Chapter 37 - Finding her!!!

Looking at the car getting away Noah could feel his heart ripping apart. The love of his life didn't want to look at him. And, there was no one else to blame but him. He heard Jasper order some men to track the car but he stayed still. "Don't worry, we will track her and make sure she is safe." He heard Jasper say but didn't react. "Sir, should we take her back with us or,..." His chest was constricted. He knew even if his men took her back he had lost her.

"Make sure she is safe," He said before taking his heavy steps to his mansion. The warm interior engulfed his frozen body with warmth. Everything without her by side had lost the meaning. "I don't deserve her. I don't,..." He whispered to himself while turning the knob of the door.

Are you going to leave her when she is somewhere alone, scared, and broken? His inner voice sneered and he knew he got to get his shit together. He understood that she doesn't want him right now but it doesn't matter. She needed him and he just can't sit here while his love wanders on the cold streets. She deserved to be safe. His kids needed to be safe.

Getting his cell from his nightstand he tracked the engagement ring she wore. Her all jewelry was always bugged. And he saw many pieces of jewelry located together somewhere thirty miles away to the north of their mansion. The person was driving quite fast. Noah doubted that she would ever order the driver to be this fast. "What are you thinking? Please relax!" He whispered while roaring the engine of his car.

The red spot blinking on his phone map stopped after half an hour more and Noah found a huge motel and many other commercial places around that area. Thinking she has a roof over her head made him relax a little? But he still drove to make sure if everything is fine. At this point, he just wanted to see her.

He reached the same point and noticed many clubs, hotels, restaurants in the area. Streets were almost empty in this chilly thick fog. He got into the motel that was giving her location. The interior was good and warm for a motel. A girl behind the desk was reading some magazine but stood up looking at him.

"Do you want a room, Sir?" We are,..."

"I am looking for my wife? She looks heavily pregnant." He cut her off and came on the point.

Intimidated by his behavior she repeated the decided words. "We can't provide you such information."

But the glare she got from Noah in return made her suck on her breath.

"You don't know me. And you don't want to know me." His warning tone was enough to make that poor soul shiver.

"Th-there is no one like this only some usual call girls with their customers, three college students and a foreign couple. No pregnant lady is here. You are wasting your time." The information she provided made him even more confused.

Maybe she is lying or thinking to save Sydney from me.

"Look! I will leave. I just want to know if she is safe." His voice trembled a little at the end.

"There is no one here. You are wasting your time. I swear." He knew she was not going to help him. So, making his way out he dialed a number. "Jasper! I am,..." a hard blow to his head interrupted his speech. He did turn to look at the person who attacked him but could only focus on some blurry person looking down at him while his sight gives up.

His sore neck made him groan while the air around him felt humid. Opening his eyes Noah found himself bound with a chair. His arms tried to get free only to make rope came deeper over his skin. He tried to recall the event while his breathing became hoarse. Even the thought that Sydney was not safe was enough to make him insane. He knew he won't be able to collect himself this time.

"Who the fuck you are?" Noah roared making the walls of that small room shook. The sounds of footsteps did follow his voice before a man having a shaved head appeared in front of him. "Aren't you too anxious for your death?" that shaved man asked and Noah narrowed his eyes at him. Noah was positive that he had never met this person. But then, he was Miller. He and his family have so many hidden enemies.

"What do you want?" Noah gritted the words. The urgency in his voice was reflective of his impatience. He wanted to get free and look for Sydney. Or worse he also had his Sydney.

That shaved head man came to sit on a wooden stool in front of Noah while casually saying, "I wanted my Sydney back. And, I have gotten her back. So, it is not a problem anymore but you have to go."

"What the- where is Sydney? You better not touch her, you bastard! I will kill you." Noah screamed while his nostrils flare and hands tried to get free but the man sitting in front of him only responded with a hard glare.

"She is mine. Arthur Hunt's, you are the one who stole her, touched her and even,...but don't worry I will send your child to you. It's,..." before Arthur could complete his sentence a kick to his stool made him lost his balance. A groan left Arthur's mouth before the room gets filled with his laugh.

"She didn't tell you about me? Or she did." Arthur asked but Noah was struggling more to get free.

"Don't worry; I will get you out of it, soon, in pieces," Arthur said and this is when Noah noticed a large sharpened blade in his hand. Slowly Arthur made his way behind him all the while having a creepy proud smile on his mouth.

"I didn't know I will fall in love with her when I killed her mother. That bitchy journalist had proofs against my smuggling." This made Noah stop struggling. It wasn't any obsession case. This person was related to her long before. "...I often enjoyed seeing Charlie alone thinking he lost his wife due to heavy blood loss. But this is what we call fate. Isn't it? I killed her father and now her husband and then her child."

This is when the left arm of the chair broke giving Noah an opportunity to turn back and punch the face he was aching to erase by now. Arthur fell on the floor and was about to stand when Noah charged on him to make sure he stayed strangled to the floor.

"How a person who doesn't have arms can touch what's mine?" Noah asked before making his left shoulder to come off. Arthur felt his bone-cracking before his arm lay beside him limp. The excruciating pain shot up making him wail loud.

Noah who just wanted to know if Sydney was safe or not didn't wait for anything but shouted louder while asking, "Where is she?"

"Under me, while I am breaking her bones and taking her cherry," Arthur gritted stabbing Noah and twisting the blade even deeper. Noah's body jerked back with the impact but he managed to punch Arthur's face to make him let go of the knife from his hand.

With the blade still stabbed in his body, he managed to land two more punches on his face before the pain radiating in his body became too much to bear.

They both could hear the sirens for police cars. A groan left Noah's mouth making Arthur show his bloody teeth as he laughs.

"Isn't she so beautiful? Soft like silk." Noah heard him say while trying to make sense of his blurry vision.

"You won't know. You see I am talking about,..." Another punch made him stop as he lost his conscious with Noah losing his not a few seconds later.

He woke with a beeping machine beside him. He lays un-motioned until all the events flooded like a hurricane and made him sit just to groan. "Sydney!" He called hoping she is somewhere near but this only made Jasper sliding the door to his left as he made his way inside the room.

"Sir! Relax" He said looking at his devastated state.

"Where is she?" Noah asked,

"She,... she is not here. She,..."

"Tell me," Noah roared,

"it's complex but we know that she is somewhere on a ship going to Cuba through the Atlantic Ocean," Jasper said making Noah widen his eyes in horror. "What are we doing here then?" Noah asked,

"You were poisoned with a knife." Jasper provided.

"It doesn't matter. She, my kids, how can you leave them alone?" Noah gritted the words as he got rid of the wires attached to him. He felt weak while he got up from the bed and walked to his wardrobe.

"It was not easy. That ship,..." Jasper could have continued but Noah cut him off ordering, "Prepare my jet," as he grabbed a suit.

"The weather is not good. We can't fly." This made Noah, still.

"This can't fu*king happening." Noah shrieked while kicking one small stool upside down.

"Don't tell me that you don't have any news on her," Noah asked,

"She is fine, she must be, your granny,..."

"What she did this time?" Noah cuts Jasper off.

"That ship was Lucifer's. I wanted to report that ship to get Mrs. Miller back but their men approached us. It appears that they had very strong connections with the police here. And knowing our reasons police and Lucifer's men had assured us that nothing will happen to Mrs. Miller."

"And, you, you trusted some goons and, and some dishonest officers. How cou,..."

"Your granny had talked to Lucifer in person. Not even this, Lucifer himself left to retrieve Mrs. Miller safe and sound. Turns out he has 1 billion at risk if we reported that ship. So, in return, he has promised Mrs. Miller's return unscathed."

"You! I can't trust a criminal with my whole family." Noah seethed,

"Your granny is paying that person 20 million a year for the last seven years. This is the first time he is doing a favor to our family." Jasper tried to calm Noah.

"Shouldn't we burn our whole security agency? Tell me, Jasper! If we can't protect the most important person in our family what use we have for all this power in the world." His body heaved in pure anger but then he asked, "For how long I was out? How long it will take for the weather?"

"For two days. And for using the Jet we need to wait for three more hours," Jasper replied, and that even irked Noah more.

"And what about that crazy person?" Noah asked as he recalled.

To which Jasper replied, "You have a company,"

Coming down the stairs Noah saw Abigail along with the very same woman he encountered a few days ago. She had the same red hair as Sydney.

"What you two want?" Noah asked with a very hard expression.

"It was my entire mistake." That red hair woman came forward to say in her trembling voice, "...I should haven't shared with my husband that I saw Sydney here. He told his father and this eventually led to all of the unfortunate happenings."

"Who are you, again?" Noah asked,

"I am Sydney's,..., cousin." She replied,

"Thank you so much for causing us trouble. Now, you can leave." Noah said but this is when Jasper intervened.

"Maybe we should listen to what they got to say,"

A while passed while the rain hit harder and storm outside the mansion was not any different than the one inside him.

"Where is he?" Noah's voice only came as a whisper but Jasper did hear him. "I handed him to the police," Jasper replied,

"Why?" Noah asked with his brows raised,

"You know why. Let this matter be handled by police this time. I will make sure he pays."

"You two get out of here and will never contact us," Noah warned in his icy cold voice.

"...Mr. Miller, people are suffering there. Innocent children,.." Abigail tried to say but Noah was quick to order Jasper before getting out of the hall.

"Show them out, Jasper,"

She was a child too. How dare they ask for help? I am so sorry, Sydney. I am so sorry. Please, come to me for this one time. His thoughts were chaotic when he heard.

"Mr. Miller," Noah turned to look at Jasper following him,

"Mrs. Miller is on the phone." Noah saw Jasper taking long strides with a cell phone in his hand and ran to get it when the words got registered.

"Sydney!" Noah said into the phone and only met uncontrollable sobs.

"Are you hurt?" He asked while his breathing got accelerated.

"Noah, please get me out of here, Please!"
