Chapter 42 - Two greedy

On the top of a frozen ice cap of a mountain range, the winds gusted back forth and massive dark storm clouds formed in the air above followed by lightning strikes. A bright blue circular formation with strange symbols shown on the ground and a humanoid appeared in the center of the formation. When the humanoid appeared, a massive powerful explosion rocked the area where the body laid. It was of a godly magnitude that destroyed mountains for miles around.

Damien finally began wake from his forced slumber. He felt the familiar sense of Deja vu as he stood up viewing his surround. He was currently at the bottom of a massive crater. He was shocked that the planet survived the awakening of a semi god and immoral awakening stronger than the one Damien in outer space. Damien would have destroyed planet Damascus with the last one. Yet here the planet was, safely intact. It was night in the sky and that was good. Damien could see perfectly at night.

Damien needed to find out were he was and find that Emperor and rip the way back out of his mind. The Emperor was a real sorcerer. He had all the tricks prepared in advance as a contingency plan. Now because he wanted to try to become he was transported away. Damien knee he was at least on another planet at minimum.

Damien wanted to fly but didn't know what kind of attention that would cause. Flying used different energies he didnt know if his energy signatures would be detected. Damien jump out of the massive crater and picked direction and kept walking. He was walking up a mountain and took time to think. Sensed for life forces and found many nearby. He turned in that direction and began running at breakneck speeds up and down the mountains.

Now on the mountain next the city Damien was stunned. It was a city very similar to the sect Damien had in Numera. The building were similar yet different. All of the people were dressed in robes and sandals or soft shoes. The women wore buns in their dark hair. Oh yeah and everyone was Asian...EVERYONE. At least in this village. That alone would prove to be a major issue. He didn't know how these people would take to strangers suddenly arriving at their doorstep. Not to mention the issue with his brown skin so blending in would be nonexistent. Damien felt no mana in the atmosphere only massive amounts of chi energy particles in the air. This didn't bode well for Damien.

Damien didn't want to believe it but here he was in a cultivation world. If he actually WAS on a cultivation planet and that meant he was in a cultivator universe and he was completely and royally F*****! Damien looked down at his arms and noticed that one was completely white and and one completely black. Damien stood and walked away from the cliff overlooking the village.

Damien channeled from his grey core summoning a large standing mirror. looked like everything worked as normal. He didn't know how traveling though strange wormholes would affect his abilities. Damien looked at his appearance and he looked especially bad ass. He had a small slightly above his head. His hair was long, straight, and black and white and stopped down the middle of his back. One clawed arm was black and the other white the same for the legs and feet, the torso was black and white in opposite sides of the limbs, vertically. He had a long whip like tail white in color that had a black tip. He had retractable wings that had steel like white feathers on the outside and bat like veiny wings on the inside.

Once he finished admiring is new look, his mind drifted back on events at hand. He had to figure out where he was and how he could get back. That meant finding that Emperor and recasting that spell. He had no idea if they both were portaled planet or universe for that matter. Damien wasn't the godly knowledge kind of god. He was a mage only over a year ago and now he left the realm of humanity. For his sanity, Damien wrote off what else was potentially gone forever.. He had to believe he would get back or the next thing to be gone will be his sanity.

For now, Damien would cultivate and go through his forms and cultivated to get acclimated to his new body power. In the middle of nowhere deep in the forest Damien trained. Damien could split his mind to process complex thoughts so Damien could easily cultivate while training. Not to mention when he locked in serious combat One of his stats increase by one point every hour no matter what. That was due to his title he '1st in the known universe.' So long as he remained locked in combat for hours he could slowly continue to grow. Damien wasn't sure if that only applied to the one opponent or each new opponent he was locked into battle with. His cultivation raised his stat points by 10 per day.

From what Damien could tell for each person was different due to innate abilities in each person. Cultivatior are really superior in every way to mages. Some stat points rise faster than others and also that was based on the grad of the cultivation. Damien at least had a way to make money by selling skill books. At least for now he would explore like a normal human. An innocent human shouldn't be noticed...right. Damien cultivated into the morning.

Not having to sleep was a Boone for Damien. As the sun rose Damien ended the night practicing in the forest with his bloodline trait. He currently gained the hang of flying. For tens of meters around the massive tree were cut down in every direction. He was very powerful but what he had confirmed earlier that this planet was ridiculously dense. Even as a god Damien has trouble going to see or even sensing to a certain point. To Damien that was incredible. His senses reached into outer space and into the next moon on Damascus. Now with the sun rising. Damien was going to head into the village before everyone was fully awake.

He washed away the dirt and grime off of his body with a thought. He changed into clothing similar to the villagers and summoned his katana from his inventory. He brought down his base power to that the body level of the third rank. Hiding his cultivation was a simple thought. Last night Damien thought about making his appearance look and sound younger. So he reverted himself back to a teenager of around 15 year old. He wanted to appear as innocent as possible. He had no idea of the powers of immortals, so be wanted to know more about them before he begin using immortal level chi all willy nilly on this planet.

His story would be that his group was crossing the mountains but was suddenly attacked and killed by powerful beasts. He became lost in this strange land after fleeing. He had finally made down the mountains and saw this village and had come for assistance.

With his disguise and cover story in place, Damien turned to head towards the village. He walked through the dense canopy forest until the forest turned to spaces large trees. With massive branches and white flowers. Damien thought the flowers were beautiful but, wanted to get to the village get a feel for the people. Damien had walked on the trail for some hours as the sun rose over the horizon and approached the stone walls. For a seemingly small village its walls were formidable. Damien rethought the innocent village idea. The land around the village had been cleared of tree and stumps had long ago been removed to increase visibility in every direction around this village. It was large village closer to a town. The building were mostly 2 storied buildings that were fairly simply made. There were shops, butcher shops and tannery, taverns among other building. Damien moved closer to the doors of the wall when suddenly two armed men with their sword unsheathed.

"Help!" Damien took another step towards the two men.

"Halt! Take another step and you die! Where are you coming from, and why is your skin brown?" The chubby man said first.

The other much slimmer man spoke, "you are nearly a body realm cultivator how did you survive in the forest?" The second man asked. They both wore black robes and had pale skin.

"I am lost and looking for the largest nearby city." Damien explained the story. The two cultivators lowered their weapons after his story. They didn't they didn't look too bright Damien thought to himself. They hardly vetted his story. Damien wanted to find a city with more information.

"Can you point me in the direction of the nearest city?

"The city is to the south on the other side of the village. I will take a weak cultivator like you weeks to get there from here. We can offer you protection here for a fee. Life in the Hidden Demon Sect is not free." The man said with a humorless chuckle.

Well this turned left really quickly. Trying defuse the situation. Damien tossed each one a mid grade spirit stone.

"Thanks for the offer, but I will have to decline. I just needed to go to the nearest city."

Damien cupped his hands and bowed. The two stunned cultivators had the fist sized stones in their hands and drool. Stones this large were 6 months of wages and food and this weak cultivator gave them out like rice buns. The greedy men licked their lips and eyed Damien like a wolves and their prey. Of course Damien felt the emotions.

"I think that we'll have to insist." One of the men said. They both let out their pressure on Damien.

They waited for him to be affected. Damien on the other hand could feel the effects of the pressure and it made him sweat due to him lowering his cultivation. He had a bloodline so that would explain any large burst of power.

Both cultivators were in the mid body realms. "I'll once again have to decline. I have not yet entered your village or sect and therefore do not need any protection. I think I'll go around. Thank you once again. Damien turned to leave and proceed around the wall."

"Well just leave all of your spirit stones and you can go. Or we can pry them from your cold dead corpse." The chubby man said.

Damien sigh and kept walking, infuriating the men.

"You dare disrespect the shin twins! Die!"

They both attacked Damien from behind as their blades com close he jump spin kicked them both deep into the forest. "Aaahrg" Was all the sounded the two men could make before their bodies flew off into the distance. You could hear their bodies smashing through multiple trees of the forest with loud crashing sounds. Their bodies were left decimated with a trail of blood going into the forest, both men dead.

"Oops, guess I over did it. I really have to lower my physical stats. They are too much for this mortal realm. So it's like the cultivation worlds he read about where the strong prey on the weak."

If these were guards then this village was not one Damien needed to visit. He continued on toward the directions of the now two dead guards. He took a powerful step, his foot leaving a large crater in the ground. He should be at the city in the next few hours on foot. Damien sped down the dirt road toward his new destination.
