence to the mutated little thing faster.
Panicked and in a dire situation, unknown power allowed it to make the tiny hole in the seal bigger! In fact the seal started to fracture! Suddenly the tiny tread of mist started to gush out and head towards the punny god!
As a tenth of it was successfully transferred a dark mist suddenly restricted the flow. The key was surprised and shocked by this sudden intervention.
"I was carless....", said a deep voice.
It was Tezcatlipoca! He had recovered just in time! Using his authority over darkness the mist acted as a deterrence and pushed the key's formless body back into the seal.
"NOOO! NOOOOOO!", panicked the key.
Tezcatlipoca manipulated the darkness and formed a ball like case that enveloped the seal the key was in, It served as a bandaid and successfully covered up the damage of the pervious seal. Like slapping duck tape on a leak, the transfer of power was halted.
While it seemed like all hope was lost, the key had another move! A portal of unknown origin started to appear near the frail little god.
Like a vacuum cleaner sucking up trash the portal swiftly pulled the trashy god into itself!
Only..... it was a tad bit small!
The key miscalculated! While it broke the seal and regained some control over the laws of the universe, it could only manage to open a tiny portal.
Currently the punny god only had half of it body thought the portal. Its huge wings were in the way....
Tezcatlipoca smiled and hurriedly rushed towards the mutt that was stuck. Tezcatlipoca thought he had truly made a close one. If he hadn't stoped the key from transferring, he would lose the right to control the law of the world, thus rendering all his had work null.
Luckily he was able to stop it. As his hand approached to grab the weakling god, a strange phenomenon happened.....
Almost as if sensing its impending doom the dame little thing somehow activated its power!
What Tezcatlipoca saw as the punny god slipped though the portal was a unconscious little body of a mouse.....
What happened!?!?!? How did the mutated mutt suddenly turn into a mouse.?!? How did it even have any power when it was dead? He felt greatly wronged and thought the sneaky little thing was pretending to be dead.
All he could do was question himself this over and over as the size of the punny god's form was more than enough to slip through he portal.
Tezcatlipoca was enraged! The key was overjoyed and like it had lost all it energy it no longer showed any sign of movement. I quietly went back to a formless tool with no conscience.
Tezcatlipoca starred at the key and swore to himself that he would triple the strength of the seal and never let something like this happen again.
Roaring in rage, his authority fluctuates and the sky starts to alternate from night and day in flashes. Much like flicking the lights on and off, currently it was a bright day in one second and then they were plunged into the darkness of the night in another.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently the necromancer and his allies where given grunt work to guiding the humans on how to perform sacrifices and worship their new god.
When suddenly every one felt the anger of Tezcatlipoca! Day turned into night and night into day in a matter of moments.
"We get it! You can turn it into day or night already, no need to scare us anymore!"
This bizarre action of Tezcatlipoca greatly confused the mortals. Didn't he make his point already? Never the less this historic event of Tezcatlipoca turning the light switch of the world on and off, was recorded. This also incorporated into his legend and myth, thus granting him the association of the controller of day and night.
Tezcatlipoca only intended to claim back his position as a sun god, but unexpectedly he still managed to retain his old position as well. A frivolous action he did in a fit of anger actually benefited him greatly, but we would only come to know of this later...
The mortals still had some fight in them, but witnessing the almighty god preform the phenomenon, they had been totally submitted to his rule in fear.
While the mortals were clueless the necromancer and his allies knew something had gone wrong.
