Chapter 41 - Last laugh

"YOU DARE! HUMAN!

The last word was was said with the upmost disdain for humans from a deep other worldly voice. The Emperor exuded massive amounts of magical power. Damien was excited to finally awaken his bloodline. He wondered if the Emperor could damage his body as he watched his power alter the environment. Small earthquakes and fissures opened up in the ground and random bolts lightening impacted the earth. He was now sure that the Emperor was capable as he watched the Emperors surging power grow by the second. When he looked at the body of the massive brute his eye glowed and he became especially furious. He was sure the Emperor had close god level power as a mage. The Emperor blocked the technique aimed at his palace with his massive swords and looked at the Damien in slight shock. Due to the technique pushing him back a few meters. This had NEVER been done to the Emperor. These thoughts turned into turned into anger.

This was perfect solution to his bloodline problem but it would hurt... a lot. The Emperor unleashed his full power making the planet quake just from his magical pressure alone. When he laid his eyes on the center of his fury he blurred from sight punching Damien with an earth shattering uppercut. Damien attempting to block the punch but his arms were obliterated as he was sent flying high into the air. The next instant the Emperor appeared above Damien and landed a massive punch above him. Sending him like a rag doll impacting the earth.

"Now! With your death Huma-"

The Emperor saw Damien beginning to standing immediately after taking two blows of his blows. He noticed that Damien was already recovering. 'What human mage is able to recover fatal injuries so quickly', the Emperor thought? 'The staff in his back! That must be it!' The Emperor would pry his prize from this cocky mages cold corpse! He had to have that jewel. But he had to make this insolent worm bleed and suffer. He felt his rage grow along with his power. He must feel his flesh parted by his blade. He craved it!

The Emperor unsheathed his sword and flashed toward Damien and swung his sword beheading Damien in an instant. Or so he thought. The skin on Damien neck began to mend right after the blade passed through his neck. The Emperor then swung his sword slicing completely through Damien over and over. The as the speed increased the ground began to disappear for meters around. The enhanced physical abilities from the Black Dragon were on full display. After the 100,000 swing of his rune encrusted mythical blade that further enhanced magical abilities. Now it was Damien's turn to look like a pile of mush.

Yet, under the shocked gaze of the Emperor Damiens body yet again began reconstructing itself. The Emperor was on the brink of panic until he realized that he still hadn't used his most powerful mage abilities.

"So, your resilient toward physical attacks. That is a small matter. I will overpower your regeneration with a true display of my real power! The power of a Grand Sorcerer and and Elder Dragon combined. I have eneter I the realm of gods!"

The Emperor put all of his power into this last attack. He also had a trump card that was shameful for him to use. He was saving it for the prodigal Elven prince. The 'Antient dagger of Kalish'. Once the dagger peirces the flesh of the target all physical and magical abilities are nullified for an hour. It was long enough to kill any opponent in an intense battle. He once again stabbed the mush that was Damien that had reformed up to the chest and the regeneration process halted.

The truth be told the Emperor was fighting with only his pride. He knew that no being in existence should not be able to withstand his physical abilities. Yet, here was HUMAN of all things fighting on par with him. No, not fighting, he hasn't attacked the Emperor at all. His his calm eyes never showed that this human was was in over his head. For the first time in hundreds of years the Emperor felt insecurity and was startled by a chill that went up his spine. 'That's just nerves of the first a true battle in hundreds of years.' The Emperor disappeared and reappered in the air and he fired his most powerful attack. He didnt care if he destroyed the entire world besides his palace he would destroy this human. He too long minutes to power a massive dark orb that suddenly condensed into a small orb. It suddenly floated in front of the Emperor before turning into a massive black and green beam of magical energy and aura. The beam impacted Damien who particles began to burn. Then, before he was completely erased from existence,he glowed a massive gold light.

A loud glass shattering noise was heard that startled everyone not a cultivator, even the Emperor. Damien was shining bright like this for long moments. The Emperor was not stranding by idle. He was still firing spell after spell. Poisons, curses, blades, elemental attacks of all kinds, he used everything he knew. He even tried a charm spell! Literally everything that he knew and nothing still hadn't work. The dagger acully shattered and was a god artifact! Hes was also greatly depleted of mana. In his mind it was plan B had started the moment his mana depleted. He turned and teleported into his throne room.

When the Emperor disappeared, Damien began slowly reappearing slowly the light dimming around him. His bloodline finally had Awakened. Damien felt his power surge as well as his cultivation. 'Child of Chaos' bloodline was born into the universe. Damien still didn't know what happened but he just knew that he changed. Physically, Damien knew he was was once again forced to quickly adjust to a massive amounts of power in a short about of time. Also, that his body changed into something else. Something further away from human.

Damien truely felt nothing, very indifferent emotionally. He needed to cultivate soon to be able reign in control. He was currently a ticking time bomb. He remembered the explosion in space and knew that the same would happen soon but not at the moment. He had time to finish the job. Before going after the Emperor. He spoke to the cultivators but his first word almost made their eardrums bleed. "CULTIVA-!"

"Ahhh!"

*Cough* *cough*

"Go and retrieve our comrades and return to the refugee camp and guide them back to the city. For now the Dwarves can live in the mountains if they want. The Elves claim a portion of the forest. The lizard people can live....wherever lizard people live. Tell them that my home is their home. Go." The trio needed but paused when Deena spoke. "You should really look in a mirror whenever you get a chance, Sire."

Daminen would do just that when he was able. For now his God body and cultivation were in an influx. He needed to get this over with now. He waited for the cultivators to begin leaving the continent before heading into the palace. Damien directly through the wall to where he felt the Emperors aura. He smashed though wall after wall like it was paper and with his body. The obsidian walls were nothing to Damien. He walked through that wall and into the throne room and stopped. Emperor sat on his throne waiting patiently for Damien. Damien spoke first.

"You didnt take me for the fleeing type of Emperor. Your obviously stalling for something so talk."

"Fleeing, no simply strategizing. You have not won at all. In fact you have played into my hands. While your obviously not a human you still think like one. I have to thank you for bringing me what I need. Now after facing you, I would not have been able to retrieve my goal if had not showed up on my doorstep. You should have killed me the moment you entered my throne room. Hehehe..Hahaha!"

"I guess losing most of the strength of your army and encountering a being stronger than yourself has made you delusional a bit don't you think? Let's end this shall we."

"Yes, let's. Ovelir Dentou Shvrikilosy!"

The powerful spell was cast in seconds. The powerful orb on Damiens staff glowed bright. It was the catalyst to the powerful transportation magic formation. Before Damien could form a thought to retaliate the entire room glowed bright and the last thing Damien could hear was the, condescending laughter of the Emperor as Damien both were transported away...again. Damien sped though a portal except he could discern some of the images. The images were of Galaxies speeding by until Damiens tunnel made a sudden left and he was blinded and weakened by a blinding light before all of Damiens senses shut off and darkness overcame him.
