Chapter 12 - Chapter 8: Enemy Frontier

Date: 11/20/2020

Time passes by slow, time is something that shows how old each of us is. And how much time we can hold a grudge.

It's been a day since we've seen my old friend, Bryce Summers, after he betrayed us and stole some of our information, "Not to mention he knows who I am and where our hideout is." But, for some reason, he hasn't brought an army or anything. It all seemed weird, so we decided to use the time we have to try and track him with our supercomputer. We know that Bryce used the computer to steal information on us and stuff like that. He could have corrupted the computer, so we wouldn't be able to find him. But he didn't and we have a sample of his DNA that we got when we had him here. So, even if he tries to hide somewhere, we will be able to find him.

We went to work after everyone recuperated, and spent the last day here looking for a match and a location.

After that, it was an utter failure, I mean… we couldn't find ONE… aww. We searched all over the earth for one… stinking… match for a strand of DNA. Not one matched even a little.

And… on top of that. We didn't even find a trail of his DNA, not one stupid trace. "And as you can see, I am pissed"  we just need to widen our search. "That's right" we already searched Earth, now we have to search off Earth.

But to do this, we need the combined help from both Mr. E and my da… "Awwwwwwwww…" at that moment, I remembered I put my dad in the lab and he's been locked in there for a day.

So I got up and ran, and I mean I bolted for the lab. But as soon as I got there, I noticed that there was no noise coming from the room "So I naturally thought that he was dead" and as soon as I unlocked the door, I ran in there and yelled out, "Dad...." and it took me a second to see that he was just lying on the ground, the good thing was that he was breathing and I think he was sleeping. Then I walked over to him and yelled out, "WAKE… UP…" and his head jerks up and turns to me and says, "What…?" And I asked, "Why are you lying down?" He looks at me and says with a snarl, "Eeehhh, fine." And he sits up and lays against his desk and starts to explain.

He starts with the last thing he remembered after what happened, "Okay… let's see, I guess it starts after I came to. I found myself in my lab and I think to myself that someone locked me in. Not to mention all my machines are deactivated so I can't use them. I thought to myself, 'Should I stay in here for the time being?' And then I remember one of my meetings with Bill" "Bill, is Mr. Electrons' real name" "which was about an old topic of how we can survive in our labs for days." I then ask, "How?" He looked at me and says, "Well, it's simple. I…" yeah… after that, I lost track of how he did it. Basically, he pulled some Rick and Morty science and made his food from his chemical he had everywhere. In retrospect, I should have taken the chemicals so he couldn't escape. But now I'm sure glad I didn't.

Anyways, he went back to explaining

"After I made some artificial... whatever, I ran out of supplies to survive. So, I waited it out by meditating, writing, and other stuff." I'm just glad he's fine. Then I told him what happened with Bryce and how he ended in the lab. Let's just say, he did not like how I was the one who put him in here. But he got over it, he told me that it's not the first time something like this has happened. He explained that he was in a comparable situation when a bad guy locked him inside a lab in Japan. After we both were up to speed, I said to him, "Dad, can you help with our search?" He nodded and stood up, then walked out of the room and went toward the Main Hall, where he yelled to everyone, "I Am Here…" pun intended, he said that we needed his and Mr. Electrons help to find Bryce, so we can put a stop to his plan. Whatever they may be.

That's when we called Mr. E to see if he would be on board. He was, of course, but he told us he would be a while because the Teleporter was broken cause Bryce broke it before he left. So we wouldn't be able to follow him if we found his location. He said it would take him a couple of hours to get from where his house is. Yeah, he has a house in California. What are the odds?

So, while we waited, my dad started fixing up the Teleporter, so when we find Bryce. We can go immediately and put a stop to his, or whoever is controlling him, master plan. But there was a problem because there was an important piece that was busted. It's impossible to teleport without a functional, Matter Displacer

You see, without a Matter Displacer, it's impossible to send our matter to anywhere we want. It's like how we send electronic bits in the form of something like an email, or a picture. That's how we can Teleport, by sending our matter bits to any location we desire by sending them and directing them to a different location and have them reassemble at once.

So, it was important that we go and get a new one, but my dad said. "To get one, you have to get a Sonic Replicator, though to get one. You have to break into a research facility in Tokyo, Japan. It's far away and may take a while to get there."

"The facility is highly dangerous and they may not take likely to any with superpowers." We all looked at him and wondered what he meant by that, and so Reeve asked, "Uh yeah, what do you mean by 'They may not take likely to anybody with superpowers'?" He looked at me and said, "You know Michael" it took me a second, then I remembered what he said earlier to me. Then I had the realization of a lifetime, and I said, "So, the lab that a villain trapped you in, is the same facility that has the Sonic Replicator." He nodded and started to explain.

"You see, I was there at the time because I had gotten a distress call about the facility being taken over by a villain, who I thought, was Mr. Neutron. But, when I got there, the whole place was set on fire and was about to burn through the power core. So, I used my fire manipulation and absorbed the flames, and as soon as I was done with that, I used my fire & water manipulation to set up a mist inside so it would cool down. While the mist did its work, I ran in and went to go and see if the villain left any clues, or was still here about to make away with what he/she wanted. But after a while of looking, I gave in and sat down in a chemical room. And then someone came up from the ground, in the form of a shadow, and typed in the keypad. Then the door closed, and a barrier went up, and I was trapped. It wasn't so bad, in the heat of the moment, I had to do what I had to do to survive. And by that, I mean I did everything that I did in our lab to survive in a lab, but there was a difference between that situation."

"I didn't notice it at first, but there was another person in the room, and they were looking at me from behind a counter. It was a female scientist who was hiding from what she thought did this, but I also noticed something odd about her."

"I could see with infrared vision that she was cold and trying to hug herself for warmth. I tried to get close to her but she shouted out to not get near her, then I notice that she was cold because she was completely naked. And as an act of kindness, I changed the molecules of a countertop into some clothes." I stopped him and said, "Wouldn't that be difficult to do with a countertop that probably also has chemical mixed in!" He answered, "It wasn't that hard at all. I also memorized the molecules it takes to get a batch of clothing." We all looked at him and thought, "Okay, why would he need to know that?" Then we realized it, and we all started chuckling. Then we let him continue explaining.

"Alright, so I turned the countertop into a set of clothes, and I gave them to the woman hiding. She first tried to hide again, but then she saw the clothes and she held out her arms and grabbed them. She thanked me, then she got back behind the counter and put the clothes on. It wasn't my best work, but it suited her, and she told me about what happened to the facility. It turned out, the shadow guy started the fire by setting off a burner in a lab. He wanted to get rid of something here, and he succeeded in that act. But, in the process, trapped this woman in a different lab nearby. In desperation to escape, this girl ran through a wall of fire to get past and escape, and in the process, she burnt all her clothes. Not only that, all other ways were blocked with debris. So, she ran into this lab to stay safe and let the sprinkler system do its work. until I came in and did my thing."

I asked my dad, "What happened next?" and he said, "Oh, I blasted a hole in the door and we both walked right out. But when we reached the entrance to the facility, about fifty scientists and a large group of people stood in front of me and were all yelling out stuff in Japanese. I couldn't understand what they were saying, but the woman I was with looked at me and said that I should go, and I wondered why she told me that? But then, a bottle comes flying and hits me square in the head, and I was almost knocked out if it wasn't for my thick head. Anyway, I had enough of what was going on, so I flew off and never got to explain the situation."

We all looked at him and thought, "Man, what a story" but now we have to go to that lab, even if we aren't welcome.

So, without haste, I said "Okay dad, we'll be careful. If not, then we can try reasoning, or just have Josh scare them away." And we all laughed a little.

After we all got our heads together, we got into our super suits. While everyone got in the hovercar, while I was preparing to fly away. With that, we set off for the laboratory where we will find the device that will help us get to Bryce.
