It was a quick time skip. Date: 11/19/2022
It's been a month since my father started teaching us, and everything has been going good. We're learning new things about our powers all the time. Caleb can not only manipulate water, and ice, but manipulate his and other people's blood by manipulating the water molecules in the blood. Though he swore to not use the power unless we're up against a really tough opponent. Janet discovered she can make other people, or things, turn invisible at will. She can also levitate herself up into the air and float around. She is just like the Invisible Woman, from the Fantastic Four.
Reeve cannot just grow or shrink, but he can grow certain body parts. Then there's Josh, whose powers were not what we expected at first. He can somehow make anything he touches, into anything else. It turns out, his powers work by scrambling his DNA so he can become anything he thinks about. So, he passes his DNA through something and makes it into anything he thinks about. It's all crazy and he kinda reminded me of the hero, Firestorm from DC.
It's been fun having these powers and finding out what else we can do with them. But the best thing has to be how well we are doing with our combat training. Like how I combined my power with Caleb's by having Caleb make a giant block of ice, and I heat it and create a mist attack to blind the enemy. Then I throw a fire barrage into the mist and attack the enemy. Or how Josh makes a random item a heavy metal and Jack throws it. Not to mention the combination where Janet makes Reeve float around while she is fighting, and he is tiny, then she throws him and he becomes enormous or grows a body part then attacks the enemy.
It was all fun training and stuff, it felt like a video game and we were the characters leveling up. However, after another day of training, an alarm goes off. We didn't know what was going on, but we all ran toward the Main Hall and got stopped by my father as he presented to us with something we didn't think we would be getting for a while. Superhero costumes, all nicely designed and matched the color scheme we each had going. I didn't get it at first, but then my dad explained, "This is an emergency, please put these on and sit down in your designated seats. Oh, and sorry I didn't prep you guys for this, just hurry and wait." We all nodded and went to our dorms quick and changed into these costumes. Which we all looked awesome in.
With our costumes on, we ran to the Main Hall and sat down in chairs that had our names engraved on. As soon as we all sat down, a giant TV screen turned on and we saw Mr. Electron, as he started to explain what was happening.
He started by acknowledging us, "Hello Heroes" and we replied, "Hello Mr. E" he smiled and continued the explaining of what's going on. "Well, I'm going to be blunt with you, there has finally been villain activity after ten years. And it's coming from somewhere in Suburb City." We all looked at him with excitement and glee. We were about to go fight our first villain, and save a city in the process. It was very exciting and thrilling, but something was bothering all of us. So, I asked for all of us, "What's with the new costumes, not that we're complaining, but why?" He answered, "For a couple of reasons, like how they each hold a special ability to help out in combat. And how they each have a part that covers your faces to hold your secret identity." We understood, and we got our objective so we got up then ran to the teleporter.
And with that, we teleported away
