Chapter 43 - A little encounter

"Let me go, please let me go," I screamed feeling helpless in his stronghold and refused to budge from my place. "Noah!" I screamed holding his cold hand.

"What you have done?" I cried profusely and shouted at the person who was pulling my arm. My action was indeed a mistake because in the very next moment he jerked me up and started dragging me away from my Noah. All I wanted was to run and call for help but there was no help. Not even a car passed.

"Please, call someone he needs help. HE NEEDS HELP!" I yelled looking at my Noah. All I wanted was to see him moving. I wanted to know if he was fine. But soon, found myself thrown in a car that seemed as dark as the person who owned it. I wanted to look back. To see if he got some help. And the moment I tried to look at him I found a stronghold around my neck. I tried to breathe but couldn't while he made me look in his eyes. He seemed furious like a devil who has come out of hell. I couldn't care I hated him.

"You will never utter his name. You get me?" He asked but at the absence of any response from my side he seethed, "You have no idea what I have done and what I could do for you." His hold around my neck loosened while I felt his thumb grazing my lips.

I wanted to escape. This man was vile and treacherous.

"Please,..." I sobbed but this made him pull my body to him while I pushed his shoulders to make some distance. This is when a strong unfamiliar pain took over my whole body for a few seconds. I cried holding his jacket but the moment I saw him looking at my belly with his raging eyes I slapped him.

The smile that appeared on his face made him even look more evil. Wrapping my arms around my belly I hated being at his mercy.

"It is perfect that you throw this out of you soon. I promise I will finish it in a blink." He said waving his gun to me.

"I am sorry, you,...please,..." But a sharp pain in my pelvic region took my speech.

"Relax, honey. I am here with you," He said holding my fisted hand and kissed my sweaty temple.

"Please spare my babies. I will,...do,...anything you say," I managed in between my labored breathing but jerked my face away thinking he was going to hit me.

"Babies?.... It's fine I can kill all of them." I tried to cower away when I felt his mouth on my ear.

"I will never hurt you. But I can't let them live. I can't see you love anything more than me,..." I cut him off with a loud cry and this made him shout at his driver.

"Drive faster,"

I didn't know for how long I was in his car but I resisted getting out of it. His fingers stung around my arm when he dragged me across a hall and make me keep the pace with him on a set of stairs until I was in a room. I cried in pain while he made me look at him. "You better get free soon." I didn't give much thought to what he ordered. My focus was on the tall blonde woman who once helped me in the past. And, I knew she will do it now too. I stood with all my strength and saw him leaving before I turned to that woman.

"Please, help me." I requested while that woman stayed still for a few seconds before saying. "I will get you a doctor."

I caught her hand to make her stay. "No, I need to get out of here he will kill my babies,"

Her eyes had disgust listening to this. I knew she would help me. "He will not kill your babies, Sydney, try to breathe." She caught me to make me sit over the bed. "I will call the doctor," I hear her saying before she left.

"Noah!" I screamed with all the strength I could collect.

I found that woman coming to me with someone I didn't bother to see because I was dying. "Are you fine? What's happening to her?" She asked someone while I made her look at me to request, "Kill me, I don't want to give life to someone who is going to be killed,"

"No, one will kill your babies. I promise, Sydney." She collected my head in her lap and told me to carry on. I knew she was sent from heavens to help me out. I didn't have any strength but I nodded every time she asked me if I was fine. I wanted to ask her about my Noah too but I felt so out of energy.

"Are you sure you can do this?" The woman asked the doctor.

"I am trying,...I already told you I never delivered a baby, I am only here to treat wounds and gunshots." I hear some man say.

This is when I felt the pressure building and the urge to push increased. I felt thirsty and hot when I felt something sliding down. "I can see the head, tell her to push," The doctor sounds so indifferent. He didn't want to be here.

"For why you are here if she is to do everything," That blond said getting out a gun.

"I am,...it's her work to push the baby out,"

"Sydney, you need to get the baby out, are you hearing me?" She asked and I nodded my head.

I pushed with all I could collect. I knew I could do it. There was no time to get weak. I needed to save my kids and run out of here for my Noah. I let out a heavy sigh while the whole room resonated with a cry. "It's a boy," the doctor said.

"Give me,...Ahh," I felt another contraction and knew my girl was fighting for life too. I saw that doctor resting my crying boy on the bed. He was at the edge and I fear he could fall. I wanted to hold him but could feel my insides tearing to expel my baby out. I caught the sheets while the woman beside me held my head to her chest.

"It's a girl," I hear the man say, My Shannon will be the prettiest girl in the world. Far more beautiful than you. I recalled Noah saying and couldn't turn to look at my baby girl. I didn't want her to live a life without a father who could protect her. No, Noah is alive. He has to be.

That woman and doctor wrapped my babies in the towels before the doctor took his leave from the room. The moment I found myself alone I requested, "Get us out of here,"

I was so tired and wanted to sleep but didn't have the luxury. I held my baby boy in my arms while Shannon was sleeping peacefully. I look at my clothes that were tainted with Noah's blood and couldn't help my tears.

"Look, you have to stay here for a while..." My eyes widened at her revelation. "But I promise to take care of your babies,..." She added with a hesitation. I knew she was telling another lie. "I thought you have a heart,"

"Even if I help you out of here, you won't get far in this condition of yours." She walked to a door beside the bed and came with a shirt. "Wear this one and feed your baby. They need to be fed if you want them alive," I felt my baby boy moving while I held him close to my chest. I kissed his head while I admired this young man. He didn't sleep even for a second. As if he knew his mama needs him.

Blonde left me with a white shirt that reached my knees. I walked to the door and locked it before feeding my baby boy. I held my baby boy close to my chest while I walked to the window to see how high it is. Armed men walked everywhere in a huge estate while a pool had many girls and men who seemed to have a party. I didn't recognize any of them. My room was so high that I couldn't hear their distant chatter.

"We will get out of here," I kissed my baby's head and walked to my princess. She was still sleeping sound. With my baby boy in my arm, I held my girl's little fist. She was strong. I wish for nothing but you two to be the most powerful. I was sad by how beautiful and innocent they look unaware of all the things their parents are going through. I kissed my baby boy and tried to make him sleep. My eyes were getting heavy. I tried to stay awake for my babies but startled when I heard the doorknob turning.

"Mommy?" I startled to the knock on my door. I figured I was crying. For a second I wonder if I could ever forget my babies. At least I remember how they look but Noah he never got the chance to see them.

"I am coming, honey." Sighing I tried to relax. I didn't want Nick to see me like this. My doctor suggested to me against the idea of ever visiting where I left Noah but now even I was regretting. She was right I should have never visited the place.

"Mom, can we go out today?" Nick asked while we had our lunch in the cabin I rented. There were many other cabins around and the place was only half an hour away from where I once lived the last of my days with Noah.

"Where you want to go?" I asked but didn't feel like going out,

"Maybe we can go to have some ice cream, take some pictures and send it to Abbey." The sparkle in his eyes couldn't make me refuse his wish.

"Let's do it," I said with a half-smile and got my cell phone fully charged before we headed out. I located an ice cream parlor nearby. The view was great. This whole area was great with many beautiful views and for Nick, it was his first vacation. I wanted him to remember this as a good time. I clicked many photos and planned to head out after Nick finishes his icecream when I noticed a very cute girl looking at Nick's ice cream. Her clothes didn't give me the impression that she was homeless. Thinking her parents will be around I ignored the girl but soon she got the attention of many passerby's too along with three tables our parlor had customers on. I saw one man approaching her to offer her ice cream but she shook her head vigorously.

The man refused to leave her alone and even started telling new passerby's that he knows the girl. I didn't like that person standing around that girl but was I ready to do something for the girl? No. I didn't want to get into any matters but the moment I noticed that girl having her hands fisted and placed under her neck I couldn't stay indifferent anymore. I bought an ice cream and asked Nick to offer the girl some ice cream. I don't know what Nick told that girl but she accepted Nick's offer. I called the authorities because it was the least I could do for her. The girl seemed very scared and I didn't approach her while Nick keeps on talking to her over something.

The authorities arrived in less than twenty minutes. The girl still had her ice cream cup in her hands but before I could go ahead and talk to the officer I hear that officer informing someone on the phone that they have found the girl. I didn't feel the need to follow up. Apparently the family was looking for the girl too. But the moment that officer tried to talk to the girl she refused to even look at the officers and held Nick's arm while sobbing.

"I made the call. If you want my son and I can accompany you to the station." Approaching the officers I offered, knowing what could be greater than a family to reunite. We three get into the backseat of the car with that girl sitting between me and Nick. She finished her Ice cream and gave the empty cup back to Nick. "Thank you," she said to Nick while in the next moment I saw that girl's fist on my hand while she answered to Nick over something I didn't focus on. She was very nervous but her acts made me recall my daughter. This is when I noticed that girl up close. She had a beautiful braid with her blonde hair and light blue color eyes. Her skin was as porcelain and her features seemed to make me recall someone I can't point on.

I heard Nick calling her, Amber, while I saw Amber so relax with all of us now. Nick told her that we are getting her back to her brother that I figured she had told Nick about. I didn't interrupt their talk and officers did the same.

"Mommy? Are we getting her to her parents?" Nick asked,

"Yes, Nick," I replied passing a smile to the girl who was letting me see her curious blue eyes.

"I don't want daddy," She said with a pout on her mouth.

"Why?" I worried,

"don't like daddy," She seems sad.

"Do you like your mama?" I asked,

"have...no mama," The girl replied,

"Do you like your brother?" I asked cautiously. In response, she nodded her head vigorously.

"Then, I will give you to your brother," A smile spread on her lips making me awed by her cuteness. She was so pretty that anyone would love to give her a rib crushing hug but I didn't want her to be scared of me.

She was sleeping over my arm the moment we reached the station. I scooped the girl in my arms after I got out of the car and at the same time saw two black cars stopping in front of the station. Two men with a boy with the same age as the girl came out of the car. The boy ran to me and asked, "Is she fine?" The boy seemed younger than my Nick. His blonde hair was kept perfectly while his green eyes still seemed clear behind his spectacles. His blue t-shirt was plain with khaki pants that gave him a serious look.

"Yes, she is fine, only sleeping," My answer was met with a sigh and smile on his face. I answered but couldn't look away from the kid. The kids seemed so familiar. As if I know them or their family. The bodyguards seemed to be Asian and this made me ask,

"Where is your dad?" I asked and the question made that boy look at the car confused before he uttered in confusion, "Daddy,...
