Let's go back a bit and let me say something that I forgot to mention before.
When my dad explained how he met this woman, he got a picture of her and he kept it with him at all times. So, when the time comes, he could try to find her and try to get her to explain what happened before they banned superheroes from the place. But due to poor inconvenience, he couldn't find her, So he gave me the photo so while I was in Japan I could hopefully find her. Well, I found her, but It's crazy how all these scenarios are keep coming up in our journey. However, in this case, it could be our benefactor because this woman knows the building and can help us out with finding the Sonic Replicator. So, we need to find a way to get her to help us, without her knowing that we plan to steal something.
So, with a voice modulator turned on, Another feature in our costumes, voice modulators that make you sound like a completely different person. I opened the door and entered the room, and said, "Uh, Hello, and please don't freak out." She gets a little startled but is okay. Then she asked, "Who are you?" I answer, "My name's Inferno, I'm here to find something, but I have something to ask. Do you know of a hero who can manipulate fire?" She looks at me and says, with a nervous voice, "Yes...he saved my life when this building was under attack about two decades ago." I look at her and said, "Dang, that's a long time ago. Anyway, let me show you something." I took a step back, and I activate my Fire Form. She steps back even further, then asks, "Are you...his son?" I nod my head and then I ask, "So, I don't think I caught your name." She says, "Oh, sorry, my name is Changying Zhao." I looked at her and said, "Changying, doesn't that mean, Flourishing?" She looks at me and said, "Yes, how did you know that?" I answered, "I used to know someone with that same name." I look at her and thought to myself that she was a pretty nice looking woman, especially for someone her age.
I then signaled Reeve to come in after clearing the air a little. With him here, I ask him to show his power now, and he did by enlarging his head. Changying starts to freak out, and then she faints. I use my heat to wake her up and have Reeve deactivate his powers, then she thankfully starts to come to. So, I ask if she was okay and she answers, "I am, but please don't let your brother do that again in front of me." I look at her, and then Reeve, and I respond, "He's not my brother, but he is my teammate. His name's Argonaut." She looks at me, surprised, and then asks, "But how then, I thought your powers were genetic. And, are you implying, that there's more of you?" We looked at her, then I said, "No, the power came from a power generator that helps scramble our DNA. Then, they give us powers that embody the keen straits of our personality. And what I meant to say was a partner." I couldn't believe I came up with that, I couldn't tell her about our powers or the others. My father might have trusted her, but I'm not taking any chances after the Bryce incident.
Anyways, we explained that we were coming to see if we could have the Sonic Replicator for a machine we need to power. She looked at us and replied, "I can't allow that, the Sonic Replicator is an important device that cannot be used for any other reason. Even if I wanted to help you, I can't so, I'm sorry." Things just got a little more complicated but that was always expected. I need to come up with an idea, and if I can't come up with anything then it's back to breaking and entering.
We told her that we understood if we couldn't just have the device then let us try to convince the other scientist to let us use it to save the world. She agreed and showed us the lower levels. Once we arrived, she opened the door and disabled the security robots. Then we were clear to enter and there it was, the device, "I couldn't tell, but I had a hunch it was it."
Nevertheless, we came here to negotiate. However, when we tried to talk to the people about the device and our situation. They yelled out and called back the security bots. At that moment, everything seemed as they froze in time as another battle was going to happen. We had to act and fast.
