Chapter 47 - True Comrade

Damien introduced them to basic their spells geared towards their elements. Though constant usage the spell strengthens until it reaches a max strength. All spells have a maximum strength, yet that doesn't mean an spell cannot evolve with the right conditions or recourses.

Damien had countless spells from his time in the various libraries in the cities that he absorbed knowledge from. Especially, the Algarian library. He had them all turned into skill books that were based on their current mage rank. Damien used his DP to purchase 5 Grand Sorcerers for 3,000,000 DP. They would handle the advanced training for the students as well as allocating out the skill books. For the instructors, he made their own massive training facilities. Their were 5 naturally born Sorcerer and 1000 Archmages in his group currently that were closest to the mana radiation explosion.

Once things got settled in the bunker, Damien portaled to the sect masters courtyard. He walked inside the sect masters office. He had a mountain of paperwork to do. He had to allocate lower disciples to take care of daily needs. Much to the ire of the cultivators. They had their pride after all. Many of the cultivators were angry that their cultivation had been interrupted.

Damien had come to inform him that he was here to return many of the people that were taken but found something curious when he returned to the surface.

"Sect master." Damien cupped his hands and bowed.

"And?"

"Problem solved. I'll bring you to see the citizens to show you they are safe. Many only wanted to return so once they stabilized themselves they are now all able to return to the surface. They have the wild displays of power under control."

The sect master visibly deflated. This had been one of the hardest weeks of his life as a sect master. Having cultivators doing commoners chores, was going to have a rebellion on his hands soon. He thanked Damien for solving the problem and also looked at Damien with slight fear. He transported millions of souls in seconds. The sect master knew he could only move hundreds of thousands...possibly, even with his current strength.

"That's good news. Now we can get all these mortals back to work." The secret master noticed Damien look away and frown. "What happened now Damien?"

"Well...not all, but most returned." Respond Damien.

"How many Damien?" The sect master said flatly.

"About 40,000,000 stayed in training with me yet the rest refused and wanted to return to their homes."

The sect master was angry but what could do? Damien helped HIM get to his current level. For that alone was worth the world to the sect master. "Well I don't think I can persuade you differently can I? "

"No will this will benefits for us both in the end. Also, my other reason for coming here. Have the representatives of the capital arrived, yet?"

"No. Why?"

"Oh, only because there are hundreds of cultivators in various unoccupied buildings around the city. I just wondered with no mortals around why would people enter the city without seeing the city Lord or yourself. Their life signatures were that of cultivators so it was not hard to miss for me."

"What! Those bastards dare make a move on my sect! That bastard prince is finally making his move on my life. At least he doesn't know about you yet. If he had he would have already sent power cultivators to come claim you. Even, I am not sure how strong they would be. Yet, for now these bastards will pay!"

Just as he was about to suddenly explode in power. Damien suddenly appeared in front of the sect master and put his hand on his shoulders just as the sect master was about to take off. Yet his body did not move, only a crater in the ground was formed below both of their feet.

"Hold your horses. No rush, it doesn't seem like they aren't mobilizing to attack just yet. They are just coming through the lax front gate security and residing in building waiting. Looks like for their time to strike. That's okay, they will have a very rude awakening when they make their moves. For now come with me."

Damien created a portal and stepped through. Seconds later the sect master stepped though next. The sect master suddenly arrived in the center of massive room turned into a underground city. Their were mortals dressed in different color robes but to the sect masters amazement he saw them training vigorously. They were running obstacle courses, strength training with steel objects, they were masterfully using various melee and ranged weapons. They were all using the weapons as though they were all masters.

Elderly men, children, literally everyone was training. Wen the people saw the two men together someone shouted and they all turned to face Damien and the sect master. They all cupped their hands and bowed in respect and reverence. He noticed the people praying to a massive statue before running off and training further. The sect master hadn't seen a soul resting not one. Yet, dispite their fatigue they still trained diligently with determination in their eyes.

"What happened to them? Why are they training so hard?"

"That's what I ordered them to do. That what this place is for. To control their new abilities and adapt to their bodies. The mana is pure and constantly strengthening their bodies and minds. Making their magical abilities stronger. "

"Magic? What's that?"

"Cultivation focuses on the internal manipulation of energy and mana focuses on the external manipulation of mana energy. A more pure form of mana is aether. I now have access to these external energies. Yet, cultivators cannot manipulate mana and mages cannot manipulate chi energy."

"So these mortals are now mages, this quickly? I can't say that I still fully understand but they will no longer cause chaos in my city then I am fine." The sect master asked with a contemplative look on his face.

"I hope not yet, look at them. Do you think that cultivators will suddenly respect people that they viewed as mortals only a week earlier? No, it is best to keep them separate for a while. Too much change too soon isn't always a good thing. Plus, we still have the issue with the invading cultivators but I have a solution to this."

"Well what's that?" The sect master asked irritated. He hated Damien's cliffhangers.

He took out a Spirit Cube and tossed it to the sect master.

"For you with these."

The sect master and Damien's was in a secret chamber that he created for them under the massive mana stone. He tunneled even deeper into the planet by manipulating the rock around himself. He then went deep enough until he struggled to go any deeper due to the planets density. It seemed like the planet made itself strong enough to resist the powers of even the gods from breaching its core.

Damien proceeded to make a massive cavern lined with immortal glass. Damien was going to attempt his multiple breakthroughs in this room. Standing next to the sect master he took out a small mountain of spirit cubes from his inventory. He learned that to cultivate his grey core, it took DP points something that was completely new to Damien. Also since his system had upgraded, other features downgraded. Now his DP comes once a month instead of daily. This must be due to the ease of getting followers while being a god over lesser beings or something. Damien didn't know but, either way that hurt. It seemed like Damien was trying to be forced to become a tyrant.

The sect master looked seriously at Damien. He looked at the cubes like they were artifacts. "These are full of pure chi. Had I used this before breakthrough I might have exploded. I don't even know the value of these objects. I am not even sure the royal family know of these cubes. Damien, where did you get these?" He spoke in awe.

"I truely cannot say yet, thank you for letting me know and I will keep these a secret as much as possible. For your silence." He gave the sect master 100 of the cubes but he only need half of that to raise two or three ranks. Damien wasn't sure. These system provided them so the purity would be perfect no matter what. Good or bad the system will provide it in it's most perfect form.

This would be both of their first times testing the cubes. It would also be Damien's first time harnessing pure mana into his core. He wasn't so sure about this one. The last breakthrough was insanely painful. He truely didn't know if his mind could handle the backlash, god or not. He made preparations this time.

"Sect master, I need you to go inside of your black cube. I'm not sure if being this close to pure mana would affect your cultivation. I'm also not sure of the backlash my breakthroughs will cause and could possibly injure or kill you. I'd rather not take that chance before you harden your body further." Damien handed the sect master another 100 cubes. " Here, these are the cubes used for our training. The others are for you leisure. Grow strong we don't know what's coming around the corner and don't know what that prince will do. He has the resources to make any move on us."

"'Us' huh?" The sect master smiled, "thank you Damien." He cupped his hands and bowed. Taking put the black cube he dropping it on the ground and activating the barrier.

Damien nodded to the sect master. He tried not to create any bonds since leaving earth yet the longer away he was the harder it was becoming not to view these aquatiences dear friends.
