Reeve and I took care of the robots easily, but that only scared the scientists even more and they ended up fainting as Changying did before.
It was kinda hilarious to see full grown men faint because of us.
So I did as I did with Changying and woke them up. Then I had Reeve hold the guys in his hand with his power as so they won't try to run away. They came to and then started to notice themselves trapped in a giant hand, so they panicked again until I came up to them and said, "Hey, can you please calm down and can we please just talk." However, when they replied, one of them said, "何,彼らは日本語を話さなければならない" I had no idea what the heck he said. I then made a call to Mr. Electron, and he tells me that our suits can translate any spoken language and project a translation of what I or Reeve say back to others, so we used that to listen and talk to them that way. I explained, "Listen, we aren't here to hurt you. I'm a superhero and I want to talk about the device you have." One of the men replied, "How do we know that you are not here to steal this device?" I replied, "If we were here to do that, do you think you will survive as a hostage?" The other man replied, "So, you are here to kill us." I answered, "No, we want to talk. We have no negative intention." The man from before asked, "Okay then, what is it you want. If it's so important that you risk damaging millions of dollars worth of equipment." Man, I didn't like that guy's tone.
Anyway, I said, "We need the Sonic Replicator, it's critical toward or goal in capturing a villain." They both gasped and then one of them said, "How dare you! That's our greatest creation, and you want it so you may catch a villain.", "Did I not just explain this. Yes.." I answered sarcastically, "Okay, that's fine with us." They both said, and that's where Reeve and I fell back with shock.
I asked them, "Are you serious?" And they both answered, "Yes" again. We sat there for a bit before coming back to our senses, then we got up and I said, Okay then, we thank you for the cooperation and hope to do business with you in the future…" Then, out of nowhere, an explosion goes off and blows a hole into the building. Reeve and I got the scientists and Changying away from the blast and then stayed put to see what was going on.
That's when Bryce comes in and says, "Miss me, Inferno?", "Bryce, what are you doing here? We thought you were off world." I said, "You thought wrong! That was just one of my other abilities. It's called masking, and it allows me to mask my presence for any given amount of time. I'm just wondering what you are doing here." Bryce said, "That's none of your business, we have some questions for you as well." Reeve said, "That's fine, I'm in kind of a good mood today. So ask your question." He said, while not believing what was going on, "Okay then, the first question. Are you calling the shots, or do you have a boss?" I asked, "Yeah, you mean the big guy. He is my boss, and I work for him. He found me and made me better." He explained, "Alright, that's all I wanted to know. Now, let's make a deal." I said, "Oh, I originally planned to fight you and your buddies again. But a deal sounds interesting. Okay, I'll bite, what will it be." He said, "The deal is, we leave with you and you take us to your boss to discuss something. We leave what we came here for, and leave the scientist unharmed. Sounds like a fair deal to me." I said, "You know what, you make a good point. I think I'll go along with it." He said, "Alright then, after you. But wait, can you take Reeve. He doesn't have a power that makes him fly, he can just shrink down and fit in your pocket." I said, "Why doesn't he fly with you?" Bryce asked, "Hello, fire, he'll burn alive after I take off. That's even with cooling devices in his suit." I explained to Bryce, and he went with it.
Then Bryce and I began to fly away until Changying yelled out, "Wait, that man said that he was going to fight you and your buddies. That means you lied to me about it only being you and your pal." I didn't have time to explain, Bryce was leaving and I left that lab. Although, that was the plan
