"Eh?", the stifled pharaoh quickly received a divine message.
After that whole fiasco he was back to duties as a king and he was busily signing papers and approving things such as laws, construction, and various tasks when he received this "important message".
The pharaoh was already bored out of his mind and secretly wished he could dissipate into nothing if he could escape his duties, but with this message some action was bound to happen!
When he got the message,"..."
The pharaoh's secretary already noticed the pharaoh's reaction and was simply waiting for the king to relay the god's message.
When the pharaoh finally told the secretary the message of the gods after a few shocked moments of pause, the secretary was also confused, "...Just what could this mean, sire?"
"Sigh, i don't know, i don't know, a god's thoughts are beyond us mortals….", the pharaoh could only follow instruction and he put aside his current plans to do as he was told.
Even as the gods champion and most trusted mortal, for the first time in his life the Pharaoh started to think of converting to some other religion.
------------------------------------------------------
The next few days all projects were abruptly paused and the pharaoh issued various orders and the temple was built.
After the temple was built and the message was sent of a new god emerging. Along with it the appearance of their ruler god the head honcho of their world! After the disappointing light show the citizens never were able to properly see the god in all their glory.
At the present a large crowd was gathered in front of this new temple and many were gossiping with excitement.
"My children….. Our divine realm is lucky enough to inhabit a brilliant phoenix!!!", a grand voice suddenly speaks out.
It was Horus!!!! Many of the mortals idolized him as their supreme leader and they quickly clamored in excitement.
"Lord Horus!!!!!", many citizens chanted with adoration and reverence.
Once the voice speaks out the gods started to show their presence! Along with Horus, his advisor and mother made an appearance as well.
Both Horus and Thoth took on human forms with avaiean heads while Isis was totally human. Their brilliant leader showed off his warrior spirit, Thoth had the presence of a great scholar, but Isis for some reason, they could feel great distress from her.
In her hands lay a slumbering little bird of unknown species. In the face of their gentle goddess the people saw her bitter and sorrowful face and instantly felt pity for her. They were compelled to do whatever it takes to make her happy again.
They thought that the little thing was the source of her sadness, they instinctively wanted to end it.
The little chick: ......
Isis: "I'm trying to save it not kill it!"
Little did she know that showing the little bird would backfire.
"The priests have been talking about some new god, that must be it!",apparently some gods were gossiping about it and inconsequently their own champions and priests heard it from their mouths and the people who came to worship the gods heard it from the priests and the news spread like wildfire.
Horus started to introduce the little thing and started a grand speech and started to speak some pleasantries. Naturally this is to generate good will and show the gods support of adopting the little bird.
However when they saw the little thing the crowd started to clamor in discussion.
"The gods are telling us to worship that little thing…?", several citizens looked at each other with
hesitation, but they didn't mind it too much. It was ordered by the pharaoh and the gods and they are to follow it without question. They would do as they were told but being told to worship and actually worshiping is another thing.
"Isn't it the little bird that lord Isis took a liking too?"
"It looks quite weak…."
"I heard it was a phoenix!"
"It doesn't look anything like the legends say…."
"I heard it was from a different realm!"
"Ehhhhh! Is that really a good idea to bring in a foreing being?", the citizens were not clueless of the countless worlds and different realms out there and previous incidents of spies and invasions have occurred so this conclusion was not unwarranted.
The crowd was getting restless with questions, but they dare not ask the almighty god. They could only brew in their own curiosity. Even in the presence of the gods the mortals can't help, but cause a ruckus.
Horus was still in the middle of his speech, but he could already sense that chaos was spreading within the crowd. He thought perhaps it was spies from his detested uncle, Set, who induced this reaction, but nonetheless it made it increasingly hard to integrate the little phoenix as it seems that they aren't willing to accept the god.
The great almighty god was actually overthinking it, they just think the little thing was too weak to earn their recognition. Looks like it's the end of our little main character.
"Calm down, calm down. Its not unheard of integrating a god.", amidst the commotion a wise voice sliced through the rukus of a dozen arguments.
It was a man in rags and while he looked like a beggar, his voice had a mysterious effect that made others listen to him.
The crowd was silenced and they all simultaneously turned to look at the old man. Nobody could see his face as it was hidden underneath his hood.
"This is the will of Ra. It is the will of destiny! It has been ages since any of our worlds have been graced with a mythical beast such as a phoenix."
"In our realm they have nearly gone extinct compared to the other realms who have dozens of these beautiful creatures."
Their world was filled with gods, but it wouldn't be bad to fill the world with more wonders and magical things to liven up the place. Many were starting to get convinced and didn't want to lose out to the the other realms
"Anyway the little thing is quite adorable and would definitely do no harm."
At that statement many citizen nodded in agreement, "Yeah it was too weak"
The mysterious man in rags easily change the flow of the conversation in minutes! He over turned the image of the god that was viewed as a weakling into a harmless mascot. The very thing that made the citizen think was a demerit turned into a safeguard. While it was a foreign being it was pretty weak looking.
"Yeah it probably wouldn't do much harm....", many citizen started to think.
The little birdy god: you bastards! If I wasn't asleep….. humph!
